Five star experience.
My wife and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. We were celebrating our Fifteen year anniversary and everyone we interacted with on staff was informed and very was accommodating. The Golden Bay activity was entertaining and enjoyable as we had the perfect window to enjoy Will’s presentation. Dinner at the restaurant was fabulous as I had the catch of the day and my wife had scallops. The meal was excellent and so was the staff. The room was nicely appointed with incredibly views of the water. Would definitely stay here again or one of the companies others hotels, just to mix things up!

Reopened too early
We recently stayed at this hotel shortly after its reopening and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing, especially because it was for my wife’s birthday celebration. What frustrated us most was that the hotel never informed guests ahead of time that many of the advertised amenities and services were not actually available yet. Had we known, we likely would have chosen another property. Some of the major issues: - The fine dining restaurant was closed/unavailable - No room service was offered, which was especially disappointing because my wife had been looking forward to breakfast in bed for her birthday - The check-in staff appeared untrained and did not know how to properly check in guests - Staff did not know how to operate amenities like the outdoor fire pits - Management promised us a credit to make up for the issues, but it was never posted We understand reopening a hotel is challenging, and we try to be patient and reasonable. However, it genuinely felt like paying guests were being used to train staff during an unfinished reopening process, without transparency beforehand. The property itself has potential, but management needs to be honest with guests about what is and isn’t operational before accepting reservations.

Could not have been a more perfect get away. Everything was simply fabulous. The first of many more Tides Inn stays to come!!
