This was our second week on the island and after initially having doubts about it being located at the end of a runway 😳we had a lovely time here. The planes tend to be small and go quickly and are not really an issue. The hotel is spotless and the grounds lush with tropical plants and trees. The two main pools are very shallow, one without the swim up bar much quieter. Comfortable sunlougers and plenty of them there was never a problem getting a bed wherever you wanted it. In fact there were never queues for anything. Fabulous friendly chatty staff, lovely Deanna in the restaurant and Tanisha keeping you very hydrated whilst lying by the pools. Great food, we wouldn’t go back to the Thyme as we felt it was a bit soulless but no complaints overall. On the last day rather annoying a film crew were there taking pictures so we were turfed out of the nice quiet pool and they had removed my hat which was on a table and I never did get it back!! Room 247 a middle floor room overlooking the beach. Small complaint that the daft round bed on the balcony too up too much room! Much preferred two proper chairs 🙂

Everything from start to finish was amazing. Each and every team member was friendly and helpful. Food was great, drinks were top shelf and lush beautiful grounds were like nothing we’ve ever experienced…and we travel everywhere and often. We will return! Special shoutout to Sharma!

We have just returned from a one week stay - totally relaxed and batteries recharged. The staff are fabulous and everyone single one of them goes out of their way to help you. Loved the tip box at the end which is shared equally between all staff - means you can really be money free during the day. We stayed in a Veranda suite - it was perfect for us and kept spotless. Loved the Malabar restaurant on the beach - we ate there on three evenings. But have to say the quality of the food in The Terrace restaurant was fabulous and we aren’t really fans of buffets. We ate one night in Thyme - it was lovely but not really us as it was quite quiet and lacked some atmosphere. Great watersports and again the staff were fabulous. You do get planes flying over but not frequently- we went knowing this so it didn’t bother us. Overall a fabulous holiday - loved the lack of WiFi and TVs.

Me and my husband got married at this resort 30 years ago and returned to celebrate our anniversary, this time joined by our sons and their girlfriends. My worries that it would still feel as special as it had all those years ago were unnecessary. There have been many improvements since our visit in 1995 but most importantly, it has maintained the friendly, welcoming atmosphere thanks to the outstanding staff. We stayed in a beachfront cottage which was just metres from the sea, each with its own sunbeds outside. A lovely terrace with more sunbeds and chairs from which we watched the most wonderful sunsets most evenings. Our sons were in Verandah Suites which were modern spacious rooms with large outside sitting areas. We liaised with Sandra Baptiste, who is the special experiences coordinator, to arrange a private dinner for our anniversary evening. It couldn’t have been more perfect! A beautiful setting and amazing food. Sandra is brilliant and helped us with various arrangements during our stay - she is very efficient and always has a smile on her face. There is so much to do at the resort if you want to be active but nothing is forced on you. We enjoyed the Aqua aerobics most days which was always fun and the activity team are fantastic generally. We shared lots of laughs with Jo and Darren. We loved the Malabar restaurant and took most our meals here - lunch and dinner - great food with a real ‘feet in the sand’ experience. Food in the Thyme restaurant is amazing too. The champagne/piano bar became our meeting point for the start of our evenings. Champagne hour is from 7.00pm where a different champagne or sparkling wine can be tasted each night with Sean, the host of the bar, delivering a short talk about the wine you were drinking. An intimate bar with a lovely atmosphere for starting, or ending, an evening. Lisa, the manager, is extremely friendly and I often enjoyed a chat with her when crossing paths during the day. We were very sad when our holiday came to an end but left with lasting memories and all of us wanting to return. We certainly won’t be waiting 30 years to go back this time!

This was our second visit to Stolen Time. Overall, We would rate this a 4 1/2.The positives: excellent staff, especially Marvin, Gemma, Jo on the activities team, the waitresses and waiters and Chelsea ( who recognised us from last year and came out of the kitchen to greet us and explain the excellent deserts). The food was very good ( with the odd exception). The main areas of the hotel are very good. Negatives: rooms are looking a bit tired, and despite reporting an issue with our room, it was never fixed. Other: The hotel is near a small airport, but it is a non point ( same for the road). Overall, I would definitely return ( staff and location are fantastic), but I would hope that the management take notice of all the other comments about the tired rooms.
