Hotel d'Inghilterra - STARHOTELS Collezione

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is worthy of a 5 star hotel. The issue I had was with the small size of our room. I've been to Rome many times and I travel often so I'm familiar with city hotel room sizes, but still I feel like they put us in the least impressive room in the hotel. Tiny room, no view, and an overall unimpressive stay for 140,000 Hilton points. I was hoping for better, especially with Hilton gold status

Sadly, my experience doesn't match the experiences of other guests. I booked via Hilton, expecting the usual Diamond benefits and treatment. Our room was not ready at 11am which was completely fine as it is very early. But we were promised to get called as soon as the room is ready and they put priority on it (we double checked my phone number). 4.5h later we asked again about the room and they told us it is ready and they tried to call us. There was no missed call on my phone 🤔 We went to the room which was the category we booked (I guess), so it was very small and had no (read: very ugly) view. I wasn't too happy with the room as it felt like the worst in the hotel while many others were still available to book. I was told that they are not that much affiliated with Hilton and that I should not expect much as a Diamond member. An employee showed me two other rooms of the same category and one of these was okay for me. She promised to prepare the room keys and bring them to our old room. We waited more than 20 minutes without anyone coming. So I went down again, asking for the keys. Apparently, the house keeping had to check the new room so that's why the wait. She said she tried to call the room and tell us. Well, both of us have been in the room the whole time and there was no call. I asked how much more time we have to wait and she said 30 minutes (!). Right now we are sitting and waiting in the room for more than 1h. This doesn't feel like good service to me to be honest. This feels just annoying. And the stories about calling my phone or the room feel like...stories. Edit: After like 80 minutes we actually got a call that we can change the rooms. Because we were told in the first place that someone will bring the keys, we are still waiting here - but nobody is coming. This is such a waste of our vacation time and it starts feeling like it's on purpose. Now I will go to the reception again to get the keys. Feels like a Holiday Inn Express so far 👍🏻

My stay at Hotel de Inghileterra Collection was truly wonderful. While there were a few construction-related noises during the night on some occasions, it honestly did not take away from the overall experience, which was exceptional from start to finish. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful!! the structure and design are stunning, elegant, and incredibly well thought out. Everything feels refined, luxurious, vintage and welcoming at the same time. What made the experience even more special was the service. A special thank you to Ginevra at the front office and to Ksenia. They were both incredibly kind, professional, and always smiling, but above all genuinely warm. You could truly feel that their kindness was sincere and natural, which made such a difference throughout the stay. Ginevra especially stood out for her welcoming energy and attentiveness. Overall, this hotel left a very positive impression on me, and I would absolutely come back again. Highly recommended! -LB

10/10 incredible hotel!! Not only is it extremely beautiful and romantic inside, the staff and entire experience for us was a dream come true. From the second we walked in till checkout we were treated with incredible professionalism and kindness. Absolutely the best hotel experience I’ve had my entire life. Cried when I left. Please, if you are going to Rome, STAY HERE!!! 🙌🙏

We had a three night stay at this lovely hotel and it didn’t disappoint. Wonderful staff, meticulous attention to detail and always happy to help. We were upgraded to a balcony suite which a very much appreciated. We will be back soon.
