Reviews for Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall

Perfect for us!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 11 hours ago

Place is 5 star when it comes to the service. Staff is so kind, friendly and so attentive. I have never seen a staff work so hard! The people made this vacation amazing for myself and my husband. It was my husbands milestone birthday. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming. Comfy and clean room. Housekeeping also 5 stars Bars and severs- 5 stars Coffee going all day in little cafe in lobby Options for buffet breakfast were great. Lunch options were perfect, can choose to enjoy the jerk hut or the Calypso grill which were also great while enjoying the pool area or the beach. Beach area was beautiful and immaculate. Pool was clean and there is tons of options for chairs and shaded areas. Clean towels always available at pool. Overall this place was just perfect for us and we intend to return to Ziva Jamaica is beautiful.

Good for the money but could be so much better.

My husband and I just returned from a 5 day stay at the resort. While we enjoyed, let me touch base on some of the pros and cons staying at the Hyatt Ziva Hall. Pros: *Cost of the all-inclusive vacation. We booked directly through American Airlines Vacations. *Proximity to the Sangster International Airport. *Immaculate grounds and pools. *Friendly staff, especially Jevayghn in the Italian restaurant on site. He was absolutely wonderful. *Number of on-site restaurants, bars, and convenience stores. * The Jerk Hut and the Italian restaurant. Cons: * Current rating of 4.5. The carpeting is showing severe signs of wear and tear throughout both Ziva and Zilaria. In most places it is worn to the backing of the carpet. Ziva halls and rooms need a fresh coat of painting. And the use of deodorizer’s throughout in the hallways. *Food selection in the restaurants. * The music on the Zilaria side in the afternoon was offensive in the fact that it was sexually explicit and inappropriate. Two other couples besides ourselves left the area because of it. * Zilaria pool bathrooms were exceptionally clean while those on the Ziva side were not. *Pushing La Playa. We did not come here to listen to time share info. As soon as we checked in the resort, we were ushered to the La Playa desk. We thought at first it was to give us an overview of the resort. Not what we expected for a Hyatt resort. * Lighting or lack thereof in our Ziva room. Even during the day, the room was very dark, and even darker in the evening. *Not replenishing the bath soap and shampoo in the shower area. We had to remove ours from the shower holder just to shower on days 3-5. *Service and length of time it took to get our food at Union Jackz. Suggestions: offer and refresh the snacks on the mini-bar in the room. Ours was not. We brought water back throughout our stay. *Offer healthier options at breakfast and lunch…i.e. Yogurts, fresh vegetables, and kid friendly foods. *Offer the availability to make reservations for the French restaurant on the app.

Simply Amazing

My experience at this resort was spectacular. This was a birthday celebration with 11 other family members. All of us experienced fantastic service, friendly staff and clean rooms. The many restaurants provided exceptional service. As for the food, it was amazing. I will like to single out a super friendly, always courteous and smiling hostess- Davia, who made our stay at this facility pleasurable and we are already planning on future trips. Kudos to all the staff.

Excellent property with good amenities

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I chose this resort primarily based on the property. This was our first time with all inclusive so we really wanted our money’s worth and never left the grounds during our stay. Overall the property is absolutely gorgeous and the amenities are well organized and readily available. I found posted reviews very helpful. One big caveat to this review is that we gambled on hurricane season and won. The resort was EMPTY and we had the grounds to ourselves. Therefore customer service was excellent as they had less guests. We had a swim up room- agree with reviews as to the mildew smell. But honestly you only noticed it upon entering and it never bothered us. Having the swim up room was excellent for flexibility - swimming at any hour, semi private, don’t need to pack a bag to ‘hang by the pool’, etc. It got a little busier on the weekend- many groups all sharing one of the guests pool access. Also room was clearly worn. Lots of scuffs on every surface, shampoo bottles with worn labels, wall art looked like many people had hit their head on it. But in general we didn’t regret it. The food was not bad but I was often disappointed by the pre-made quality. The buffet had the same things every time we went and looked as if it had been sitting for hours. Especially breakfast where waffles are kept in a humid warmer so they are basically a wet sponge. It could be because there were less people so there was less food turnover, but it was not enjoyable. Otherwise food was pretty good, especially dinner only restaurants, just limited. Calypso had at least 3 things unavailable on a menu of 10 choices. Worst of all the restaurants by far. I was looking forward to the spa. My service was phenomenal - best facial of my life. The facilities were depressing. Cold plunge had a gross film on top (no one using or cleaning it,) shower I used to rinse didn’t drain, and one of the three bathrooms had no handle -just a lock. Because it’s so humid, the doors stick. I had to actually ask an attendant to help me get out. But again amazing service so it was a wash. In general the place was so beautiful and service so good I would consider returning soon. However, not sure how some of the issues would vibe when the place is packed.
