Excellent hotel! Great staff! Mrs. Louise Roy and Mr. Israël St-Jacques from the Concierge Desk are outstanding! Their kindness provided us a memorable stay

This was supposed to be a weekend getaway for my 50th birthday. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a three-minute lecture on how to navigate the hotel. For those keeping score, getting to our room requires two separate elevator rides and a long trek out to the back nine. After the customary (and rather snarky) check-in formalities, we were guided to our room by the front desk staff. Let's me clear: if your staff feels compelled to explain how to navigate the property, you have a systemic design flaw. It isn't a cute quirk; it is a structural failure. The room was poorly appointed. It was cramped, defined by poor workmanship, and truly the worst "mini-bar" ever. And, those were the highlights. During our four-day visit, housekeeping did not change the sheets once. Even after a minor accident left blood on the linens, the cleaning staff simply remade the bed with the soiled sheets still on it. The room service, on the second day, was equally disappointing; the eggs and bacon arrived undercooked, and when the issue was raised, it went completely unresolved. To "make up" for our disappointment, the front desk supervisor sent a small box of cheap chocolates and then dispatched staff to our room four times in the span of three hours to "check on us." Did they actually clean or remake the room? No. Did they offer a complimentary meal or a discount? No. They simply chose to repeatedly annoy customers who were already highly annoyed. In short, the staff are not particularly friendly or helpful, the rooms are underwhelming, and the service is ridiculous. A luxury price without luxury service or amenities. I am deeply disappointed, I will not return, and I strongly advise avoiding this property entirely. You will be treated significantly better at Le Germain or Auberge Saint-Antoine.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. The location is prime in old Quebec. The staff were exceptional and accommodating, very eager to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The restaurant is Italian, we tried it on our last day but wish we tried it sooner, the food was excellent. There is a beautiful view of the city on the ninth floor from the pool. The bed was very comfortable. We were easily able to explore old Quebec and St Roch by foot. Above all, again the staff were so helpful. Thank you so much for hosting our first trip together, we will never forget it!

My wife and I stayed at Le Capitole for two nights on the back-end of a vacation in February 2026. We enjoyed the hotel--everybody was extremely helpful when needed, the rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location cannot be beat. We arrived early in the morning, so our room was not yet ready. We left our bags with reception, and I enjoyed a Nespresso as we checked in. The hotel's location is wonderful, right next to Old Town and just downhill from the carnival festivities and the greater city. The only criticisms I have are that when our room was ready, the toilet tank did not work. After flushing the toilet, the tank did not automatically refill. We told the front desk, who referred the problem to maintenance. In the meantime, my wife and I had to use small glasses to fill up the tank, going from the sink to the tank and back until there was enough water for a flush. When maintenance did arrive, she brought just a plunger, which obviously did not fix the problem. To the hotel's great credit, a representative came to our room and gave us two options: take an identical room two floors down, or have a suite for the night, but we would need to switch again the next day, as the suite was not available for both nights. We kept it simple and took the identical room. It was a good, quick fix for the hotel and lovely service, but the toilet should be checked before admitting new guests. The room was very small, but just the same, I would recommend the hotel if the price is right.

My husband and I are in our late 30s (from Maine) and took a quick getaway here for 3 nights around New Year's 2026. This was a wonderful hotel with great service and friendly staff. It was in the perfect location for walking everywhere and being in the heart of the holiday activities. The door attendant (Antoine) was very helpful when we first got there. The room was small but very modern and clean. Bed was comfortable and we didn't encounter a lot of noise where our room was right across from the elevator. We liked the Nespresso machine available in the room. We arrived a few hours early and they were very accommodating about letting us check in early without issue. The bar is cozy with a nice relaxing atmosphere. They even had a fun party on New Year's Eve. I was worried that there may be a language barrier, but all the staff we encountered were fluent in English and French. Price was a little high due to the holiday but overall a good value. We did not use the gym or pool. Very convenient location to walk to many restaurants. The only downside about this hotel is how you get to the reception area and to the rooms. A lot of up and down in a small elevator and across long hallways, but we got the hang of it pretty quickly. Loading and unloading zone is only a few parking spots right out front and you need to get everything done within 15 minutes (including navigating to your room and back) so a little rushed. We parked in the parking garage across the street without issue. Overall this was a great stay and we would definitely come back here in the future. Highly recommend!
