Sonesta Ocean Point Resort

The location is perfect, the atmosphere is beautiful and the service and people are wonderful. I loved my room and the room service is excellent. My room was cleaned daily which I loved but my only complaint is the resort needs more entertainment, there was no music by the pool and the overall entertainment for the guest could have been better. Overall I will return to the resort but I do recommend a few changes, for instance a desert lounge for the adult side for late night snacks and entertainment other than that, everything was great including the food

The resort is a stones throw away from the airport. It’s a $10 taxi ride. There is an adult side and a family side. We stayed on the family side. The atmosphere is very chill and laid back. Multiple pools and bars throughout. We had the roof top Butler suite. The room was awesome double vanity, shower, tub and closet. We had a king size bed, tv, couch and the balcony was huge. As for the butler serve it elevated our experience to another level. Our butler Ranjeet made our stay unforgettable!!! You communicate via WhatsApp and responded with in minutes every time. He greeted us with a smile, firm handshake and a hug. Poolside he brought us food and drinks. For my wife’s birthday he set up balloons and pastries. He felt more like family as our vacation went on. Brother Ranjeet if you see this review I just want to say thank you for making my wife happy and this experience unforgettable!!! The food and drinks were good. The property is very clean. Employees greet us at every turn. We booked the couples massage in the gazebo over looking the ocean. Highly recommend!!! Also got the tomahawk dinner for $75. In NYC that would easily go for $150. If you do butler service I highly recommend Ranjeet except when I’m there 😆😆😆. We will be back

This was our third year and we make it a little longer every year. Ocean Point is a relaxing, firndly and very civilized resort. Cafe Azul is probably the best restaurant on the Dutch side. We'll be back to see Sheryl at the pool!

I am very disappointed with my experience at Ocean Point Sonesta, Sint Maarten. First of all, I was charged multiple times incorrectly on my card, which is completely unacceptable. While the hotel eventually admitted it was an error and processed a refund, it is extremely frustrating that I now have to wait days just to get my own money back. This shows a serious lack of control and professionalism. On top of that, we paid extra for butler service, but never received it during our stay. No follow-up, no explanation, nothing. Paying for a premium service and not receiving it is simply not okay. Overall, this experience did not live up to expectations at all. Between the payment issues and missing services, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my stay.

From the moment the taxi dropped us off at the Ocean Point desk, Kmar begin our trip with a smile and a positive attitude that set the stage for what would be our favorite vacation so far. At the desk, Justin, Daynti and Angela went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied with the accommodations that were reserved for us. We couldn’t have been happier with our Junior Suite King in room 516. The room was perfect. At the Azul, Maddy, Sophia, Sidia, Rihana, and Rumerne made every meal and enjoyable experience. The food at the Azul was the best it has ever been. We are picky eaters, and we were very happy with the choices. More importantly, our son and his wife are self proclaimed foodies and are very picky about the restaurants that they eat in. They were more than happy with the food at the Ocean Point. They never ate off the resort because the food was so good. During our previous vacations, the food was always mediocre. We loved the resort and we put up with the food. This trip the food was one of highlights. We couldn’t have been happier. Please pass on our compliments to the chef and do what you need to do to keep him! The sparkling pool was our daily afternoon visit, and as always, Cheryl made us feel warm and welcomed. She is amazing! We have already booked our next trip to Saint Maarten in January and can’t wait to come back!
