The spa was absolutely amazing, Erika was so sweet and knowledgeable about the hydration process, she was also very accommodating to the us as I’m sure she is to other guests as well. There were two other ladies who performed me and my husband’s massage, they were also amazing, best massage I’ve ever had!!

From the moment I arrived at Dreams Riviera Cancun, German made me feel like royalty. His attention to detail, genuine warmth, and impeccable service turned a beautiful resort stay into a deeply personal experience. Whether it was helping me navigate the property, offering thoughtful recommendations, or simply checking in with a smile, German, Santiago & Jazmin in Housekeeping, the bartenders including Carlos & Wilbert in the Privileged areas went above and beyond every single day. They didn’t just meet expectations but elevated them. If you're lucky enough to be cared for by German or this staff you're in for something special. The kind of people who turns a vacation into a memory you’ll treasure forever. Thank you, German and eveeyone, for your kindness, professionalism, and heart. You are the soul of Dreams Riviera.

The Good The resort had some definite high points. The rooms were fantastic—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The pool service was also excellent, with staff being attentive and friendly. The Not-So-Good One of the biggest disappointments was the "Preferred" service we paid for. Instead of an elevated experience, we were forced into a high-pressure, three-hour timeshare presentation, far longer than the promised 90 minutes. Before the presentation, we were told it was a "vacation club" and not a timeshare, but to me, it was the same product with a different name. The reps tried to sell us packages, with one "yearly living" option offered for over $450,000, and a smaller one for $39,000 for five years. It's truly amazing how they assumed that having several reps trying to sell a product that's so unaffordable would be a good or even tolerable guest experience. It felt like a huge waste of our vacation time. The food was also hit-or-miss. My pesto spaghetti at the Italian restaurant had watered-down sauce, and the nachos at the buffet were inedible—the cheese was watery and the chips tasted stale. On a few occasions, a buffet hostess told us they were about to close as we sat down, which was frustrating after a long day. The drinks were just okay, and the "Preferred Club" room had a decent but uninspired selection of food and drinks. Finally, the beach was unusable due to a large amount of seaweed. The "Preferred" beach club service was also non-existent, so we had to get our own drinks. Ultimately, the pros and cons were about equal, making it a challenging experience to fully recommend.
