Reviews for Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol

Beautiful property with truly exceptional staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We had a very memorable stay at Park Hyatt Los Cabos as a family traveling with young children. The overall experience was excellent, and the standout aspect was the exceptional staff—every interaction was warm, attentive, and highly responsive. We stayed in a ground-floor suite with a private pool, which the children absolutely loved and made our stay especially enjoyable. One small observation is that there was more foot traffic in the area than expected, particularly in the mornings, which slightly reduced the sense of privacy, though it did not significantly impact our overall experience. We also noticed some construction noise from a neighboring property at times. While outside the hotel’s control, earlier communication would have helped set expectations. A particularly memorable moment was a thoughtful housekeeping gesture on our last night—our sofa bed had been proactively prepared even though we had not requested it. It reflected a level of intuitive care that truly stood out. Overall, the property is beautiful, the atmosphere is very relaxing, and the Kids Club was enjoyable for our children. We would happily return.

PURE MAGIC

Our stay at Cabo del Sol was the definition of luxury. We were upgraded to an unbelievable 3-bedroom villa with a private infinity pool — “amazing” honestly doesn’t even do it justice. The villa itself felt like a true home away from home. It included a full kitchen with premium appliances, a Butler’s kitchen, three beautiful bedrooms, and an enormous living, dining, and kitchen area. Massive sliding doors opened completely to an expansive patio/terrace with multiple lounge areas, a dining table, and breathtaking ocean views. One of our favorite parts of the trip was whale watching right from our patio while enjoying morning coffee. It felt magical every single day. From the moment we arrived, every detail was thoughtfully prepared. The fridge was stocked with waters, salads, bread, butter, and other essentials, and we were constantly treated to incredible pastries and desserts from the on-site bakery. Truly every little detail you could think of was already taken care of. The property itself is stunning — beautifully manicured landscaping, pristine amenities, and a luxurious five-star feel throughout. The beach club food was also incredible. I never would have expected Mediterranean/Lebanese cuisine in Mexico, but it was absolutely delicious, along with the breakfasts and every other restaurant we visited. A huge shoutout to Rich from property operations, as well as our incredible personal ambassadors Michelle and Tiffany, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They knew I was celebrating my 38th birthday, and while my husband and I were out to dinner, they surprised us by decorating our bathroom with balloons, photos, special treats, and a beautiful hot bath prepared for us when we returned. It was such a thoughtful and unforgettable touch. Michelle and Tiffany also gave us adorable little whale stuffed animals to bring home to our kids, which meant so much to us. It’s those personal touches that made this trip feel truly special. Overall, this was one of the most luxurious and memorable travel experiences we’ve ever had, and we already cannot wait to come back.

Amazing Experience

Stayed at the new Park Hyatt Los Cabos and had a really great experience. They’re still working through a few things since it’s a new property, but honestly the service more than made up for it. The staff was incredible and genuinely went above and beyond the entire stay. The property itself is beautiful, food was really good, and the spa was amazing. Definitely one of the best and biggest spas in Cabo. Looking forward to coming.

Full transparency, We used points, and for that, no regrets. If we'd been paying cash, I'd have stayed at the Four Seasons or somewhere else. Going in, I read a ton of reviews calling this place absolutely incredible with amazing service, so my expectations were really high. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are nice, but nothing about it set it apart from other luxury properties I've stayed at. They're marketing it as ultra luxury and I don't think it's there yet. Luxury, sure. Ultra luxury, no. The property was pretty empty during our stay, which I expected given how new it is. The pool areas were a highlight, lots of different options to choose from. Service was a little slow across the board, which I'm willing to attribute to a new property that's probably not fully staffed and still finding its rhythm. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely lovely. That said, a couple things really stuck with me: The check-in experience was a little off. The woman who checked us in was so nice, but she seemed to have no idea about the reservations and experiences we'd already booked directly with the concierge before our trip. She started asking if we needed a tee time for my husband when we'd already made one. At a property positioning itself this way, I'd expect whoever checks you in to walk through your pre-arranged schedule. Felt like a real disconnect. The bigger issue: I told her I'd tried to book a spa appointment for the morning my husband was golfing but nothing was available, and asked if she could have the concierge call me to see if they could fit me in. She confirmed my phone number, said absolutely, and no one ever called. I don't know if she dropped the ball or the concierge did, but that's not what you expect from a luxury property. There was also a president's club on site for a tech company during our stay, which is a normal thing at resorts. But it felt like that group was the priority, and if you weren't with them, you got secondhand treatment. Overall, nothing about the trip was bad. The property has the bones to be wonderful, and I think they'll get there with more time. But right now, it doesn't live up to the ultra luxury marketing. Bottom line: if you're booking on points, it's a great option. If you're paying cash and want to stay in the Cabo del Sol area, I'd go with the Four Seasons.
