Better than I expected after checking in…
This hotel is unlike any all inclusive I’ve ever gone to. It is very affordable. The rooms are clean. The staff did a good job restocking the room and keeping it clean. AC works well. However. The rooms are run down. Doors are delaminating. Fixtures are rusty. Thankfully I don’t spend a lot of time in the room. Food is ok. Choices limited. One buffet very little meat on the buffet. But you can order 4 protein choices. 4 sit downs. That are never all open at once. And agin OK. But they are willing to try to get what you want. Pool area can be a bit raunchy. It’s adults only. But it is again very clean. There was a pool man cleaning and testing water all day. And here’s where they shine. -The waiters. Fernando. Truly amazing. Attentive. We were a group of 30 and he worked his butt off. And we appreciated him! Also shout out for Fousteno(? I butchered that name and am sorry!) -the bartenders, especially Fonzie. 10/10!! He remembered little things, like which tequila I wanted in my Paloma. Made recommendations if they were out. -the entertainment crew JOSH! The best. Personable, funny, entertaining. He led water exercise and volleyball as well as nightly entertainment. We loved him. A ton. So all in all, wasn’t what I expected when I arrived. But we had a great week. Partly to our great friend and family group, and to Josh, Fonzie, and Fernando and Faustino. And countless others I can’t name. This is not a 4/5 star resort. Yet. Hopefully they improve some things. If you want fun, inexpensive, and sun and beach. Come on down. If you want luxury, pay more and go somewhere else.

Spectacular place to stay in Cancun!
We had the best time at Sandos Resort!! All of the staff were so fun, friendly, and professional. Daniel was the most attentive server at the pool and Eduardo always served us our drinks with a smile. Alan made our dinner experience at Frattine’s unforgettable. (Get the Myan Coffee! Highly recommend. Rogelio made it perfecto.) And Joseu’s energy and personality made every activity he hosted fun and welcoming for all. He was absolutely the life of the party and our favorite host. We will definitely be back.
