Unmatched Experience at Big Sur
Outstanding, magnificently beautiful and unique resort. As magical as on our first visit many years ago. You enter an entirely spectacular world combining natural setting and architecture like nowhere else. The integration of the natural and the human-made is seamless, and brilliant. The lodgings are unlike any other resort we are aware of anywhere. The service is beyond reproach. The price has gone from high to stratospheric in the past 10 years or so but if anyplace of this sort is worth this very high cost, the Post Ranch Inn is the place. The only weakness, and it is only so in a relative sense, is that Sierra Mar we didn't think is offering quite the quality and variety of food as it did in the past. You don't have many choices in Big Sur for dining, and you don't want to leave this property once there, frankly, so the dinner menu could use some expansion and additional finesse, as could the wine selection.

A Wonderful experience
We stayed here for two nights, for our honeymoon. A very special trip for us and we are so happy we did it. Everything was high quality, great service, and a truly special experience to enjoy part of the most beautiful coast line. The food was great, the best included breakfast I have ever experienced. This is a place to come and relax, and they make that easy to do.

Definitely recommend Post Ranch, Big Sur
We stopped for 1 night during our trip along the coast. Wow! The bedrooms are stunning and the views are amazing. Loved the layout of the room Short walk to a great restaurant and it was the best meal (lamb) of my whole holiday. Only small criticism is that the complimentary part of the breakfast should breakfast should include toast and juice. I paid a lot for 1 slice of toast and jam 🤷♀️

45th Wedding Anniversary
The location of Post Ranch Inn is UNSURPASSED, an atmosphere like NO OTHER, absolutely DREAMY. There is not a bad room! And we’ve stayed in a few. Our favorite is The Ocean House. It’s literally like being “On Top Of The World”suspended 1200 Ft OVER the Ocean.
