Reviews for L'Ermitage Beverly Hills

Mostly great with a few small hiccups

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We were going to LA for spring break with our 9 year old from the east coast, and debated a lot about where to stay. Overall, we had a great stay at the L'ermitage (with a few small issues described below). The good: - Great location, you can walk to Rodeo drive, grocery stores, restaurants, and are close to everything in Beverly Hills -The hotel is in a residential area, and at least our room in the back was very quiet, which is so hard to find -Service is really top notch without being stuffy. You just feel that everyone wants to help you (if you need it). No one felt like we were a bother. Honestly, this is what sets the hotel apart. -Valet/parking (yes, it's expensive, but seems to be the going rate for hotels in LA) was really good. It was always smooth and quick. -The room, which was just a regular room, was incredibly spacious with a great dressing area/closet that helped keep everything tidy -While not a family hotel, it was very child friendly, and we saw multiple other children. We were able to get a cot for our 9 year old ($35 per night, the sofa could be used but is not an actual sofa bed) The not so good: - The hotel has a roof top pool, and while small (you could not do laps) is great for a dip or kids. It is also not very busy, so the small size is not such an issue. However, while it is supposed to be heated to 86 degrees, while we were there something went wrong with the heater and it took multiple days to reheat and be usable. In addition, this was not really announced to us and we had to ask. It was a bit of a disappointment. - We ate at the restaurant for a lunch, a dinner, and everyday for breakfast. On average, the restaurant was quite good (prices are a bit high, though again, seem to be the norm for LA), but we did run into an issue at our last breakfast when we ordered the pastry basket. The pastries were clearly stale and they had reheated them to try to mask this. Eventually the manager did take care of it, but it took a bit to get to that point. Overall, we would definitely go back there and would recommend it to friends and family.

Overall a luxurious and nice hotel but for me the value to money didn't come out.

Beautiful suites, amazing service. There was some maintenances at the pool and in the gym which affected my stay. The steambath didn't work and when they turned it in the third day, it was still way too cold for a steam bath. No nice atmosphere for it, very loud steam.

Relaxing Oasis

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The hotel is well situated in West LA off the beaten path in a area that is close enough to everything you want to do, but in a little Oasis on Burton Way. Enjoy the quiet comfort of the hotel with the well appointed rooms and roof top bar (which was under construction during my visit).

Great Family Time at the L'Ermitage

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My family really enjoyed our week at the L'Ermitage. The heritage suite was spacious allowing our family to spend time together but sleep apart. The hotel was quick and pleasant for any ask (different pillows, more blankets, a fan) everything came very quickly. It was such a relaxing and pleasurable experience filled with nice caring staff members.

Top 5 Hotels

I travel frequently for business and typically stay at high end properties. This is absolutely one of my favorites and this trip was my 4th stay. The staff is incredible and welcoming, the entire property is immaculate and overall the experience is better than most properties I've visited. I will be back.
