As you make your way to Dreams Dominicus La Romana, a blanket of blue comes into focus as you approach this seaside sanctuary. This is paradise, Dominican Republic style, where families and couples can reacquaint and singles can mingle with like-minded guests. The collection of rooms and suites, with canopied beds draped in luxe fabrics and beverage refrigerators stocked with a stash of complimentary drinks, are capsules of luxury. But it is the resort's signature Unlimited-Luxury®, program, a concept where just about everything is included, that truly dazzles even the most seasoned resort aficionados. Food and beverages, activities and recreational equipment, entertainment and clubs for kids and teens are all included in your stay.

Make sure you get preferred club access and see Olga and Raul. They treated us like royalty and really made the experience excellent. In fact, the entire staff really made this trip the best I’ve had in a long time. It would be great if the facilities were upgraded to match the level of service that the staff gives. Regardless would definitely come back just to see Olga and Raul again. They are the BEST!

Me and my boyfriend came for my birthday trip. The service was incredible, and stood out the most of the whole trip. Olga and Raul at the pool bar especially were very attentive and made our trip so memorable. This place wouldn’t be the same without the staff. Grateful for an amazing experience and the amazing people who took it to the next level.

Everything was great I really enjoyed the stay and was so much fun. Yuliana was a wonderful dancer we dance beach aerobics & bachata and salsa lessons with her and her team.

The resort is beautiful! Definitely worth upgrading to preferred. The beach area is smaller than expected due to rocky beach front. However, the preferred beach area gives plenty of room. The only downfall was the pool bars close at 6pm. Not ideal as the sun goes down around 8pm. Overall great experience!

We have recently returned from a 2 week stay at the Secrets La Romana resort, staying in a Deluxe garden view room. On arrival we paid for an upgrade to the Preferred Club benefits but kept our room as per the original booking. In our opinion, the benefits of this upgrade were worth the money with full access to the Preferred Club beaches, pools, free room service, daytime restaurants and lounges on both the Secrets and Dreams resorts. The quality and selection of drinks was much improved. Our room was spacious, appeared to be recently renovated, well equipped and had a large comfortable bed. The housekeeping service was excellent. Our location of choice in the daytime was the Dreams beach area, this is more spacious than the Secrets beach and seemed to have the daily benefit of a sea breeze. The beach is very clean and the water is calm for swimming, snorkeling is not the best as the water visibility was easily reduced when the sea was not calm, however it is still worth trying. The selection of A la carte restaurants at both hotels is excellent and it is a bonus not having to book a table in advance, we waited no more than 5 mins on two occasions for a table. Noor was our favorite restaurant out of the selection. The evening buffet was located in the Dreams resort, we used this twice and there was a good selection of quality food. The buildings and grounds of both resorts are immaculately maintained and very well presented, possibly the best that we have experienced. The Sports Bar and Casino are worth a visit, shame they did not serve food in the Sports Bar during the daytime though. Entertainment at the Secrets resort is low key but you have the option of Dreams in the evening so there is plenty of choice. Our only negative experience was the amount of extras that were available that required excessive additional payment - Preferred Club, butler service (for people that are unable to move for lunch!), cabanas, outside dining at selected A la carte restaurants if you bought an overpriced bottle of wine, Beach dining event and so on. This is becoming more frequent at All-inclusive resorts but we felt that not having the option for outside dining unless you pay for bottle of wine was annoying. The staff are a credit to the resorts, they are all friendly, helpful and professional. Special mentions are Anabel, Raul, Luis and Ilveria at the Blue Bar and Abraham and Belgica at the Dreams Preferred Club beach. We will definitely plan to return in the future.
