Nice resort to reset yourself

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

You’re looking for a getaway from social interactions and a peaceful retreat with healthy foods and activities. I highly recommend this all-inclusive hotel. It doesn’t include alcohol, spa services, and some additional activities. The resort is quite far from the town, but they provide shuttle buses back and forth to the airport. I suggest you reserve your desired activities in advance, as they can fill up quickly. The spa here is particularly highly recommended.

Somebody asked me if I had gone to rehab!! I thought that was so funny but when I was telling him everything I did, you might think that was the case. Everything is so personal and helps you grow and feel great about yourself and appreciative and I could go on and on really really really love it so much so that my sister and I are going next month.

Miravel is a hidden jewel!

Miravel is Hyatt's best kept secret! The moment I step onto the property, I feel a wave of peace rolling over me. The staff and instructors are top notch, friendly and make exercise fun. The food is superb! All around 5 stars!

Great escape!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

I just finished a wonderful four day retreat at Miraval Austin. I am 57 years old, and traveled with a friend from Michigan. Resort grounds 5/5 - beautifully landscaped with many peaceful spots to relax and reflect. I walked the smaller labyrinth one morning at sunrise and it was an amazing way to start the day. Spa 5/5 - my massage and facial were wonderful and I especially enjoyed the unique Thai massage. The sauna and facilities were very nice, and we thoroughly enjoyed the heated spa pool. It was never crowded and we could always find shaded seats. The discovery pool was also very nice and a bit more social - but the bar was closed one day which was disappointing. Food 5/5 - breakfast and lunch had a delicious buffet option which was really nice for a quick bite. You could order off the menu too. Dinner entrees were terrific and outdoor views at sunset were stunning. You can buy a bottle of wine and they will cork it overnight for you. I especially enjoyed The Nest cafe for quick smoothies, coffee and light bites and pastries. The take away area with sandwiches and salads was very convenient, as was the iced tea/coffee bar. I wish it opened at 6:30, but 7:00 worked fine. Classes 5/5 - there was a wide variety of classes and the instructors were excellent. I enjoyed stretch, yoga essentials, chakra meditation, cardio drumming, hatchet throwing, chicken keeping, and cocktail making. All last 45 minutes which is great to do a few classes in a row. I definitely learned some new things! Rooms 4/5 - very clean, but a little small. I would prefer a hard surface floor over the older carpet. Shower was hot and bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the pour over coffee in the morning, and there was great storage. Service 4/5 - the staff was very nice, but availability was a little hit or miss. The dining area seemed a bit short staffed, and a few times we had to wait. Not a big deal. Cell phones 3/5 - I have mixed feelings about the no cell phone use. I like the idea, and the phone sleeping bag was a cute idea. I tried to minimize use, but had to check it every few hours for family issues. There was a designated area at Live Oak which was convenient. I would suggest placing more prominent clocks throughout the property. Everything is scheduled, and often I found myself lost on time. Overall, I had a fantastic time and will absolutely return. It was a very special experience.

The Reset I Needed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Miraval Austin provided a much needed reset. It was wonderful to step away for a few days and disconnect. I enjoyed the classes, most especially Quoya, Wine & Your Sign and Equine Therapy. I booked 95% of my experiences online. As such, I wish the booking tool displayed the actual price of activities and the spa. I was able to guesstimate but there’s one spa service I wouldn’t have gotten had I known the price in advance. Overall, I def relaxed. However, for the price point I need to find other ways to relax. Hahah.
