Angel is the best waiter in the WHOLE RESORT He has taken care of our family for the better part of the last decade whenever we come and visit. Angel represents the pinnacle of all phenomenal service, and we all feel incredibly lucky to have had such an incredibly server. Angel is everything right about Villa Del Palmar 5 stars!!!

Villa del Palmar Cancun – Beautiful Resort, But Serious Service Issues ⭐⭐⭐ / 5 We recently stayed at Villa del Palmar Cancun with our family and while the resort itself is stunning — gorgeous grounds, beautiful pools, and a prime location — I'd be doing fellow travelers a disservice if I didn't flag some significant service failures that put a real damper on our trip. First, the front desk mishandled our reservation and locked us out of our rooms the day before our departure. This was a stressful and completely avoidable situation that should never happen to any guest. Second, when we arrived, no one at the front desk took the time to properly explain how our all-inclusive package worked. Gratuity is included — but we weren't told that. Instead, at every meal and every drink order, servers were prompting us for tips, leaving our family feeling uncomfortable and confused throughout the trip. We also were never shown how to check out from restaurants with a zero-balance, which made every dining experience more awkward than it needed to be. A simple walkthrough at check-in would have gone a long way. Third, I had prepaid for three massages on Tuesday and arrived to find that the spa had no record of the reservation — despite the fact that I had the receipt in hand. Getting that sorted out cost us valuable vacation time. Then there's the nickel-and-diming. A short five-minute taxi ride to the pier cost us $50. For a resort at this price point, that kind of unexpected charge leaves a bad taste. Future guests should be aware and budget accordingly — TAKE AN UBER!! The most frustrating experience, however, involved the timeshare presentation. My son and daughter-in-law agreed to attend a timeshare event in exchange for a deeply discounted catamaran excursion. They held up their end of the deal and sat through the entire presentation. When the rest of our family decided not to purchase, the resort refused to honor the discount and kept their money. They were ultimately forced to dispute the charge through American Express to get their money back. This kind of predatory practice is unacceptable and other families should be forewarned. Now, for the bright spot of our entire trip: Ernesto and Alfredo. These two young men ran the outdoor activities and were absolutely outstanding. Their energy, creativity, and genuine enthusiasm made every activity a blast for our whole family. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone — kids and adults alike — was having fun, and they succeeded every single day. Villa del Palmar should consider themselves lucky to have these two on staff, and they deserve serious recognition from management. The resort has real bones — it's beautiful and the location is hard to beat. But the repeated operational failures, hidden costs, and deceptive timeshare practices are hard to overlook. Go in with your eyes wide open and your credit card disputes ready. Would I return? No. For $15,000, the trip and experience should have been effortless and enjoyable.

The resort is lovely and well maintained but it’s the impeccable service that is what keeps bringing us back . The pool concierge Jorge and Alejandro worked so hard to make sure everyone is comfortable by the pool. Renan was our pool waiter all week and even though busy always made sure you had a drink. Nubia and Alejandra assisted me with spa and dinner reservations . The spa is so special , Grecia and Lulu are amazing masseuses! I can’t wait to return . Each day was started with Andrea bringing our breakfast to the room . Her smile and professionalism was a perfect start to the day . We went to Davino bar for a pre-dinner drink and Obet went out of his way to start our evening off right ! Dinners were incredible , will review separately. I cannot wait to return ❤️

I broke my arm the day before we left for this resort. The pool staff here were amazing! Specifically, David and Kevin. They could see that we were having a tough time with this broken arm and came forward to offer us some solutions to some shade and some comfort. I can’t tell you how much we appreciated this and it made our vacation much more enjoyable.
