OUTRIGGER Maldives Maafushivaru Resort

An exceptional resort that will stay with us for a long time. The Island is beautiful and extremely well maintained by ground staff. The house reef is full of an abundance of marine life, as are the areas underneath the villa. We snorkelled day and into the early hours of the evening. The overwater pool villas are beautifully finished with a large floor plan. The deck area is the perfect balance of sun and shade. As most reviews have highlighted, it's the attentive staff that take this resort to the next level. Warm smiles, genuine service and no stone left unturned. Thank you to Jinah our butler, a true gentleman and extremely prompt with our requests. I must also mention Joy, Sashi, Muflih, Imadah and Chef Charminda and his team. Your service was impeccable. The food, especially the Maldivian curries were delicious, fresh and authentic. The food at this resort is varied daily and of very high quality. We ate at the Japanese restaurant which was delicious too. In all honesty, we were just as happy at the nightly dinner buffet, the food constantly changing and brilliant service. Also, a shout out to Chloe the Marine Biologist whose presentation on Manta Rays and Reef sharks was especially informative. Chloe also had time to chat when we seen her around the resort. Lastly, Zayan and Sabe who took us on our turtle and snorkelling excursion, great fun and very educational. I researched many resorts prior to booking, lm so very pleased we chose Outrigger for our stay. Dont hesitate, book this resort. We stayed here in 2016, it was a very good island, we decided to return this year. It has had a lot of changes that really add to this resort. The restaurants and the food on offer are first class and cater for all world tastes. The island is really clean and well run, with cleaned sandy beaches, great diving and boat trips.

It was my first time going to the Maldives. Of the many hotels available, we chose Outrigger because the house reef was beautiful, it had a bathtub, and it had a pool. We stayed for 6 days. It was all-inclusive and all of our restaurant times were planned for the day we arrived. The sea was beautiful every day, and the staff were very kind and always smiling. The food at all the restaurants was delicious and we were full to the brim. I joined a tour to see manta rays and whale sharks. I saw four manta rays. Unfortunately, I didn't see any whale sharks, but I was able to snorkel. We had a lot of fun every day. Thank you!

3nd visit. Fabulous island and staff. Couldn't have gone to anywhere better. Lots to do. Fabulous food. Beautiful scenery. Perfect.

We just got home after a week's stay at Outrigger,it was truly paradise,from the moment we landed with the seaplane,it was an incredible experience.The food,the bar,the spa,the staff were all fantastic,a place to come and totally relax,it was hard to believe we were there at times.Every member of staff were so friendly,helpful and welcoming,too many to name but here's a few,Nabeel our amazing butler,Aminal in Koffee and Chill,Channel,Victoria,every single one we met.The chefs,bar staff,brilliant.The beaches,quiet,the turquoise sea,inviting,the wildlife,amazing.Fruit bats in the trees at dusk,baby black tip sharks,dolphins,turtles,rays and all the species of beautiful fish.We went as a party of 5 adults who all had life changing experiences especially our daughter Kerry who was proposed to on the beach at sunset by her partner Chris,beautiful moment.The rooms and facilities were first class.I have nothing to say but good things about this amazing place.
