This is our second trip and while there are many things we love about the resort there are some annoyances that should not occur given the very high cost of a stay. What we absolutely love!! The staff… Extremely helpful and friendly… We loved Gabby she exudes happiness and in addition to her many responsibilities at the Social Haus seems to be responsible for lots more at The GreenO… Jackie at the equestrian center.. has the best personality to be running the place.. made a very memorable cattle drive hands down our favorite activity. Lily who had the patience of a saint rearranging our activities! Jarod in the dining room. The activities guides all terrific and knowledgeable The activities Loved the Cattle Drive.. RTV Trip…Rafting trip… Lots to do.. The environment .. stunning and peaceful .. so beautiful..fantastic well laid out hiking trails! The Activities Center.. great selection of apparel and merchandise The Culinary Experience at The Green O!! Andrew, the executive chef and Harris his assistant are two wonderful amazing creative chefs. Their food is next level , so creative ,each night presents a different tasting menu with varied ,seasonable and interesting dishes. The pastry chef ‘s creativity knows no bounds. The wine selection was fabulous ,very high-end . The culinary experience makes the Green O what it is and made the visit worthwhile. The atmosphere in the dining room is cozy and welcoming. While our room , Round Haus 9 was cozy ( great robes, nice amenities.. amazing view from the bed of the forest ..there was no overhang outside..it rains frequently and the outdoor furniture was always wet.. The not so great… The pick up .. while it’s a nice service .. we had to wait at the airport for almost an hour for a couple and their luggage arriving on a different flight On the departure we had to travel to a different part of the resort and wait for twenty minutes for a group who were clearly not ready!! If we knew this we would have taken an Uber.. Housekeeping is the biggest problem. Provided once a day and if it’s late in the afternoon ie after 2 which was often the case they put the non automatic blinds( 15 separate ones) down despite frequent requests not to Dirty rags left in the room, refrigerator left open.. The overriding problem is that there is no General Manager of the Green O which is unheard of at a luxury resort.general unheard if at a Luxury Resort

Similar to feedback on other travel sites. Not worth the money! Service was horrible - non existent management team literally hiding from guests. Issues with housekeeping (rooms were not cleaned during stay - staff did not show up and the room was dirty when we checked in) and F&B was slow & totally untrained. Beautiful setting & excursions were good - they need to overhaul the management team to save this place.

We were very excited about this trip. We had read great reviews and couldn’t wait to get to the property. Unfortunately, they missed the mark on many things, but mainly they were short staffed and those they had were highly inexperienced. The room was amazing and the property is absolutely gorgeous. The food was good but gets boring after several days. The service at Social Haus was terrible. Almost every order came out wrong. We also heard horror stories about a 2 hour wait for lunch on the Paws Up side. The activities were ok but the cattle drive was a joke. Boring, long, and the wranglers were rude, condescending, and overwhelmed. We moved about 10 cows down a dirt road and then moved them back down the same road. It was not what we had envisioned. We would give this stay a 2 out of 10, with the redeeming factors being the beauty of the property and the gorgeous accommodations.

We recently stayed at Paws Up and honestly came away feeling like it’s a 3-star resort disguised and priced as a 5-star luxury experience. The property and scenery are beautiful, but the service and operations were shockingly poor for what they charge. Some of the biggest issues: * Rooms were not serviced consistently each day * Staff seemed uninformed about activities and resort logistics * No clear schedules or communication for activities * Restaurant wait times were routinely close to 2 hours * The “cattle drive” experience was extremely underwhelming and felt completely misrepresented What stood out most was the lack of leadership and organization. Nobody seemed to know what was going on, and there was very little sense of proactive hospitality. At these prices, guests expect a polished luxury experience. Instead, the entire stay felt like a money grab built around the scenery and marketing rather than actual service quality. There are many resorts that deliver far better hospitality, organization, food service, and value for significantly less money. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here based on our experience.

Recently stayed at Paws Up and was truly impressed. The setting is breathtaking, and the overall experience exceeds that of many luxury resorts I’ve visited. The culinary program is particularly noteworthy — thoughtful, refined, and consistently well-executed across all outlets. Accommodations were spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained. What impressed me most was the genuine warmth of the staff. The property has a true sense of place and authenticity that many luxury destinations attempt to create but rarely succeed in. Overall, it was a truly unique experience that remains with you long after leaving Montana.
