We stayed at this resort as recommended by a friend and I must say it was worth every penny, we met Jermaine Brissett at the information desk who made sure we had an amazing stay he also provided us with information as to how we can come back with great benefits when using playa collection

Overall, we had a lovely experience. Staff was exceptional and we had no complaints about the food except we ate too much. I will highlight some pros and cons. Pros 1. Food is very good and staff is great. We had a really small hiccup upon check in but it was remedied very quickly. 2. We stayed at Ziva. It was quiet and the room itself was very clean and updated. We stayed here years ago when it was a Ritz but the bathroom is still the same. It was not a problem for us just something we noticed. Housekeeping was excellent. 3. Pools and staff are great. 4.Errol at Stirz was phenomenal. Hope I spelled that correctly. 5. You can now make all of your dinner reservations for your whole stay. 6. Grinds is really great lovely staff. I highly recommend the chocolate croissant. Cons 1. We arrived on a Tuesday and made all of our reservations but planned to just be relaxed and eat dinner at the buffet that evening. We went to eat at about 6:30 and the door was literally slammed in our face and we were told quite rudely the buffet was closed. So, next to the buffet was Union Jackz. That was the worst service. It took nearly an hour to get food and to say we got attitude was an understatement. 2. The ice situation was annoying as we like to hang out at the room after dinner and if you don’t want to go to a bar you need to order ice. We have no problem getting ice for ourselves. The big problem….The Playa…. Well, they claim it isn’t a timeshare because that’s illegal in Jamaica but it is. We spoke to one man who encountered us on the stairs and identified himself as a manager. He gave us an “invitation” to come and speak to them. We have heard that ridiculousness before and were polite. The next morning before 8am we got a phone call from Olivia to set up a meeting. We did not answer because we aren’t buying into any kind of timeshare (which it is and has horrible reviews.) We were on our way to breakfast and were again accosted by Olivia who informed us we can go eat breakfast and then come see them. The last encounter happened we were sitting but the pool and the manager (I can’t remember his name because I was so taken aback) accosted us and was almost yelling at us to come see him. Hyatt should be ashamed. We also stayed on the 5th floor almost directly across from the Playa office. They were loud and we could hear all of it. Overall, we had a good time but Hyatt needs to stop harassing guests with the Playa.

Overall the resort was nice. The food was good as well, especially the buffet Choicez. The resort lobbies and grounds are well maintained. The wait staff were awesome. We stayed at the Ziva building two, the rooms are dated but clean. Rooms at the Rose Hall building 3 have been renovated but cost more. We were a group of 20 and some had paid for excursions. Two of the people got sick, including a minor. They could only get a refund if they paid $60 to see a doctor. Even the parent of the minor child had to pay the doctor, even though she was not sick, but canceled her excursion to stay with her sick child. So read the fine print for excursions and bring any medicine you think you might need. Hyatt charges for every thing. Another person paid $55 for Fleet Saline medicine. So sad.

Overall the resort is a resort just like all the rest except the Internet was down for 2 to 4 days I was there. TVs wasn’t there. We’re not working 2 to 4 days. I was there also have mold in my room. You be the judge

Wasn’t solo travel friendly and the customer service throughout the resort (females mostly) was terrible. I wouldn’t revisit this resort nor recommend.
