The experience was good. It was my first all inclusive experience. So, I don’t have anything to compare it to. I would say that it was as expected, though.

We recently stayed at Dreams Jade Resort & Spa and overall had a nice experience. The facilities were well-kept, everything felt clean, and the grounds were beautiful. We booked the Preferred Club and have mixed feelings on whether it was worth the extra cost. Check-in was separate, but unlike other resorts, there was no welcome tour, we simply made our way to the lounge and then to lunch on our own. Our room wasn’t ready until 3:00, but we had to find it ourselves once it was, but our bags arrived quickly once it was. There was no special service such as a butler, but we did enjoy the Preferred pool, which was quieter and relaxing. The location of our room was also ideal, much closer than some of the farther sections of the property. If you're expecting an over-the-top experience, I think you'll be disappointed you spent the extra money on the preferred club. This resort doesn’t use wristbands for key cards, which made it a little more challenging to keep track of room keys while at the pool. One thing to note: the room thermostat is locked and won’t go below 21°C, which may be warm for some. The spa was a highlight. Adali and Imelda gave my wife and me an excellent couples massage, and Ivette at the spa front desk went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Dining was another strong point, although some restaurants were closed on unusual days, so we couldn’t try them all. The hibachi at Spice was fantastic, our chef, Miguel, was easily the best hibachi cook I’ve ever had: entertaining, skilled, and engaging. Antonio at the French restaurant provided the most attentive service of our trip, and Ernesto at the poolside grill was quick and kind during lunch service. The tomato soup at the Italian restaurant is a must-try! Across the board, service in the restaurants was quick, and the food was very good. We were here for a wedding, and DJ Carlos was phenomenal, he kept the dance floor packed for 2.5 hours straight. I also enjoyed the resort’s bike ride to Puerto Morelos, safe, quick, and worth the trip. The biggest disappointment was the beach, though this was entirely due to the season’s sargassum. The water was brown, and the seaweed was heavy, making it impossible to swim. The staff worked hard to clean it, but it was simply too much. If clear turquoise water is a priority, I recommend checking the season before booking. Overall, Dreams Jade is a lovely property with great food, a wonderful spa, and some truly standout staff members. It didn’t quite reach the “wow” factor of other all-inclusive resorts we’ve stayed at, especially in terms of making guests feel special, but if the price is right, I would stay again.

Went to Dreams Jade as a detour from our previous plans. We were set to go Secrets Akumal for some kid-free alone time, but life happens and we either had to cancel our trip or take our kids with us. We were in desperate need of a vaca, so take the kids it is. We have an 8 and 9 year old. They are super fans of Dreams Natura for their fantastic Explorer Kids Club staff, and overall the activities and amenities for children 8 and up are far superior. Needless to say, our kids were not impressed with the Explorer Club at Jade. The staff was not that engaging and their activities were rather lacking. So to say the least we didn’t get too much alone time or R&R as our kids didn’t want to go the EC too much. If you’re going to Jade without kids, it’s a decent resort. The preferred club pool is adults only, and it’s on the other side of the resort. So super perfect if you want some R&R. We had a room in building 7 which is right next to the preferred pool. The room is a bit dated - sofa cushions and mattresses feel a bit worn. The A/C is the bedroom area could not keep up so you had to open the doors that separate the bedroom and the living room to allow for better air circulation. Please note there is not a door to separate the bedroom from the shower, so we had to make sure our kids were preoccupied in the living room so that my husband could take a shower. The shower is open as well. Restaurants - less restaurants than more recently opened Dreams resorts. Also, the menu options were shorter as well. The buffet also had less choices than other Dreams Resorts. I will say that the my kids enjoyed the Hibachi dinner. Miguel was a fantastic chef. Entertainment Staff - David and Fernanda were a hoot. We learned how to make guacamole as well as mojitos. Spa - I personally don’t think it’s worth it. My husband and I had an 80 min massage and were also rushed through the hydrotherapy service. Our kids tried the fish treatment, and they were enjoyed it.

Stayed here for a wedding—beautiful property and our ocean-view preferred room was gorgeous and private, with the pool just steps away. Check-in/check-out as preferred guests was a breeze. Service was great everywhere—special thanks to Jorge, Jimmy, and Leanna at Timeout Bar, plus Armando and Cesar at the preferred pool for making us feel like family. Downsides: Buffet variety was limited. Sargassum overwhelmed the beach at first and cleanup was slow, though it looked great by our last day. Didn’t enjoy the constant pressure to attend a sales seminar or the daily spa solicitations at the pool. Housekeeping missed towels/restocking on our last day, and it took almost an hour to get them late at night. Overall, a beautiful spot with excellent service—fix a few things and it’s five stars.
