Notice: The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. Guests may notice adjusted arrival, periodic noise and limited balcony access. Bella Vista and Lemonia, will likely be closed until the project's completion in Fall 2026. Ría, the poolside Latin American restaurant, will remain open during this time.

If you are planning a trip to the Ritz, take pause. Without a doubt, the most disappointing travel experience of my life. We booked at the Ritz several months ago for a family trip over Memorial Weekend. A few weeks before our arrival, we received a message that the property was undergoing renovations and some areas might be closed off. NOTHING WAS SAID ABOUT JACKHAMMERS AT 8:30 AM ON A SATURDAY! (The capital letters are for Diogo because he selectively reads)We saw the water slides would be open, so we figured, how bad could it be. Ha! We arrived after 7 last night, so there was no construction going on at the time. The reception told us our balconies were locked (what?). All but 1 of the restaurants were closed. The lobby was closed and we entered through plastic tarps. Not a great first impression, but decided to power through. 8 am (on Saturday, Memorial weekend) the jackhammering began. And has not stopped (its almost 3). You can hear it all throughout the resort. Breakfast is in a ballroom. Its more like a company meeting than a luxury hotel. The whole experience has been so disappointed. Its surprising that the Ritz would rather stay open during these conditions and give guests a subpar experience (while still paying $1,000 a night) than shut down and reopen fully ready. I feel terrible for the employees, who are truly doing the best they can in these awful conditions. The management really dropped the ball on this and definitely damaged their own brands reputation. We decided to end our vacation after 1 day and go home, where at least we don't have to listen to jackhammers all day.

The hotel is under renovation and there are lots of inconveniences. When it rains you need to slog through a river into the ballroom/makeshift front desk area. The valet is uncovered so you get soaked upon returning. The temporary restaurant is in one of the ballrooms which is noisy and generally unpleasant. Just wait until they finish. One comment about kids. Do you like them all around you when you travel? If yes, this is your place. If no, avoid this hotel. I've never seen so many kids outside of Disney. Hundreds running free through the hallways unattended, climbing on the furniture, screaming, etc. I guess the water park and amenities attract families. That's fine, but if you are looking for a quiet weekend away this is not the place.

We are a Manhattan based family that just did a mini vaca down in Florida and two of the nights were spent at the Ritz Tiburon. From start to finish, we had an excellent experience and stay. Luz checked us in and was super welcoming from the start. Preston introduced us to our room, who was also very welcoming. Other service highlights included the service from Brittany at Ria- where we ate both nights. The housekeeping staff also left our room flawless. We truly felt we were receiving 5 star service. My kids (8 and 5) absolutely loved the water park- we did go over to the other Ritz but they basically begged to leave b/c they liked TIburon location better. The thing to note is that it does seem a lot of hotel guests/members would visit the pool area early to claim prime seats and then vanish for hours. We went down at 9:30am to truly stay and use the pool and the whole front row facing the lazy river was "claimed." If this could be monitored better, I think would be more fair to the guests who actually want to use the amenities early.

We stayed at the ritz Tiburón for 4 nights and split our vacation between this and another hotel. We had 2 rooms for our family of 5. The rooms were outdated but comfortable. The cleanliness could have been improved with a giant sticky spot on the carpet we kept stepping in and my kids found a baggie of pills behind the bed. We chose this loc over the beach resort for the pools and waterslides for the kids, but the pool area was a little disappointing. It was nice and quiet, service was great and the food was good. We wished for better communication ahead of time of when the restaurants, cafe or pool would be closed. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Came for work but stayed a couple days after to get some down time with my wife. Had an amazing time!! Weather was a tad chilly but overall awesome. Now, I must call out Chrissy at the pool. She was such a breath of fresh air and even put up with my nonsense. Took time to chat with us and just an overall an amazing person. Please tell Chrissy that Derek and Rachel can’t wait to visit again and get a Napples Pier at the pool :)

We had a wonderful trip. All of the staff was extremely courteous, professional, and happy to help. The room and bathroom were both nicely sized, and sufficient for 2 parents and 2 children.
Please let the hotel know we were very impressed with both Chrissy and Oscar out at the pool, and Andrew for our breakfast service. Thank you!
