Every metropolis has one - that one neighborhood that seems to pulsate with an extra vibrant intensity. New York has SoHo. Paris has the Left Bank. London has Kensington. And Vancouver has Yaletown. Guest rooms are high design, high fashion and sure to impress. Bold colors offer a stay you will never forget. Featuring deluxe spa-bathrooms, executive business desks, modern furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows, you will want to book your next stay at check-out. Perfectly situated a short drive from from the cruise ship terminal, adjacent to the sea-wall, Stanley Park, Granville Island and surrounded by the city's best restaurants and shops, OPUS is more than somewhere to stay, it is somewhere to be. While you are here, enjoy our brand new New York style pizzeria, Capo. Casual, fun, energetic dinning that will have you dreaming of the best wood-oven pizza in the morning. The Spritz, our cozy new 22-seat cocktail bar, will be the perfect start or end of your day.

The location of Opus is terrific - right in the middle of Yorktown and steps from the train. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I took advantage of the e-bike loaner which was a great way to explore. Highly recommend!

Great location, clean, comfortable room, and super welcoming and attentive staff. Two separate stays in the last couple of weeks, this is now my Vancouver go to.

We had a great one night stay. Check in was a great experience. Room was ready early, staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was pristine, bed was very comfortable. We were attending a concert at Roger's Arena and the location was perfect. We took advantage of their e-bikes which were super fun. Took them around the seawall for a couple of hours. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful boutique hotel Gorgeous spaces but super small rooms with very little space for luggage and moving around. Bathrooms are cool overlooking the street but sad you have to close the shades to use the bathroom. We loved the coffee maker in the room, but had no idea they charged $25 Canadian for the water in the beverage fridge! Wish they would list prices if they charge for the water. Since creamer was in the fridge we didn’t think they charged and they ask us to scan code to fill your minibar, we didn’t scan code and didn’t know what was expensive. Lesson learned, called the concierge to find out if the coffee creamer and waters are a charge. Disappointed in that aspect.

It is so rare to find an independent hotel anymore, or a true boutique property. Opus is both and a great place to stay in Vancouver. Because it is not part of a huge conglomerate, the staff is extremely personable and you get a real boutique vibe - with intimate spaces, quirky design, and staff that remembers your name. Here are my notes:
• trendy, upscale Yaletown neighborhood - walkable to the best restaurants, music venues, and sports arenas.
• public transportation (including subway to airport) at doorstep
• very good value
• Signature Amenities include transfer to cruise port
• modern aesthetic, but rooms need just a tiny bit of an update
• breakfast menu is a bit sparse but tasty with excellent service

My husband and I selected a weekend in Vancouver at the Opus Hotel. With the hotel's Mercedes available to take us about the city, it was a total delight. The suite was well appointed, quiet and relaxing. The hotel restaurant provided delightful French bistro food, the bar in the lobby was eclectic and the staff was always available to assist and be helpful. We plan to return to Vancouver next summer and stay at the Opus again.
