Absolutely gorgeous hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Beautiful. Perfect hotel. Spotless. Comfortable rooms. Ours overlooked the water. The hotel has water taxis to 2 areas. They do get crowded and there’s a 40 minute wait if you miss the boat!!! The morning buffet was so perfect! They serve everything you can imagine. Lovely staff as well. The upstairs bar and pool were also perfect. Great staff. This is a perfect hotel!

Good, but doesn’t quite hit the 5 star mark

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We stayed here as a family Easter weekend. Overall, we had a lovely stay and on balance, I would recommend the hotel. However, there were a few things that missed the 5 star mark. Rooms were beautiful with super comfy beds. We went for a sea view room and it was well worth it. Breakfast was good, but the queues at peak times were very long, so you need to go early. Staff were all very nice and friendly - overall service was good. However, it fell short on a couple of things for me. The service at the cocktail bar on the roof was very slow and didn’t match the very high prices that they were charging. The music was also strange. There was extremely loud dance music playing one evening when we came back from dinner outside. This really didn’t match the clientele or the elegant setting and it really wasn’t helping to create a nice ambiance, so we left after one drink. Earlier in the evening the following day there was more relaxed music playing, which was far more appropriate, so we did enjoy it the second day.. the views of Venice are great, especially as the sun goes down.. The second point was related to the ferry shuttle service. The hotel is on Giudica island, which I quite liked as a way to escape the crowds. The hotel has a shuttle boat, but there are 2 things that could be improved. First is the charging system.. whether you are there for a day or a week or more, it’s €15 pp. Why not just build it into your he room cost and make it complimentary? The second thing is that the frequency of the service is not enough at peak times. We were there on time for the 5pm service after a hectic day in Venice, but were left stranded because the boat was full and had to wait 40 mins for the next one. Not great after a long tiring day, with no other option to get back. In the end, they waived the charge for us because of our issues with not being able to get onto the boat, which we appreciated. However, some improvements in how the system works would really help to make the overall experience at the hotel better. Lastly, they left water in the room on arrival, but it’s not replenished, meaning that you have to pay extortionate mini bar fees. Complimentary water is pretty standard in most hotels these days, so this was a bit of a miss for me. These niggles aside, the hotel is a great option for both families and couples and is good value for money.

Nice hotel overall

Best executive happy hour and best breakfast of any Hilton we’ve been to so far. Good hotel overall. Very friendly staff. Negatives- you do need a shuttle if you go anywhere - but they provide- and we arrived to our room with tray of old room service at door in hallway. Stayed 2 nights, asked twice to have of food removed- were told it would be- each time it was not. Left after 3 days and 2 nights to old food from previous person still sitting there!

Family stay

Beautiful rooms, quieter neighborhood. Hotel offers convenient shuttle services for a fee. Complementary breakfast was satisfactory. Rooftop view must see. Many dining options a short taxi or walk away. Very enjoyable stay

Utter joke

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Utter joke of a hotel. If you're planning to stay in Venice and want a quality hotel with stunning views, do yourself a favour and avoid the Hilton. We paid premium prices expecting a luxury experience and were given a room with virtually no view whatsoever. You may as well stay in a room with no windows. To make matters worse, when I raised my concerns with Federico, the manager, he couldn't have cared less. There was no effort to resolve the issue, no apology, nothing. Customer service was completely non-existent. The worst part came after I got out of the shower. I was standing in the room half-naked when I noticed a man literally two feet from the window, looking directly into the room. Imagine if my wife or another female guest had been in that situation. It's a serious privacy and safety concern. Once again, the hotel showed little interest in addressing it. This hotel is massively overpriced, poorly managed, and does not deliver the experience it advertises. Calling it a luxury hotel is laughable. I've stayed in hostels that offered better service, better value, and a more enjoyable stay. Avoid at all costs. There are far better places to stay in Venice.
