Reviews for Hotel de Paris Saint-Tropez

Wonderful quality hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Absolutely lovely hotel perfectly positioned, rooms are very well equipped . Bathroom reflects the rest of the accommodation. We loved the roof top pool , but I could imaging it getting very busy in high season . Staff absolutely amazing.Breakfast superb. My one criticism is the rooms at the front can be a little noisy, so if you are a light sleeper book an internal room . One more issue, our room looked straight into the beautiful Chanel store, so couldn't prize my wife away from the window as she waited for the delivery truck.! Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

A true 5*property

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

From the moment you are welcomed, you are always welcomed. The staff is personable and very responsible. The concierge staff is excellent five star quality. The people who clean our room are as kind as can be. The upstairs lounge/pool area is beautiful with a view for sunset. The restaurant is very good and accommodating. The breakfast is great-the pastry chef should be award worthy!!!!The bedding is better than home!

A failed experience with a dispute with management

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I spent a night bombarded by noise (80 dB) from the rooftop party. Nothing was done to mitigate the problem until 12 midnight. I received a room credit from the aggrieved manager and informed them I would cancel the next two nights. I was still billed for the two nights and multiple requests from reception Ms Etienne Autin have been refused to credit or refund. This is NOT a luxury hotel placing guests first. Many other choices in St. Tropez.

🏨 Hotel de Paris Saint-Tropez – A Mediterranean Hideaway of Quiet Glamour (Not to Be Confused With Monte-Carlo)

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 months ago

🏨 Hotel de Paris Saint-Tropez – A Mediterranean Hideaway of Quiet Glamour (Not to Be Confused With Monte-Carlo) There are hotels that try to imitate Saint-Tropez, and there are hotels that understand Saint-Tropez. The Hotel de Paris belongs to the second category. Steps from the old port, on a quieter street where yachts and pastel façades meet, it offers a type of luxury that doesn’t depend on champagne parades or loud beach parties. It feels like a private address — and if you choose the right room, you’ll understand why Saint-Tropez became an artists’ village long before it was a playground. 🛏 Where We Stayed: A Terrace Suite With Tropezian Light Do not underestimate the difference between a regular room and a suite with a terrace. In a town where outdoor space is almost sacred, the terrace transforms your stay: Morning light over terracotta rooftops Soft Mediterranean air coming in through sliding windows Space for breakfast outside without leaving your room A completely different feeling of privacy Inside, the suite follows the hotel’s philosophy: modern Riviera, not kitsch Côte d’Azur nostalgia. Neutral tones and natural textures Spacious closets (rare for Saint-Tropez) Excellent sound insulation (worth every euro in peak season) A bathroom that’s bright and practical, with high-pressure showers (important after beach days) 🌤 Rooftop Pool: Better at Dawn and Dusk Everyone hears about the rooftop pool. The truth is: Don’t go between 12:00–16:00 in high summer. It’s crowded and loses charm. Go at 08:00–10:30 or after 18:30 — the colors, music, and silence make it feel like a private yacht. Lounges are limited; reserve ahead if you’re picky. Drinks are priced like Saint-Tropez (no surprise), but the icy rosé and fresh peach cocktail are worth ordering at least once. 🍽 Dining: Breakfast Wins — Dinner Belongs Outside Hotel breakfasts in Saint-Tropez are often disappointing, but here it’s a perfect local display: Fresh figs, nectarines, and peaches depending on season Provençal honeys and pistachio spreads Light pastries without the heavy butter of Parisian hotels A balanced à-la-carte menu for eggs and healthier choices Dinner at the hotel is good but Saint-Tropez is full of exceptional restaurants within five minutes walking distance. Better to explore: Le Girelier (local seafood, harbor view) L’Opéra (dinner + show, for social travelers) La Petite Plage (feet-in-the-sand chic, book early) 🏖 Beach Access: Don’t Expect a Private Beach Unlike resort hotels, there is no private beach, but the hotel organizes transfers and reservations to the best ones: Bagatelle (party, late lunch energy) Loulou à Ramatuelle (chiller, stylish, elegant crowd) Club 55 (legendary, rustic, don’t go hungry — order the crudités) 🛎 Service: Warm, Casual, Discreet Saint-Tropez luxury can be theatrical. Here, it’s friendly and down-to-earth: Staff remembers faces, not room numbers Concierge works quietly and gets the impossible reservations Housekeeping adjusts times around guests who sleep late (smart detail) Minor feedback: check-in can be slow in peak season — not due to incompetence, but the town’s rhythm. If you rush, you’re in the wrong village. 🚗 Parking, Transport & Who Should Stay Valet parking is recommended — don’t try to park yourself in the old village. Narrow one-way streets make arrival by taxi or hotel transfer more relaxing. Perfect for couples, solo travelers, and small groups who value location more than beachfront access. 🔐 Security & Safety Monitored entrance close to the port — ideal for discreet guests during high-season crowds. Key-controlled floor access. Surrounding streets are safe at night due to constant activity and cameras. Great for travelers who want Saint-Tropez energy with hotel-level privacy. 🌟 Final Thoughts The Hotel de Paris Saint-Tropez is not about being the loudest, most extravagant address. It’s about being exactly where Saint-Tropez is alive, without sacrificing silence, quality sleep, or elegance. If you want a base where you can step into the village and step back into peace, this is the key.

Extremely disappointed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 months ago

I went for breakfast with 4 friends, it was terrible, every order was wrong and took a very long time. Real amaturistic and after complaining i got the comment that this was end of season. This for a 5 star hotel is ridiculous. I will never again go there again, by the way 45 euro pp.
