What a fabulous place We've just spent the best 2 weeks ever at Hansar Samui, from start to finish it's been excellent. Rooms - we had room 1303, which is a sea view excel. Clean, tidy, comfortable with a large balcony and beautiful views, what isn't there to like. The shower is big and works well, the bed is comfortable. The staff clean daily and are friendly, polite, and accommodating. There are 40 steps from the ground floor, and 3 different staircases you can use. Pool and pool bar - Fabulous! You can collect towels from the bar each morning and choose your loungers. There are plenty. The staff will remove towels if guests haven't been seen for a while. The pool is clean and has a great beach and sea view. The bar happy hour is daily from 2pm and the staff are very friendly and welcoming; you can order at your lounger or go to the bar. The bar food is good value, we ate bar snacks for lunch and then went out on the night (see below) There are 2 dogs that are about near the pool bar, normally at night but occasionally you might see them during the day. They are perfectly friendly and will not cause you any bother. They don't interact unless you interact with them. Spa - absolute knockout massages. A full body coconut oil massage cost £45 per couple, sensational value and oh, the spa is gorgeous. You can just walk in and book a slot. Trips - we booked a full day private snorkelling trip, a half day private island tour and the Samui Elephant Sanctuary through the wonderful El on the tour desk in reception. Nothing is too much trouble for her. The Elephant Sanctuary was amazing; I would thoroughly recommend a visit. Fisherman's Village bars/food; CocoTams - the light show is worth seeing, nice location and drinks were ok, however we did feel it was overrated. Wave - small and pleasant bar for drinks on the beach. The food menu looked decent. Link - Great happy hour from 4pm and good food. The cocktails are very nice. Lovely to sit and look out over the beach (if you are there about 6pm look out for the guy who is flying his two Macaws along the beach) Garnish - I wasn't overly impressed with it; it felt a bit pretentious, and we only went once. The Frog - cracking little pub for a few beers. Karma Sutra - again, Great for drinks and watching the world go by Gaucho - decent pasta but quite pricey. There is a 100 baht cocktail van near the Hut, another well worth visiting. Now for our absolute favourite restaurants The Hut - the far end of the village, just keep walking until it gets quieter. Cheap, tasty Thai food and extremely decent prices. 2 visits and loved it. Charm - the home of the wonderful Renata and her team. Fabulous food, wonderful vibe. You do need to book as it gets incredibly busy. Again, this is the far end of the village, just before the Hut. We went 3 times it was that good. Suppatra Thai Dining - what can I say? Wonderful wine, marvellous food (the menu changes daily). You must book and get a taxi as this is near to the Big Buddha. 3 visits here too 😃 Taxis are easy to get - we used Grab which is like UBER, reasonable price and safe. We will 100% come back to Hansar Samui, loveliest hotel ever. Happy to answer any questions 😃 Sent from Outlook for Android

Great location in bo phut right next to the village and market. Beach and beach bar were great and our sea view room was extremely comfortable. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. There were very few beds on the beach but we always managed to find somewhere to sit. I would definitely go back !

Friendly and helpful staff, Great breakfast, comfy bed and clean room. We had a sea view with a lovely large balcony. Bar snacks and restaurant food was also good. Excellent location, short walk to night market, restaurants and bars. Would stay here again if ever back in Koh Samui.

We love the Hansar. Khun Tee the assistant manager is amazing and very welcoming. Other staff we always love to come and see are Tony and A who work at the pool bar and A who is the tour guide lady The rooms are a good size and amenities really good. Location for Fisherman’s Village is the best for a 5 star hotel
