This resort is the perfect destination to relax, reset, and recharge. The resort itself is sublime, and the pool villas are nothing short of outstanding. My primary goal for this trip was to unwind and soak up some sun, and this resort exceeded my expectations. Each day, the resort offers a variety of scheduled activities, and I particularly enjoyed the Iris Farm tour, which I highly recommend to anyone staying here. The spa treatments were luxurious, and the food at Jahn steakhouse was excellent. The breakfast buffet was delightful, offering a wide range of choices along with an à la carte menu. As a solo traveler, I never felt awkward or out of place, despite the majority of guests being families or couples. This is a testament to the exceptional service and attentiveness of the staff. Every single person I encountered went above and beyond to ensure I had the best and most comfortable experience possible. Special shout out to Ying at Jahn and Zse in the spa for being so friendly and accommodating, but the entire staff were incredibly attentive and courteous.

We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend the Conrad Koh Samui to anyone looking for a relaxing and rewarding experience. 11 out of 10 stars because the team provides an amazing experience that is beyond! I am normally not a beach/resort vacation type person, so I was worried about spending 5 nights because I knew the Conrad is in a remote location so we would spent most of our time on property. We actually ended up adding a night and staying 6 nights / 7 days total (Mon-Sun) and I did not get bored at all! The mix of activities offered is perfect because you can do a couple low key activities every day while also balancing relaxing time. The activities below might sound like a lot, but it ends up being perfect because you have lots of down time to relax in between, but you’re not bored just relaxing by the pool because you also have fun things to do. First things first, the private villas are indeed amazing. They all face west so you get wonderful sunsets, especially reflecting off the infinity pools which are surprisingly large and thus very enjoyable. I believe all the villas may be laid out the same so they’re all good, but we especially appreciated our room for the great location. We had Room 308 with a beautiful view of the Five Islands. If you look up the hotel map, you’ll see the rooms around this level are all a short (but but steep) walk down to the breakfast buffet, the pool area and beach area, and also the spa. This meant we could easily pop out so we weren’t completely reliant on getting buggy rides all the time (see buggy note below). Now to the best part - the amazing service! We greatly enjoyed how wonderful and friendly everyone on the team is - they are all so good at their jobs! We want to especially recognize the teams below: - Everyone on the concierge team is AMAZING. You can message them via WhatsApp (or like or Hilton App). They are super responsive and friendly and will help with everything from sign up for fitness and other activities, transport on and off property (see buggy note below), restaurant reservations (both on site and they even helped us look into an off property restaurant that we were going to go to but didn’t have time). So amazing! - I enjoyed trying all the complimentary fitness classes (3 a day). Special shoutout to Fuse, the Thai boxing instructor! He makes class so fun and engaging and teaches a full hour - it’s a great workout. I also enjoyed our aqua aerobics instructor on Tuesday and Thursday. I’m sorry I didn’t catch his name, but he makes those classes really fun with his playlist and dance moves. It feels silly, but it’s really a lot of fun so I recommend you try it! - We also enjoyed other complimentary activities like coffee and kombucha intros. Special shoutout to BooM at the cafe, he radiates positive energy! We enjoyed doing the 2pm coffee and 3pm kombucha activities with him, and relaxing at the cafe in between. We also enjoyed the Thai inhaler aromatherapy class at the spa - LOVED the farm tour. Special shoutout to the farm leader and both his helpers! The head farmer was so kind to explain everything and answer all our questions, and a special thank you to his two helpers too! They noticed I really liked feeding the animals, so they gave me extra leaves and bananas to feed them on the farm tour. For background, the Conrad staff started the farm during COVID when there weren’t any guests during the hotel shutdown, and now it’s grown to be a real working farm. It produces tons of eggs and a meaningful amount of produce that is used at the various hotel restaurants every day (not just for show!) They re-use leftovers from the restaurants to feed animals or compost, it’s awesome. They even re-use the coconut shells to line the walking paths and create plant stands! - The housekeeping team is amazing. They do such a great job keeping everything tidying twice a day! I think they may even intentionally schedule times behind the scenes to come when you are out of the room (since the concierge team knows when you will be out for activities). Special shoutout to Pad, Aong and Kay who left us cute handwritten notes with stickers, which brightened my day. We weren’t sure how tipping etiquette works (10% service is already added, so I think may not expected but anything extra to show your appreciation is also appreciated), so I didn’t have any baht and not much USD. I left all the USD I had with the front desk at checkout and asked them to give to specific housekeeping attendants, but I wish I had cash so I could give directly to team members and put in their hand to express my appreciation when I saw them. As a heads up, you may want to consider bringing cash so you have the option to give to different people if you end up loving your experiences as much as I did (wish I had cash to tip all the different staff I shouted out in this review too!) - The buggy team is amazing as well. The Conrad property is built into a cliff so there are huge inclines between everything, even places that are not far apart (hard to explain until you get there) have super steep inclines in between. As a result, you need to catch a buggy ride (aka golf carts) to go everywhere but they’re always around or you can request one very quickly via messaging or phone or team members can call one for you. I was concerned about waiting for rides before I arrived, but then I got here and very impressed how quick and seamless their buggy system is - The service at Zest is great, which is the main/casual restaurant where you have breakfast everyday and they also serve dinner. Everyone on the morning team is always so warm and attentive everyday. Also special shoutout to the evening team on May 10 - it suddenly started raining very hard and they moved everyone’s tables inside so quickly and smoothly. We were so impressed! - We weren’t sure what to expect from the fire show, but WOW special shoutout to these talented and dedicated performers. I really hope the Conrad keeps hiring them! They were like the most talented ravers you could imagine but instead of glowsticks, they are doing crazy moves with props on fire. It started raining at the end our performance but we stayed because they stayed - they kept performing as if no rain. We were so impressed by their dedication and professionalism. Their finale with giant sparks all along the beach and lighting in the background was really cool, and the whole show was amazing! We greatly enjoyed all the complimentary activities and we ended up adding a few paid activities, which we really enjoyed too: - We did a private cooking class, which was great. We were chatting with Marco the GM and told him we really enjoyed the farm tour, so he suggested we could combine cooking class with the farm. We were able to pick produce and eggs from the farm and then use them at our cooking class, so cool! Special shoutout to our cooking class instructor, we had a great time with him and learning about his background (he used to be at Pru, a Michelin restaurant in Phuket). They really set up the cooking class for you (it’s a large impressive setup that takes over the Zest dining room) and we learned good techniques that we will take back with us when we cook at home. Also you get a meal out of it and Conrad Koh Samui aprons to take home as a fun souvenir! - We also signed up for a shared longboat tour, which we also enjoyed. The tour has two stops to snorkel and then pig island. I wasn’t sure what to expect - I read that pig island is a tourist trap, which it is, but the island is also neat/fun to see all the pigs (especially all the cute babies). We ended up really enjoying the snorkeling time too. Not sure if we just got lucky but we saw TONS and TONS of different fishes which was super cool and the coral reefs are shallow so that was cool to see too. Wish there was more time to snorkel and less time on pig island (or maybe even add another stop instead of spending so much time on pig island) but maybe you can make this request and see what happens. The captains were great and took initiative to suggest/offer taking photos for everyone, including sitting out on the boat deck for beautiful sunset photos on the ride back! In summary, we LOVED our stay and would HIGHLY recommend the Conrad Koh Samui. I know I overused the words “amazing” and “really enjoyed” 100x in this review so that gives you a sense of my experience. Thank you to the whole Conrad Koh Samui team for a wonderful week! Your hard work truly makes this place a paradise for guests. I hope all the team members I mentioned in this review can get special recognition from management. If like me, you’re slightly delusional and think you should be treated like royalty and that you are the main character, go to the Conrad Koh Samui. You will leave feeling very validated in your delusions. This resort was amazing and I had such a great experience. I prearranged most of this with the concierge, so I was able to show up and everything was taken care of. Starting with the airport pickup I arranged-the driver was on time and easy to spot. In the vehicle he had waiting for me a fresh, cold coconut to drink, a cold refreshing towel, a selection of snacks like plantain chips and coconut cookies, with a decorative flower weave out of the local plumeria flower. When you pull up to the lobby you are greeted with a stunning view of the ocean and the five islands. My room had a similar view which was amazing for viewing sunsets! I arrived early in the morning and arranged for a spa visit. The spa experience was top tier! All details were thought of, and the presentation for tea, oil scent selection, even down to the petals in the water bowl for my feet it was very well done. Great massage pressure, I left feeling like a million bucks! Breakfast at Zest was wonderful with a nice selection from the buffet and options to order off the menu. I loved the fresh coconuts to drink being available. The chef and staff came out to greet guests, check on our stay, and I thought it was a thoughtful touch. The food is really great no matter where you eat at the property. I had a delicious wagyu steak at Jahn, and the servers there were so kind! Ko lounge has a stunning view and great throughout the day. Room service is quick and efficient and all the food was good, but I especially enjoyed my floating breakfast! It was so much food with a variety of options and the presentation was perfect! This is a big property so they will come as needed with a buggy to drive you to any location you need on property. This was truly a very luxurious stay and I can’t wait to visit again. You will not be disappointed!
