Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge

I stayed at Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge from July 29 to July 31, 2026, and I can truly say that this was one of the most beautiful and special lodges I have ever experienced. I have travelled quite a lot and stayed in many different lodges, but this place has something truly unique. The location is breathtaking. From my lodge I had this wonderful view over the lush green landscape and forest surrounding Ngorongoro. I could look far into the distance, enjoy the changing light of sunrise and sunset, hear the sounds of nature and the animals, and simply sit there in complete peace. What touched me most was the feeling of being completely surrounded by nature and somehow becoming part of it. I felt incredibly safe, peaceful and deeply connected to the natural environment. It is difficult to put this feeling into words. My accommodation was absolutely beautiful. Everything was exceptionally clean, perfectly organized and furnished with so much taste and attention to detail. The large bed, the beautiful natural wood, the two fireplaces and the spacious rooms created such a warm and special atmosphere. Outside, there was a balcony with a table as well as a comfortable seating area where I could simply sit, relax, listen to the silence and enjoy the magnificent surroundings. I could have stayed there for hours. The welcome was also something I will never forget. When I arrived, the Maasai welcomed us with singing, and it moved me deeply – actually to tears. It was such a beautiful and emotional beginning to my stay. The entire team was exceptional. Everyone was incredibly friendly, warm and attentive, but at the same time very respectful and never intrusive. They seemed to notice immediately whenever a guest needed something. There was such sensitivity in the way they cared for people. At the same time, the staff were joyful, full of positive energy and made the whole atmosphere feel very special. The food was excellent as well. I especially enjoyed that there were also Indian dishes available. I am not someone who eats huge amounts, and the staff were always so caring, asking whether I would perhaps like something else or whether there was anything they could prepare for me. I felt genuinely looked after. I also had a massage during my stay, and it was one of the best massages I have ever had. The therapist combined the massage with pressure-point techniques on my feet and back, and I was able to relax so deeply that I could still feel the positive effect the following day. Perhaps the peaceful surroundings made the whole experience even more magical, but it was truly wonderful. A very special thank you goes to Lodge Manager Cycil Christopher. He was always attentive and kindly asked whether everything was all right, whether I needed anything and whether there was anything he could do for me. I felt that he genuinely cared about his guests and their wellbeing. Unfortunately, after two nights I had to continue my journey, and I would have loved to stay much longer. After a very stressful period in my professional life, these days were one of the greatest gifts I could have received. I felt safe, cared for, peaceful and completely at home. Thank you to Cycil Christopher and the entire Neptune Ngorongoro team from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, your wonderful hospitality and for giving me such an unforgettable experience. We had such an amazing stay at this luxury lodge. The rooms, the facilities, the staff, the food, the drinks and the views were all top notch. There are only 20 rooms so it feels very quaint and personal. The turn down service is 10/10. We even decided to come back early from a game drive one day to enjoy lunch and the hotel itself. Amazing hospitality!

The location and environment is wonderful. The room is fantastic. The service was great and we were served by Norbert and he was excellent. All the other staff we interacted with were warm and welcoming
