Rosewood Baha Mar

We have just returned from The Rosewood after 9 nights as a family of 7. This was our first time in the Bahamas however have stayed at Rosewood hotels in London and Europe. Unfortunately this resort doesn't have the usual edge that you would expect with a rosewood. The Bah Mar resort that’s connected to the rosewood really brings down the standards. The rooms themselves are lovely and clean with nice decor however they very average in attention to detail. No complimentary fresh fruit is provided in comparison to other 5 star hotels and they are slow at replenishing mini bar. The towels seem very budget they were very crispy and hard. The butlers that we had assigned to us were friendly and helpful and the WhatsApp system they use works well to keep you informed. The main complaint is the resort is incredibly expensive , beyond anything I have witnessed before. We travel to Dubai every year and it’s more expensive than there and standards are better… Every meal was between $300-600 and that was including 2 children eating free ! Even just some snacks from the resort shop is about $200 and 2 ice creams $60 ! The food is average and nothing to get excited about which is a shame considering the prices of the food. They also have no healthy options of food for children it’s all very much fried food there are no vegetables on any of the children’s menus which is disappointing. We didn’t have one meal that made us want to go back to the resteraunts they are all very average. The service around the Bah Mar resort is terrible mainly SLS all their servers in the shops are so grumpy and they treat you like you are inconvenience! The pool staff around the pool at rosewood were always friendly and helpful but service was slow at times. But otherwise no complaints however The pools are also quite dirty there was lots of mud and debris floating around in the pool. Overall it was a pleasant stay but for the price the resort charges I really wouldn’t return as there are much more luxury and value for money elsewhere.

My stay at Rosewood Baha Mar is not even over, and I can already say this has been a deeply disappointing experience. The casino staff were shockingly rude and unprofessional. I took a photo of my friend in the casino, and there were no clear signs indicating that photos were prohibited. Instead of being politely informed of the policy, I was abruptly confronted by a staff member who demanded to inspect my phone. She proceeded to scroll through my personal photos from the past day, which is invasive and completely inappropriate for a resort of this caliber. When I said I was uncomfortable with someone going through my private gallery, she became even more hostile and threatened to call security. The entire interaction was humiliating, aggressive, and handled with no discretion or respect. What made it worse was the tone of the encounter. Whether intentional or not, the situation carried racial undertones that made me feel singled out and unwelcome. I have stayed at five-star resorts all over the world, and I have honestly been treated with more courtesy and dignity at far less prestigious hotels. For a property that markets itself as luxury, this level of service is unacceptable. A true five-star hotel should know how to enforce policies without intimidating guests or making them feel profiled. This experience has left a terrible taste in my mouth, and unfortunately, I still have two more nights here. Save your money and stay at the Four Seasons instead.

I wanted to take a moment to recognize Shanecquar, the Front Desk Manager, for the exceptional service she consistently provides. I have known Shanecquar for many years, and she has always been professional, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. In today's world, great customer service is rare, but she makes every interaction feel personal and genuine. One of the main reasons I return to places is because of the people, and Shanecquar is certainly one of those people. Her positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to go above and beyond create an experience that keeps guests coming back. She is a tremendous asset to your team, and I wanted to make sure her efforts and dedication were recognized and appreciated.

This was our second trip to the Rosewood BahaMar. It never disappoints. Just gets better. We didn’t choose a suite this time but asked to say hi to out butter from last year. He is the most fabulous butler you can meet. He is not only fabulous and great at his job but he is so personable kind and friendly he’s just the best. He cares about each of his customers greatly. If you head to the manor bar you’ll run into fluffy what a nice man. He met us because we did not know what to do for lunch so he escorted us to the swimming pig. Great choice but never forgot us. Wherever he saw us he had a friendly hi and wanted to know what we needed so we decided to stop at his manor bar for a drink before diner not something we would normally do but fluffy made it perfect. He even offered a special desert after dinner. At the po if you are lucky you will run into the lifeguard Warren who has a love for dogs especially long haired frenchys but just Mention dogs and he’s in. If you love dogs you’re a nice person It was fun discussing dogs with him. In the morning Cafe Boullard waiter kenwood will start your day off with a lovely smile and nice convo. Does it sound like I loved it? Yes and I’m not even discussing dinners Marcus is A1 get the lamb chops Leola very good the sea bass was late you would think they did something terrible they wanted to make up for their error over and over again to the point of we’re fine. They’re just great! It’s ok. Cleo another favorite! I mean let’s face it nothing was bad. Oh the water park! Incredible. If we were younger or had young kids with us omg incredible but us old enjoyed the lazy river. Enough excitement lol. Amazing what they offer for free for staying at any of the hotels. I can’t miss saying go see the flamingos and see their parade at 9:30 am young or old you will love it! Rosewood is elegant!

I have stayed at the Rosewood three times within the last twelve months. This resort is by far the best place I've ever stayed. The environment at rosewood is amazing, the forestry in the resort makes it feel so comfortable and like you are at home. I always feel like it's coming back to my second home, it doesn't feel like just another resort. Between the staff like Crystal and Ricardo at the front desk to our butlers, Shamika, Christnell and Sylanvio the staff was beyond exceptional. The staff at the pool was always amazing, they remember us and welcome us every time we come back. They are so attentive and helpful. We would like to acknowledge our pool staff as well, Tehran, Anthony, DJ, D'Angelo, George, Charles, Jason, Dimetrio and Dominic. All of these staff were so important to making our stay specular as usual. We will continue to come back as often as possible. Thank you so much for a beautiful, stress free stay.
