Inside, fresh flowers accent simple, modern island décor and art prints of coral. Koa Kea means "white coral," a tribute to the life-giving power of the reefs. According to Hawaiian mythology, coral is the goddess granddaughter of the world’s creator. From November to May, Koa Kea’s slice of the Pacific hosts a migration of humpback whales, so keep an eye to the horizon.

A Quiet Resort For Couples
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights after we eloped to Kauai. We would go back in a heartbeat. The hotel was quieter than all the others around us, a major positive as we walked by the rest and they looked busy and loud. Very few children at this resort as well (another plus, honestly). It felt like a quiet oasis between the crowds on each beach. The pool area being slightly pushed back from the beach was also great as it ensured the vibe was chill and relaxing. Not necessarily a hotel for someone looking for a party atmosphere. The hotel was also dead center between two wonderful beaches and easy walks to each. The staff were great. We didn't try any of the food but the beverages from the pool bar were solid. Overall, would highly recommend for couples without kids and those on baby moons.

We had a great time at Koa Kea! I would highly recommend this place a couples or anyone looking for an easy relaxing Hawaii experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and the rooms had several extra touches that made us feel extra welcome. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing all around. Clean rooms, nice restaurant, nice pool with bar/restaurant service, a private seating area away from the pool, and right in front of the beach!

This was was excellent all around. Highly recommend!. Able to access beaches, and other bars from near by hotel. All walking distance from this hotel.

Cozy & Quiet Resort
Relax at a high-end friendly and quiet resort on the south side of Kaua'i. After staying at high profile hotels on previous vacations, I appreciate the low key atmosphere and not-so-crowded venue of Ko-a Kea. The rooms are all positioned for optimal ocean views, and the smaller pool translates to fewer children compared to other hotels. The in-house restaurant offers delicious meals and the concierge is efficient and extremely knowledgable about the entire island. Be sure to book a spa appointment-- Jessica provided the BEST massage I've enjoyed in a long time, and my facial was top-notch, as well. I will return to this quieter atmosphere again when visiting this amazing island.

The Koa Kea was top notch! We loved every minute. Beautiful landscaping, rooms nicely appointed and great quality sheets and towels and superb housekeeping. Red Salt restaurant was perfect and delicious. Breakfast, meals, and wait staff were wonderful, especially Raven - our waiter most days. Not one negative about this boutique hotel. Will return again.
