Reviews for Zoetry Marigot Bay St. Lucia

Almost perfect but the room ruined it

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

The resort and amenities are amazing. We liked the bay views and options there. The only reason I would not recommend based on our experience is because of the room condition- bad smell, worn and dirty floors and windows, broken bathroom mirror and air conditioner that leaked all over the desk and floor.

Would never return - feels unsafe

I stayed at Zoëtry Marigot Bay St. Lucia in February 2026 and was extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience. Personal items went missing from my room, and over a week later, the hotel has still provided no meaningful update. Communication was painfully slow, promised updates never materialized, and management’s disorganisation and lack of accountability was shocking. I cannot trust this hotel to keep guests or their belongings safe and will never return or recommend it. The only bright spot was the amazing staff — Brenda, Alison, Mandel, Neil, Sean, and Rosemary were incredibly professional, friendly, and went out of their way to help. Without them, the experience would have been entirely unbearable. The food itself was lovely when served correctly, but menus were inconsistent, service was slow, and on several occasions dishes were served cold. The “quiet luxury” atmosphere is completely misleading — a loud corporate group dominated the pool area with drunken shouting, and the grounds themselves were tired and poorly maintained. Overall, this stay was a major disappointment and a total failure of the hotel’s advertised standards.

Exceptional Caribbean hideaway, with the warmest of welcomes.

Beautiful location beside a gorgeous, hidden, Caribbean bay. Warmly welcoming atmosphere, and huge, well-equipped rooms and balconies. Extensive views of the Bay and Marina. Excellent service from room-maid, butler, concierge and pool and restaurant/bar staff. Happiest memories are of the wonderfully warm welcome extended by all hotel staff. This welcome was so intrinsic to the whole atmosphere, that it seems unfair to single out individuals for particular praise, but we must mention Ella, the Concierge, Neil, our butler, and Philip, the restaurant manager. Thank you all, and we hope to see you again on our return.

Excellent staff, beautiful property, wonderful rooms, love it!! The staff are attentive and knowledgeable and so very kind. The resort is absolutely gorgeous. The restaurants are good. The rum cave was the best. We so enjoyed our rum taste and Karla was exceptional in her knowledge and attentiveness!

Overall a great experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We recently spent a week at this resort; 2 of us in our mid-50s and 3 of us mid-20s. The ride to and from the airport was interesting….a hilly, winding and sometimes precarious 2 lane road with great scenery. The check in process was easy and we were all personally shown to our rooms. We had 2 bay view rooms and 1 tropical view. The bay views were worth the extra cost. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms were dated and some haphazard touch ups had been attempted (electrical tape and paint). Shower had no door so water went all over the floor no matter how hard you tried to avoid it. I’ve been to many resorts that have no shower doors and it always makes a mess. Overall the resort was quiet and relaxing. There were a handful of kids but this is not a kids resort. Mostly couples ages 40+. They had music playing at the main pool but there was no entertainment crew or parties happening. Very limited nightlife. The food was excellent. There were two restaurants for breakfast: 1461 which has an à la carte menu and small buffet and the Hurricane hole down in the marina which has a casual vibe. For lunch, the main pool has a good casual menu (burgers, chips and guac, bowls, wings) and there is a small buffet of pizza and salad at the Cove. Hurricane hole is also open all day. For dinner, the Cove serves Italian (I had pizza, chicken parm, caprese salad and lasagna and everything was delicious). There is also dinner at 1461 (a bit upscale), Hurricane hole (salads, smash burgers, steak sandwiches - casual) plus a steakhouse which is not included in the all-inclusive package so we didn’t eat there. Our 20-somethings went over to the beach one afternoon, did some paddle boarding and really enjoyed themselves. They said there were lots of lounge chairs and shade. There were also some vendors and they bought some souvenirs. Another day they did a day trip to the pitons with stops at a mud bath and a waterfall which was a great experience. We ran into some communication issues that put a bit of a damper on our stay. Our room was missing a safe, we needed a converter or adapter for the plugs, and another in our group had a broken hairdryer. Despite asking for these items repeatedly and repeated assurances these would be corrected, we did not have a safe or hairdryer for the entire week and it took 4 days to get a plug adapter. We finally spoke to a manager who admitted they had dropped the ball. We were also disappointed that we were not able to get a table for dinner on our last night there, which was a Saturday. Both the Cove and 1461 were full of reservations but we weren’t aware that reservations could or should be made. We had eaten at both restaurants multiple times during the week and no one even mentioned the word reservation, so we were surprised that on Saturday we couldn’t get seated without one. I had noticed that the pool was busier than usual on Saturday and a lot of people were wearing bracelets, which I think were day passes (people staying on their boat in the marina can use the resort facilities plus some were locals as well) so I got the impression that this was why the restaurants were so busy. The resort should have let us know that reservations were recommended on the weekends. They also should have made sure the guests staying at the resort were given priority over those on a day pass. Despite the communication issues mentioned, all the staff were so nice. In particular, Alison at the pool bar and Tammy at the Cove were real service standouts, and Kevin went out of his way to help our kids with a problem they had with a day trip. The staff can make or break your experience at a resort, and we were not disappointed. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this resort for relaxation and good food.
