Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel

Great entrance, beautiful location, great food and okay room. In a nutshell it was rather a beautiful disappointment. I had a booking for 2 nice big rooms on the higher floor to have the sea view, breakfast included. Travelling with my mother was a bday present for her: to have a grand weekend in the nicest city and staying in the most beautiful hotel - was big part of it. She was waiting for a year for this trip. Unfortunately the room was not good, the service was questionable and unhelpful and we got a very loud all night party in the park on top, which nobody told us about in advance. When we were checking in on time - we were coldly notified that there is only one room available and it’s on the 1 st floor, no breakfast included and that we have to wait for another hour for the room to be ready and we can rest at the terrace and someone brings the keys to us. So we waited for 2 hours and nobody came of course. Coming back to the desk - we got our one key finally after 16:00. The room was extra- tiny, not completely clean and… with strange old smell and loud sounds of the pipes. For two adults, who meant to sleep in their own beds - it was clearly too small. We were asking again to check the booking and got notified again that it’s only one in the booking and nothing is available. Of course, staying in the room was not the priority, so we took maximum of the terrace and had a great time in the city. The service at the terrace upstairs was extra friendly and helpful. Your Al Pacino was doing a fantastic job and we forgot his real name unfortunately. But wanted to say our warmest regards! After the weekend I sent my feedback directly and got an answer that it was a system problem and we were right with two rooms + breakfast etc. We were reimbursed for the breakfasts, but the experience was already ruined. I don’t understand why this happened in such high end place.

Great hotel. Excellent staff. Perfect location. Near shopping and beach and restaurants. But not loud. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Highly recommend.

We spent 3 nights at the Anantara Plaza in Nice following river cruises in the north and south of France. It is a lovely, elegant hotel, great location in Nice and the very most amazing view from the rooftop restaurant and bar. Would have preferred an ice bucket and ice machine rather than needing to request from room service.

The hotel is incredibly convenient to the promenade and the water as well as many shops and restaurants. Also remember it’s an easy $40 Uber ride to go to Monte Carlo but note, Uber cannot return you back to Nice (it’s a law) but the train back was only 4 stops and $6 and about a 20 minute walk back to the hotel . The hotel has a professional staff, nice size, super clean rooms and great breakfast on the rooftop. Latifa at the rooftop bar was awesome!

Everything about our stay was amazing. Our guest services manager, Yara was super helpful and managed our stay. Delightful check in process managed by Callum. The suite was super comfortable, the views stunning and the concierge service first class. We were able to get tables in seemingly fully booked restaurants. The suite was so well appointed and we were so very well looked after every day by housekeeping. Will return
