The issue was not the staff, they were all nice. The problem is everything was sticky and dirty, even the pools. Would not go back neither recommend, certainly not more than a 2-3 star hotel it became. Use to be better years ago, they neglected this hotel over the year.

Had a phenomenal time celebrating friends wedding. My husband and I had the time of our lives. Can’t wait to come back to Jamaica 🇯🇲

Overall our stay at Secrets Wild Orchids was good. However some of the staff especially upon check in which made our stay unpleasant. The person who initially checked us in was sweet. We were taking over to the “ coupons counter” where we meet Brandon. Needless to say Brandon and the other staff members at the “ coupon counter “ was extremely rude and unprofessional! This left a sour taste in our mouths within minutes of checking in to the resort. This would become an ongoing experience throughout our stay. When not having to deal with rude and unprofessional staff members we had a wonderful time. The staff at the restaurants were amazing as was our room attendant

The worst resort I’ve ever been to. The food was terrible and cold, my wife got sick from it the day before we left. There were roaches that I personally seen in the little dining area near the front desk. Room service takes about 1.5 hours, no fans in showers/toilet area. It’s hot everywhere in the resort besides your room. The entertainment was not entertaining at all, they sing country and pop songs, nothing local. The drinks are basically different versions of fruit punch and koolaid, not strong at all. I can say they have a great gym, lots of quality equipment. Only thing wrong with the gym is there’s no fan/AC so you’re basically working out in a sauna.

Everyone being happy to do their job and make the customer experience what they would want if they were staying at a resort. They gave less than they would expect. Unfortunately, it felt as if 2 out of every 3 employees were either entitled, expected to do the bare minimum, or did not want to be at work. I stayed at the resort for my honeymoon 14 years ago, and the staff had a clear desire to over-deliver. On this visit, I can expecting that and had a pocket full of money to tip people. I don't know if the clientele of the resort has declined, if the work force has gotten worse, or if both have happened, but very few people provided impressive service or commitment to service. Not one question I asked garnered a favorable answer, solution, or empathetic response...from requests for M&Ms, room service orders, questions about bar service in the casino, or questions about food temperature, every response was an excuse or indication of a desire to do nothing about the problem. Every breakfast came to the room cold. Most dishes came to the dinner table luke warm or cold. Most drinks came melted. All ice cream came melted. Cafe Coco never had more than a couple flavors and never the most requested (vanilla). It felt like second class citizenship was the expectation.
