Our stay at Outrigger Maldives was incredible. The place is superb, the food is extremely delicious, the views are breathtaking, and the people who work there are so kind and sweet. They all took care of our comfort constantly. I would especially like to express my gratitude to Saeed. He is the man who cleaned our room twice a day and made sure everything was in order. He is an extremely kind person. He is always smiling and friendly. He organized an incredible surprise for my friend's birthday. I simply don't have the words to describe what an incredible person he is. Another wonderful person is Shinaz. He is the man who served us every day on the beach. He always took care of us. He is a very pleasant, responsive, and positive person. He always asks if we need anything and always responds. He always has a smile on his face. A huge thank you to them and the whole team. Thank you to Zi and Dimitri for constantly guiding us and helping us with all the necessary information around the clock!

We recently enjoyed the most amazing stay at Maafushivaru Outrigger Resort. So many previous guests have written such glowing reviews it’s hard to think of anything new to add. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt like members of the ‘Outrigger Family’. Sure, there are individuals who we came into daily contact with, and they were exceptional (they know who they are - hope you liked the letters x), however we’d also like to mention all the staff operating in the background who were just as important in making our stay truly magical. The kitchen team, the maintenance guys and special mention to Shifau (our housekeeper), largely go unnoticed as they work tirelessly to keep the island looking it’s best and ensuring guests have their best holiday ever. John, Guillaume and Chaminda; you guys are not only lucky to head up your departments in such a beautiful location, but are blessed to be supported by such a wonderful team. We can’t wait to come back and see you all again. Maafushivaru Outrigger Resort is like your favourite cake and the team are the cherry on top!

This was a dream holiday to celebrate my 80th birthday., and a dream holiday it certainly was! I have never felt so cherished. We were greeted by the wonderful Moosa Rameez, who showed us around and sorted out our dining choices. He was so very helpful and overcame any difficulties, and he was responsible for organising my surprise birthday celebrations .Magical! a special lit up gazebo was set up by the water's edge, just for me. I also want to thank Shinaz the poolside man, he was special! and the crew in the Coffee n'Chill who kept us topped up. Overall a wonderful, wonderful holiday.

Our stay at Outrigger Maldives was absolute paradise from start to finish – with a serious warning: bring clothes one size up for the journey home, because the food is exceptional and there is a lot of it! Every meal was a joy, and we genuinely looked forward to every bite. From the moment we arrived in the Maldives, the hotel staff took complete care of us. They handled our left luggage, checked us in, and on our return journey even escorted us right through to security. That level of seamless service set the tone for the entire stay – relaxed, polished, and completely stress-free. A huge thank you to our butler, Jinah, who was absolutely 10/10. He took care of everything with calm efficiency all our restaurant bookings, our sunset cruise, and any requests we had. Everything was organised perfectly and with a genuine smile. We especially loved Koto – both for a delicious à la carte dinner and for the Teppanyaki experience, which was fun, interactive, and full of flavour. The buffet at both breakfast and dinner was gargantuan, varied, and consistently high quality! You are truly spoiled for choice. We also enjoyed some snorkelling just off the beach and the sunset cruise, which was a magical way to experience the beauty of the Maldives. Our overwater villa (Room 220) was everything we dreamed of spacious, private, and beautifully designed, complete with a hot tub and uninterrupted views over the turquoise water. It really doesn’t get better than that. There is a lovely gentleman working by the pool named Shinaz . This man is so diligent and hardworking. He was constantly on the move, making sure everyone had what they needed and always took our drink orders with a smile. Towards the end of our stay, he already knew what we wanted and would simply bring them over – just brilliant. All the staff here work incredibly hard, and what really stood out is how they all know your name and genuinely want you to have a lovely time. A special mention to Joy, who was always smiling and full of warmth – she recommended several drinks for us to try and made every interaction such a pleasure. We also have to mention the wonderful gentleman at Koffee and Chill, Aminal – be careful, this man will fatten you up if you’re not careful! He kept our table stocked with an endless supply of desserts and ice creams – my husband was very happy indeed! The spa is small but perfectly formed – we had a lovely deep tissue massage. I also really enjoyed the sound healing class, which was a wonderful opportunity to just let go and relax. We would wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the Maldives – it truly exceeded all expectations. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon so special.

One of the best places that we have stayed - simply brilliant - we stayed in a beach in with pool which integrated privacy and easy access to the beach an sea where we could snorkel - Villa 106 - it was the best. Spacious and well presented and the level of service and friendliness was second to none. A very luxurious and exclusive feel to the island. Naiff looked after us professionally with a personal touch - such dedication to ensuring guests have a good time.
