On one side the placid waters of the lagoon, and on the other the mysterious alleyways of Venice, leading to two of the city’s most stunning modern museums, the Peggy Guggenheim and the new Punta della Dogana. A period palace with an elaborate Gothic façade, but when you step inside you find yourself projected into a future in which each item of the decor has been designed exclusively for your pleasure.

Clearly a beautiful hotel in an excellent part of Venice but this hotel staff was so wonderful for our stay here! From our check I to the moment we left the entire crew here went out of their way to make a special birthday experience here and all I can say is- bravissimo!!!

Excellent hotel, well worth the extra to stay. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were fresh and very clean. Great location, slightly away from the main crowds but close enough to walk to venues. With the hotel having its own jetty made water transport easy, with the hotel booking all your taxis.

Pros: - easily accessible by water taxi from the airport - quite a dramatic view upon arrival - common areas are quite nice and smell great - large selection of foods for breakfast buffet - staff always friendly and accommodating - no carpet on the room floor (makes for a much cleaner room) - comfortable bed and linens - good location easily walkable to the water boat transportation or to the Accademia bridge Cons: - we were here using a free night certificate as part of my Diamond membership - so I feel we were given the worst room in the house. The room was in the back of the hotel facing a small street and really needed a refresh. It certainly was not worth the €600+ that the room was going for. - no separate shower - needed to step into a deep tub (which I always find dangerous) - during the shower despite the removal of the drain plug, the water backed up and you would find yourself in about 4 inches/10cm of dirty, soapy water - the sink faucet chrome cladding was coming off and exposed to rust - the painting of the room - the colors were not complimentary and the painter did a very poor quality job. - the way the desk is hidden behind the bed, you cannot be at the desk and also watch TV

It was pleasure to spent a weekend in this beautiful hotel. The location was really nice and so was the personal of the hotel. They attended me for the whole trip and helped me discover this amazing city giving me the best advices. It was the first time visiting Venice for me and my husband and I enjoyed every moment of it. All of the restaurants considered by the concierges Emanuele, Stefano and Silvia were very high quality, included the Regina Corner, Do Forni and Cantinone Storico. The staff of the hotel was very helpful, I considered this hotel to all my friend, hopefully I'll come back again as soon as I can. Best Regards.

Excellent location. Superb restaurant. Very friendly, personalised service. Luca (maitre d’), Enrico and Francesco as well as Alessandro on reception. Marvellous views over Grand Canal. First room servicing. Can’t fault this hotel.
