Sunny skies shine brightly over lush stretches of vineyards, cool crisp air flows through fields, and the beauty of the Renaissance era is brought to life once more - all in Montalcino, Italy's Castello di Velona. Nestled in the hills of Siena, in Tuscany's picturesque d'Orcia Valley, this stunning 11th-century castle has been fully restored and today offers a fairytale luxury European escape. Immerse yourself in serenity in either the traditional castle rooms or the new spa-style rooms, relaxing in complete comfort and enjoying sweeping views of Tuscany. The classically styled Castello Rooms are charming and full of life, with antique furnishings, and ornate style reminiscent of Italy's artistic history. Conversely, opt to embrace sleek modernity in the Spa Rooms, outfitted in warm whites and cream tones, boasting an elegant simplicity with plush linens and indulgent soaking tubs that flow with natural mineral spring water.

Absolutely spectacular stay at this beautiful castle in Tuscany. The staff was amazing and attentive. Excellent food and wine, and a beautiful spa and thermal pools. In addition to all of castle amenities, we would also recommend an onsite wine tasting, the farm tour/lunch/wine tasting at neighboring Serendipity Farms, a magnificent dinner at Michelin star Silene (25 minutes on a winding road so we hired a transfer), the private sound healing session and a day trip with Ardi from Capital Travel Services to Pienza and Montepulciano. All were amazing experiences. Thank you, Massimo, to you and the entire Castello di Velona team. We truly had a fun and relaxing time there. The property is gorgeous but the hospitality comes from the people. We enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon.

Our stay at Castello di Velona was an amazing experience. From the front desk to the behind-the-scenes staff, everyone went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Unfortunately, I don’t have all the names of the wonderful team members who assisted us, but I would especially like to recognize Fabiola and Massimo. They were exceptional—professional, attentive, warm, and truly dedicated to providing outstanding service. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to returning in the future.

I had a wonderful experience at Castello di Velona! I had been waiting for nine years to enjoy the thermal waters,Tuscan cuisine and beautiful views! The staff was professional and I was delighted to see Mr. Fabiani after several years. The room was comfortable and beautiful we enjoyed the welcoming snacks and letter! This place is well worth it and did not disappoint my husband and I were celebrating our 23rd anniversary early and we enjoyed Castello di Velona very much! The views were amazing I paint and received much inspiration! I’m so glad I had this experience! I’ve recommended this place and would love to return soon! Khaleedah

Hi there, I recently visited the Spa and had an amazing experience massage with Alessandro and Gloria. These two clearly have dedicated themselves to their craft and it shows during the session. I felt/feel at peace and wish to travel all the way back to receive another one. Highly recommend the Soul Contactor massage- Its not on the menu, but it is incredible

Most outstanding was Castello di Velona, located on its own hill in Montalcino, Italy. Just approaching it was a fairy tale. This restored castle enabled me to imagine what it would be like being a princess for five wonderful nights. The suite encompassed two rooms, with exquisite furnishings and frescoes. The views from the windows looked upon the vineyards and winding roads of Tuscany. The service and food were wonderful.
