Reviews for Avani Palazzo Moscova Milan Hotel

Friendly hip hotel offers a great boutique experience. Highly recommended

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We have been to Milan several times, and were happy to find the Avani for our most recent stay. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived by the staff, and I was very impressed by the friendly and attentive way they greeted us, got us to our room (which was ready early, important after a long journey in!), and the overall "boutique" vibe of the hotel. There are only 65 rooms, so there is definitely a personal touch, and the feeling is hip without feeling overly packaged or trying too hard. I'd say uniquely Italian, but maybe it's uniquely Milanese - whatever it is, it worked for me! Happy to have stayed here, and I am certain I will return next time I am in Milan.

i try to post only positive feedbacks and i do it extremely occasionally. BUT in this particular case I just can't remain quiet. To help other travellers, I'd like to share my experience in Avani Palazzo Moscova. After excellent check-in, we arrived in the room 416 and realized that we're on CONSTRUCTION SITE as somebody is always on drilling the wall. we realized that sound is from elevator. we informed the reception about that and asked about possible solution, the receptionist assured us that the elevator will be blocked during the night. OK, when we returned from the restaurant back to the hotel - the elevator was really blocked (SIGN: don't use the elevator or something like that) and we had a chance to fall asleep well BUT guess when and why we did wake up? right, at 4:15 AM because of the elevator!!! + a standard breakfast + Poor reaction from the hotel staff and afterwards Minor customer service. To sum up: i will go with many other options to stay in Milan.

Reasonable but there will be nicer options

When we arrived at the hotel, the outside and the lobby looked beautiful. The staff at reception also very friendly. So far so good. The standard room however is extremely small, the shower doesn’t get beyond lukewarm and we were kept up most of the night by the sound of the lift going up and down near our room and people in the corridors. The location is okay, on the corner of a busy road about 10 minute walk from Brera district and 30-40 minute walk from the centre. Overall a reasonable hotel, I just feel there would be much nicer options in Milan

Cutesy friendly service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 months ago

This Italian trip for us was about enjoying refurbished buildings being brought back to life in creative ways and Avani was chosen for that. Loved the cutesy take on a restored former train station - our corner suite on first floor was room was well-designed to maximise closet space and personal comfort. Fluffy bathrobes!!! However, we could hear the trams and traffic clearly - ear plug if it bothers you. The restaurant and lobby floor toilets are tastefully done. Breakfast offers fresh fruit, small warm selection and juices - feels bottled but is okay. Although there wasn’t much eggs left but the service did offer to make some for me - when we breakfasted there was just 3 of us. Service wise I received was great & friendly - from the security / door person to the check in/out, we could check in early and received upgrade and handwritten welcome thanks to GHA status. Walkable to Eatly and straight flat walk to the other train station in Milan - I forget the name - can take train direct to Malpensa airport. Lots of restaurant options within walking distance and tram stop just outside. I do have to say that the photos I saw somewhat made the hotel look larger than it really is - the front porch / drop off area was a much shorter walk than what I thought I saw. Same for the rooms, lobby and restaurant area.

Very good hotel with potential

We had a very pleasant stay. Hotel room was lovely (4th floor). It was spacious, comfortable and had everything you needed. Lovely staff, impressive reception area and welcome. I think however, the ground floor communal areas could be better. The 247 snack bar type lounge was well furnished but cut off from other area really and was always empty. The bar area could be improved by removing the somewhat bizarre fish counter. Replace that with extra seating, sofas and it would be greatly improved. A good location for walking to Garbaldi and main attractions
