I returned to Shangri- La Tokyo to celebrate my birthday by myself . I wanted a bit of peace & alone time . The management team & all the staffs at reception / concierge/ spa and especially at Breakfast provided amazing services throughout my stay ( a Burmese lady at breakfast was amazing - can’t spell her name sorry ) . Also the reception at the horizon club who tried her best to help me get the volleyball VNL 2025 tickets . Thank you . After what happened last time where I had a terrible experience on the last day of my stay, the management team wrote me an apology and told me they would give me a room upgrade for my next booking . A promised which they’d kept since I was given a ginormous Premier Suite ( I’d booked a deluxe room with palace garden view ) . The suite features a living / dining room . Nespresso machine with enough capsules to last you for a few months . Guest toilet as well as a huge bathroom with another toilet . Walk in closet ( a bit dark ) . The suite is on the horizon club floor but I didn’t go the club lounge for breakfast . I prefer the breakfast at Piacere restaurant . More lively . I gave me this enormous plate of fruits as a birthday treat as well as dorayaki and chocolates ( + many more Japanese treats ) . The had 2 spa treatments at Chi . A stress relief massage and an Authentic Tokyo experience which involves a bath , a body scrub and a full body massage . Both were amazing . There is nothing negative about this stay . It was perfect and I will return ( as last year ) at the end of the year but if I can get the volleyball VNL 2025 tickets I might come back as early as July . Thank you again to everyone at Shangri- La Tokyo . A special place . The has 2 spas

After arriving from SFO, we checked in to the Shangri La Tokyo at 5 pm. We had 2 rooms booked under separate reservations for a family of 5. I communicated with the hotel prior to arrival asking for 2 rooms as close together as possible and a rollaway. I also requested quiet rooms on a high floor. All of our requests were accommodated and we had a seamless check in. The rooms were so quiet and comfortable. The room temperature was perfect - we like to sleep cold. The bathtub and shower water pressure were heavenly after full days of sight seeing. We requested taxi service multiple times and all ordered with no problems and prompt attention. We also used the concierge twice and they were very patient with me. Beware - they do like to recommend very upscale $$$$ restaurants. We went to a Teppanyaki restaurant and the lowest price was $100 per person! For the next restaurant, we requested something much more casual. It took some time and research by the concierge but they listened to my request and selected the perfect Shabu Shabu restaurant ($$) for us. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Piacere and relaxed with some bubbly in the lounge while kids relaxed in the rooms in between activities. It was a great stay! Highly recommend!

My son and I had an amazing stay with Shangri La Tokyo for 3 nights. Seamless collection from the airport and straight to the hotel. Very swift and efficient service from the check in team and straight to the rooms. I had contact via Horizon Club prior to arrival dealing with Aisha who was fantastic from start to finish and we cannot thank the whole team with Horizon for their assistance in booking train tickets (and providing them) for our onward journey to Nagoya. Lovely lobby lounge headed up by Andrew (fellow English man!) who was always busy but found the time inbetween to chat. Would like to thank the young lady (Swiss) from the hotel who took us through Tokyo Station right to the platform for our onward journey. Shangri La Tokyo - You certainly lived up to your brand and did it proud. Thank You so much.

All met my expectations especially room space and floor plan, on a three nights business travel in Tokyo, no doubt the most conveniently located hotel nearby the landmark Tokyo Station came in as the first choice. Nevertheless the imperial garden room view was not that impressive but unobtrusively overlooking the rail tracks of the stations as many newly erected skyscrapers been partially blocking the view to the imperial palace. I am sure there is keen competition among the best Hotels nearby and looking forward to the Hotel can provide more complimentary or value for money amenities and services.

This trip was actually in December 2023, but I neglected to leave a review here and wanted to quickly recount that the hospitality and amenities we enjoyed at the Shangri-La were absolutely outstanding. I confess I no longer recall the name of the woman who greeted us daily in the Horizon Club and made sure that our every need was met, but she was a wonderful and sophisticated host who truly understands how to exceed expectations. The Shangri-La's location is not the most picturesque as it is a very busy and commercial business district (although the proximity to Tokyo Station and the Ginza was very convenient) but even so, I'd probably stay there again simply because the hotel was so fabulous.
