InterContinental Barcelona

We stayed at the InterContinental Barcelona after disembarking from a 24 day transatlantic cruise in April of 2025. I have to say that this was the nicest and friendliest hotel I have ever stayed at in my five decades of traveling. Check-in was fast, easy, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We checked-in early without issue, although we had a short wait for the room to be ready. We spent that wait at the roof-top terrace/bar, and enjoyed the view of Barcelona. The room was well appointed and very comfortable and even provided a view of the Montjuïc Castle outside the window. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had wonderful amenities, and had both a tub and shower. The best part of the hotel was the roof-top terrace and bar which also served food. The atmosphere was relaxing and we spent several hours just decompressing from our almost month-long travel. The night we were there, the InterMilan soccer team also stayed at the hotel, and the staff did an excellent job handling the crowd that was outside the hotel hoping to interact with the soccer players. We definitely will stay here if we ever visit Barcelona again!

I have stayed in Barcelona a few times over the years and used different hotels, all very enjoyable in their own right. When I return I can only see myself returning here though. The proximity of the hotel to the FC Barcelona game was a big advantage, there’s a main metro station a few minutes walk away and the absolutely outstanding way all of the people here treated my young son and I was just outstanding. We really appreciated their kindness and helpfulness, the hotel is spotless, there’s was literally no noise heard at all from outside or other rooms and the food was great too. So impressive, they can be proud of the entire package here and I can’t recommend the place enough

The most professional service and felt like we were eating art. A must try when in Barcelona! We got the 24K tasting and we were there for 3 hours yet it didn’t feel like it. We were cared for and great for a special occasion! Would highly recommend.

I have stayed in this hotel whenever I have come to Barcelona. Have always found it to be welcoming and friendly. Hotel is amazing, comfortable bed, pillows the right amount of fluffy. Restaurant has great service. The service from Cabot, Karima and Rilben was second to none.
