Shana Hotel & Spa

The resort is exceptional and offers everything you could want to do. Their breakfast has lots of choices while overlooking the pool and the rain forest. The restaurant at night has a great menu, music, and drinks. The rooms are spacious, exceptionally clean, maintained, beds are comfortable, etc. The hotel staff is immensely helpful, they will call taxis for you, help you find an event, offer suggestions. There is a hidden gem beach at this hotel and two levels of room. One level is up on the hill but the primary office, the other is just down the hill. There is a gift shop, 2 pools, etc. There are animals around in the afternoon or early mornings to see. When I go back, I will stay here again, it was fantastic. There were 6 of us and everyone wanted to stay here for our entire trip.

10/10 experience at Shana by the Beach! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and truly enjoyed getting to know the staff. Kevin greeted us with a golf cart tour of the property and gave amazing food recommendations. Jalel at reception always had a smile and kindly helped arrange taxis and anything else we needed. The pool staff, including Johnny, Sydney, and others, were fantastic—bringing great energy along with our drinks and delicious popcorn. Speaking of drinks, Derek, the bartender, makes the best mojitos! He was one of the highlights of our stay, and happy hour quickly became my favorite part of the day :) The hotel itself is set on a beautiful property overlooking the jungle, where you can spot incredible wildlife right from your room or the pool. During our stay, we saw monkeys, sloths, iguanas, macaws, toucans, geckos, and more—all without leaving the hotel grounds. The sunset views from the pool were unforgettable, and we made so many great memories there. More than anything, the staff truly embodied the pura vida spirit and made our stay feel special from beginning to end. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Costa Rica. Everyone made us feel like family, and we’re already thinking about planning a return trip. Much love from room 341 <3

Absolutely incredible views and stay! All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Johnny helped us set up our excursion to Manuel Antonio and our couples massage.

We enjoyed our stay at Shana by the Beach. Room was clean and staff was super accommodating. Breakfast was great, walking distance to the beach was a plus. Location is close to lots of local eateries and supermarkets.

Excellent stay, highly recommend for family with kids. Pool, restaurant, rooms, access to beach were excellent. Were able to watch wildlife inside the resort which was a plus as well. Overall - it was a memorable stay! And kudos to the staff, you were excellent.
