We stayed here to celebrate my son & his best friends's graduation from high school. Both will be leaving for college soon. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this resort! It was clean and well appointed! The Palapa is an enjoyable outdoor restaurant right on the beach. La Trattoria serves delicious Italian food with a poolside view. The Royal Market had everything we needed to cook breakfast in the mornings and snacks & beers for sitting poolside. We visited the sister resort, The Royal Sands, using the free shuttle and had a great time there too! Lounge chairs under straw palapas right on the beach are readily available at both resorts. The location is just a 5 minute walk to the ferry building that will take you to Isla Mujeres. Ubers are easy to get and take you on your excursions or restaurants/stores outside the resort. They pick up on the sidewalk of the resort but will return you to the lobby area. I liked that the main bedroom with bath was upstairs for added privacy and there was a 2nd bedroom with twin beds downstairs & a Murphy bed in the living room. So everyone in our group slept comfortably in their own beds. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend it to anyone interested.

Location was ok, have to take taxi to shopping and nightlife but luckily not too expensive. Beach was well maintained, as was the entire resort. Rooms were nice but mattresses and pillows were extremely lacking! Very uncomfortable and made a good night’s rest impossible. All-inclusive cost is only worth it if you drink a bunch of alcohol and hit the buffets. La Trattoria was not good at all, La Palapa was hit or miss. If this resort had been closer to local Taquerias and other eateries, we most likely would not have done all-inclusive. Taking the shuttle to the sister resort definitely helped the availability of food and I would have spent more time there if I could have. Staff was amazing and definitely the highlight of the trip, other than the beach and pool bar (which could have stayed open longer for adults).

Food and Service was excellent. Buildings may be a little dated and beach is not the greatest but the food was top notch and bar service was excellent.
