A genuinely beautiful hotel in Malá Strana - the kind of place that photographs well and then actually delivers in person. Housekeeping was excellent, rooms immaculate. The spa was a real highlight- quiet, almost private-feeling, with more than one very hot sauna and barely another guest in sight. The asparagus soup deserves a mention too. The location in Malá Strana is excellent - central, walkable, and feels very safe even in the evenings. One specific note for anyone booking room 215 is a lovely big room, but it sits right next to the housekeeping cupboard; you'll likely be woken by the noise of staff starting their rounds at around 7:30 am. That said, a few things let it down. The pillows were large and very firm, not for everyone, especially not for a small person like myself, and the air conditioning struggled on warmer days. Several staff members seemed nice but visibly rushed, occasionally a little fed up, which felt less like an attitude problem and more like a symptom of how they're being managed. We happened to overhear a job candidate leaving the building after what appeared to be an interview, remarking that the place was looking for "slaves." It was hard to unhear. Finally, if you're vegetarian or vegan, options are limited - worth knowing before you book. Overall, a stunning property with real potential, held back by what seems like a management culture that needs attention.

We had an amazing time in Prague, and it all started with our stay at the Alchymist. The staff were outstanding, helping with all the logistics of our trip. They scheduled an airport transfer which was savior after multiple delays and trip that was doubled in time. They handled all the changes without missing a beat. The hotel is just beautiful. All the amenities that you would ever need. We had help with all our tours, rides to events and help figuring out the tram system. The included breakfast was amazing. I cannot compliment the staff enough. They are attentive, helpful and always so accommodating. Finally, the location. You are a minutes' walk to all the sites, Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and Old Town. Do not waste a minute deciding if you should stay at the Alchymist all other accommodation pale in comparison.

We loved this place so much! The staff at this hotel is so outstanding and the hotel itself is a work of art in a neighborhood that is just perfect to stay in. From the moment we checked in, we felt so well cared for. Every morning at breakfast, we were treated so well, and we so very much appreciated the excellent service and friendliness of Vera, Veronica, Viktorya and Marie. We stayed for one week with our family and we wish we could have stayed longer! We so highly recommend this hotel and we will be back!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for three nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The décor throughout the hotel is stunning and really adds to the overall atmosphere, which is both stylish and welcoming, and the room was lovely. The food was a real highlight of our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant and opted for the tasting menu, and every single course was exceptional. The hotel itself was spotless, which made our stay even more comfortable. Its location is also ideal. as we were able to walk easily to all the main tourist attractions (e.g. 10 min walk to the Prague Castle) and the town centre, which made exploring the area so convenient. We also loved the hotel’s café, which had a very charming and cosy feel to it. Everyone we encountered was professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

On arrival at the Prague airport we were greeted by a driver from the hotel and whisked off to the hotel - this was a great stress-free way to arrive. We were shown around the hotel, a rather baroque Central European fantasy. Our room was a Junior Suite, which consisted of a large bedroom and living area with original wooden beams, glass chandelier and gorgeous king-size bed, as well as a lovely marble bathroom. Both of us were treated to exquisite body massages and afterwards, we relaxed in the spa with its pool, sauna and steam room. We had a voucher towards dinner in the hotel's Aquarius Restaurant. We opted for a wonderful 7-course tasting menu, a nice little bit of everything! The service and staff were exemplary. In fact, the staff were the most efficient and polite I've found in a hotel in a VERY long time. The hotel itself is in a great location - just enough away from the main tourist drag to be quiet, but is still easy enough to walk to all the main points of interest.

Service, luxurious and magnificent surrounding and accommodations are very important. My wife and I set off on an eight country European summer adventure and were overwhelmed by the Alchymist staff and hotel accommodations. Our suite was magnificent and the staff was superb. The crowning achievement however was the dinner in one of the most magnificent settings I have seen. The Alchymist Grand Hotel & Spa's Aquarius restaurant is worth the trip to Prague alone. No wonder this hidden jewel is a favorite of celebrities! Well deserved and bravo again to the staff.
