Domes Zeen Chania

We had a fantastic stay at Domes Zeen Chania and would return in a heartbeat. The only issue we experienced was with our room, but it was resolved quickly by a genuinely caring, attentive team who clearly take pride in looking after their guests. What impressed us most was how the hotel manages to be incredibly family-friendly while still feeling like a stylish adults-only retreat. The design, atmosphere and overall aesthetic are exceptional, creating a calm and luxurious environment without compromising on family needs. Breakfast was a highlight each morning, with high-quality food served in a beautiful setting. The reception team were outstanding throughout our stay, helping with everything from restaurant reservations and taxi bookings to arranging buggies back to our room. We were travelling with our 8-month-old daughter on her first holiday, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure she was happy and well looked after. Their warmth and attention to detail made a real difference to our experience. The hotel is also within walking distance of Chania's old and new towns. The path is a little rough in places, but it's manageable with a pram and well worth the walk. A beautiful hotel with exceptional service, thoughtful staff and a wonderful atmosphere. We can't wait to come back. Thanks again to all the amazing staff, too many to mention by name!

Fantastic property ticked away off the beaten path. We had a wonderful room with a pool and incredible view up on the hill. A bit of a walk down to the restaurants and beach but they have carts to take you if needed. The service was spot on and the food is excellent and seasonal. Good option for families.

Amazing experience at an amazing hotel! We spent 7 nights and loved every minute of our stay. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The staff was extremely attentive! They made every part of our stay memorable. They anticipated our needs and saw that we were well taken care of. We cannot wait to return next year. A true luxury experience in every way.

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon stay in Chania and were informed less than 24 hours before check-in that the hotel canceled our reservation - something I didn’t even know was possible. What made the situation even worse was the way it was handled. When I explained this was part of our honeymoon and we only had one night in Chania, Maria responded with, “you only booked this one month ago,” which felt completely uncalled for, dismissive, and unprofessional. At no point during our communication did Maria show any empathy or accountability for the situation. Her responses were cold, defensive, and completely lacking in basic hospitality. This was shocking especially from a Marriott-affiliated property. We were offered an “upgraded” room at a clearly downgraded property, which completely missed the point. We then had to scramble to find new accommodations in a foreign country less than 24 hours before arrival and also extend our rental car because of the change. This situation disrupted part of our honeymoon, but the way we were spoken to made it far worse. What’s even more concerning is that, based on other reviews, we are clearly not the first guests this has happened to. I will be reaching out to Marriott corporate about this issue. If our call was on a recorded line, I encourage them to listen to it.

What a lovely hotel, even better than the pictures I saw when booking, a lovely warm welcome with refreshments and explanation about the resort. All the rooms are individual and some come with their own pool, which my daughter had. Lovely and spacious and with lovely furniture. I have stayed at many hotels but this was one of the best for breakfast! Best start to the day All the staff were fantastic, from the reception, breakfast and lunch staff, all the beach staff and housekeeping - they couldn’t do enough for you. No problem too small and promptly dealt with. I couldn’t remember all the names but Theordore and Anastasia as well as Marianna at reception who checked us in - Amazing 👏🏽
