This was our first time in Jamaica and we had planned our wedding at the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall. We were treated wonderful while we vacationed and had our wedding at the resort. Once we got to the resort we were greeted and shown to our room by the hospitality staff. We were very fortunate to be upgraded to a butler suite and our butlers were top notch and very attentive to our needs. Kerrian, Peta-Gay, and Toni-Ann were absolutely amazing taking care of every detail. My son really enjoyed being pampered and brought his grilled cheese to the pool when we were there and that made him feel special. The housekeeping staff made sure everything was taken care of in our room and left no stone unturned. We also really appreciated our bartenders especially Danicoy who was very kind and helpful to whatever we needed while we were at the pool. There was also plenty of food choices to choose from during our trip along with plenty of other activities to keep you occupied no matter what activity you would want to participate in. Overall we would definitely recommend this resort whether you’re bringing your family or just bringing your significant other.

Just don’t do it. Sure the hotel has good food, as do most places in Jamaica, but thats about it. I spent over 3k for a 3 night stay in a swim up room. Do not even think about spending this amount of money for this type of room at THIS hotel. It is not worth it: the room stinks of mold/mildew, it is dark, and dated. I read this in the other reviews but for some reason thought that would change. The rooms still have an odor which is unacceptable when you are paying this much money. The manager was kind, however she was of no help and provided unrealistic reassurance to issues that would arise; as if she believed she were speaking to a gullible child. Overall, extremely disappointed as I was visiting to celebrate a major career milestone. Will not be returning, ever.

I went with my family of wife and two kids 9 / 12 and stayed in a junior two bedroom ocean front suite. We mainly stayed on site with the exception of an off site shopping trip about fifteen minutes away to break up monotony. Room service was daily and included towel refresh. Products available in room were mainly environmentally sustainable and reusable. Condition of room wait fairly updated but could do with some more modernization of outlets and shower facilities. Food options were buffet style with poolside and beach offerings available and part of the experience including many drinks and cocktails. Other food options included at no additional cost were a French bistro style, Italian restaurant, and Asian fusion teppanyaki as well as a British pub and snack stations although we only did the French bistro. We would definitely consider another experience at either this Hyatt or some other location in the near future.

We just got back from here and I must say, it could have been better. The most stressful part was checking in. The lady at the front desk was trying to check in 3 different families at once. First she was checking in my sister, while someone else was helping me. She just took over checking us in from the other front desk clerk, then rushed me to swipe my card as I was trying to login to my account to make sure the transaction didnt decline. We have spotty internet when we first get to Jamaica. No where on their website, calling, chatting or emailing does it say anything about a $300 hold per room. Anyone I asked kept saying they didn't have that information. Other resorts we've stayed at, at the most has done a $200 hold, so that's all I was readily prepared for. In between checking in my family of 5 and my sister's family of 4, she started checking in another family. This is me and my husband's 3rd time in Jamaica (1st with our kids) and we've never had an experience like this. No one showed us around the resort so we were left to basically figure things out on our own or ask as we went along. The guy that helped with our bags, stood at our room until we gave him a tip. Other resorts we've stayed at, they take your bags to your room before you even get there. I guess he did that to make sure he was tipped. They claimed to have a game room (we never found it). They play loud music most of the day at the pool. It's supposed to be a family resort but it felt more like an adult resort that just accepted kids. The food was pretty good and the service (other than that 1 lady) was great. Our rooms were beautiful and we had great views. The halls were kind of dark and they could definitely stand to replace the carpet. If your looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation or anyone in your group has sensitive hearing I would not recommend this resort.
