The Royal Cancun All Suites Resort

View was amazing. Villa was very clean and had everything we needed. Was really impressed with the size of the safe. Staff was very friendly and kind. Room service was fast. The pizza was soooo good!! Only thing was the smell of the rotting seaweed which was not the fault of the resort. It was all over Cancun. We had the opportunity to use Thomas More Travel for excursions and really loved the tours. We also used them for transportation to and from the Cancun airport. Massages were absolutely amazing and would highly recommend. We did the couples massage at the end of our stay and next time plan to do it when we arrive and before we leave! Would definitely return.

Since Holiday Inn took over it's not as nice as it used to be. Been going over 20 years. Will check out other options for next year. My bed was like a rock. The community areas were not very clean. Easy check in and out. Family atmosphere. Great staff. Good food. Cashless this year and no more cash exchange which makes it more difficult.

an authentic mexican looking hotel once you hit the pool area and very sizable suites (we were in a 2 bedroom) however the two biggest let downs here are food not enough variation at all and theme nights that were advertised were non existent during our 1 week stay and entertainment or lack there of! It states in the hotel description that there is daily and nightly entertainment and there was none unless you count some sort of bingo game and colouring entertainment, there were no fun round the pool games or friendly competition games there wasn't even any music on around the pool area like you could hear at other hotels you walk past unfortunately this makes for boredom if you just hang around the hotel. The food is also lacking in choice and seems to cater more for Americans or other foreign guests but not so much the English, we ordered a steak one night and I was shocked that that's exactly what I got served with only a couple of sprung onions NO sides whatsoever it didn't even come with chips, turns out if you wanted it with chips you needed to state that when ordering 🤔never in my life have I ever ordered steak and it not come with chips/potatoes as standard. This is all a shame because this hotel has such potential for more.

Positives; It’s a very clean resort, most of the staff are lovely and the large rooms are a bonus. Negatives; Extremely boring, there is literally ZERO entertainment unless abit of bingo is the highlight of your day. No music around the pool creating no atmosphere. Bar shuts at 10 so prepare to be tucked up in bed at 10.30 everynight. Breakfast is the only buffet style meal, personally I like the option of a buffet in the evening. Food is repetitive as a result as the menus are the same everynight. As not everyone is AI there are obsessed with giving you receipts is your AI, constant signing receipts and handing your card over. There are obsessed with room service, you can’t grab a plate you have to order everything through room service. Limited information given when checking in. The following day when met with front of house they are more interested in selling time shares than actually giving you relevant information you need.

A great place, beautiful, clean and with excellent services. As many neighbouring hotels become highrises, Royal cancun remains a jewel
