Memorable family stay
I expected the stay at Ashford Castle to be luxurious, but I was most impressed by how they treated my 7 year old as an honored guest. There were so many special touches for their junior guests that my son never wanted to leave! We will be back for sure. The afternoon tea and the Hawk Walk with their Falconry School were highlights.

Luxurious and beautiful castle hotel
This is one of the most amazing places I've ever stayed in (and my favourite Irish castle). Beautifully restored 12th century 5-star castle hotel has everything you'd ever wish for (for a plush stay or a romantic getaway). The facilities are top notch, food is superb and staff are very welcoming. We were staying for our anniversary and our half-eaten celebration cake was misplaced between the restaurants - the chef made a brand new one, talk about going the extra mile! Loved the swimming pool and the cinema. High tea is always a fab event! Hope the Dungeon bar is up and running soon, always loved going there for lunch. Marvellous place. Will keep coming back always!

Authentically Top Notch
The whole experience, from start to finish, was one of authentic welcome, care and hospitality of the highest order. This was matched by the exquisite location, surroundings and the castle itself. The range of dining facilities and the quality of service, friendliness and food enhanced it further. On the whole an experience to treasure.

Beautiful, comfortable, kind staff and fun-unique activities!
The highlight of our Ireland vacation was staying at Ashford Castle. Our room was beautiful and looked out over the lake, garden and water fountain. We dined in the George V Dining Room for dinner and breakfast under the sparkling chandeliers. We also enjoyed the gift shop on the grounds with beautiful clothes, gorgeous fancy chocolates and elegant home goods. Besides just being at a fabulous castle in luxurious surroundings, there are many fun activities to do! We loved walking with the wolfhounds and taking the hawk walk at the School of Falconry. We scheduled both activities back to back and it was arranged for us to be driven to the School and picked up when we were finished. The next time we visit, I will be sure to horseback ride. Everyone we encountered, the guardsman at the gatehouse, the concierge, all hotel and restaurant staff were kind, courteous and took excellent care of us. Truly an absolute wonder!

Heavenly
I have spent my entire adult life traveling for work. Never, ever have I slept in a bed as comfortable as I did at Ashford Castle. Special mention to the pillows - I need those pillows for my own home! The room itself was icing on the cake for the 5-star service, beautiful grounds and elegant interior. We enjoyed cocktails at the lounge and dined at George V - impeccable service and delectable food options. There are unique opportunities to enjoy the grounds and experiences such as Falconry, horses, walking with the Wolfhounds, golf, tennis and so much more - which is why I will be back for an extended stay as soon as possible.

This is one of the finest properties we have ever visited. It is a beautiful castle, but it is also a world class hotel in the most beautiful setting you can imagine. The grounds are large and bikes are available for guests, the fishing on the river and the lake are first rate, and the service is unmatched. We have stayed twice and can't wait to go back again.
