I was at Dreams Riviera Cancun this July and had a wonderful time. My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and enjoyed every minute of it. There was live music nightly. We danced in the lobby every night after the awesome shows and delicious dinners. We spent the days in the pool and beach areas. The entertainment team is non-stop hard at work making sure people of all ages are engaged in something fun. Big shout out to Gio, Christopher, Angie, Uzzy, Chris, Tony, Kevin and the whole team. We took the bike tour, tried archery, and we loved the nightly shows including the Capoeira, Pre-hispanic, Fire and the Mexican nights, they were all top notch and impressive with super talented artists! The food was delicious and with a ton of nutritious options at all hours. No reservations needed for the restaurant so we strolled in at our own pace, which felt very luxurious. Our favorite restaurant was Oceana, for shrimp tacos and World Cafe for the fresh fruits at breakfast and lunch. We stopped by the coffee shop for ice coffee, gelato and snacks many times. The Spa was amazing too! The rooms were spacious, with a jacuzzi, two sinks and big mirrors, we counted five. I hope to be back to Dreams Riviera Cancun with my family and friends so they can experience the warmth of the staff and the beauty of the resort. Highly recommended!

Overall, a good experience. Would give it 4.5 if I could. We never went to the ocean due to the sargassum, but I wouldn't knock the resort for that, as they worked hard to control it. Wish there was one more restaurant and one more pool. Loved the swim-up bar/pool. It is marketed as "adults only," but there were plenty of kids, which I am not complaining about, as it was the most refreshing pool with the best views and bar (Alex was excellent) for our family. Resort was nice and compact, and there were many activities. Only complaint was housekeeping (sorry). Our room only got cleaned once during our week-long stay, despite being out of the room most of the time and having no DND signs up. One day, we went on an excursion from 6 am to 6 pm without cleaning. Also, turndown service was at 930 pm, which is late. I am sure we could have requested an earlier time. Hotel was sometimes loud in the room, but just played some white noise. Food was good and service was good. Resort was clean and well-maintained.

Iactually never paid for a resort before, so this experience was new to me—and I’ve got to say, Hector Acosta made it exceptional. He really gave us the 411 and was incredibly helpful from the start. Would love to be on again. Appreciate the great service!

We had a wonderful 14 night stay at this hotel, the staff really make it. The activity club with angus, uzzie and tiny (can’t remember the rest of the names!) kept the kids happy and were fun and full of energy. The staff around the pool bringing drinks and the drinks trolleys were fab. One pool issue was that towards the end some guests were playing their own music which was really annoying, but that’s not the hotels fault, seemed like more American teens were arriving. The infinity pool, they changed to over 15 before we went, but didn’t enforce. I would say if this became adult only there wouldn’t be enough pool space for families at all so check before booking. Overall, the hotel was spotless, we absolutely loved the food- apart from the Mexican restaurant ironically- food was quite bland there. But the staff definitely made it, they were kind and helpful and made the stay feel special. The head waiters and the staff who greet you at the buffet (sorry, can’t remember names though they remembered ours amazingly) were really good at customer service, as were the concierges. The gardens around the hotel were also beautiful. The sea had a terrible seaweed problem however the beach bar was great. I wouldn’t hesitate to book, but I would avoid peak school / college holiday season.

Enjoyed everything from food to service. Ceasar, head of the entertainment was never too busy to chat and answer my family's many (daily) questions about the resort and Puerto Morelos. Customer service like this will definitely keep us coming back!
