Secrets Wild Orchid was a brilliant hotel and met all our needs. This trip was special as we got engaged. Everything was planned out beautifully and the hotel staff made sure all my expectations were met on the day. I would definitely recommend Secrets Wild Orchid to anyone! Thankyou Secrets for a great stay!

Beautiful Island,. Horrible experience at the secret resort. Room had mold in restrooms and showers. No ice machines, you had to wait an hour to recieve ice. Only 3 restaurants open per night and other folks come from near by locations Breathless to eat at Secret resort. Snappy and fustrated staff members had attitudes unless you had a few dollars visible whrn making requests. This resort is far from Iberostar! Standards

The friendliest staff ever. Room was clean. Food was decent but better than other all-inclusives I have been to. And the drinks were much better than other resorts!

Booked through Expedia, we chose ocean view with two double beds. When I got my confirmation email, I had a king preferred suite with one king bed. I placed 5 calls before check in date and I was told they would let me know if someone cancels. Get to the resort the lobby AC was not working in July. Several onsite dining options were without AC as well. I was totally uncomfortable. I would not recommend this resort it is not worth the money. Room had a stench smell. Constantly haggled by staff for product pitches. A huge turnoff. First time in Jamaica and it’s not a pleasant experience.

Visited Summer 2025 Stayed a few nights at Secrets resort in Montego Bay. Three resorts connected as one: St James, Wild Orchid, and Breathless. Here’s what you need to know: What’s Great The Beach: Amazing in July. Water was super calm and clear. Perfect for swimming. Plenty of beach chairs and space. Room Service: Housekeeping was excellent. Daily cleaning plus nice turndown service at night. Staff really cared about making rooms perfect. Three Resorts in One: We could use all three properties with the Preferred booking (?). Wild Orchid has newer, modern rooms. St James is more traditional style. Breathless has a cool rooftop bar for younger guests. Beautiful Sunsets: The evening views are stunning. Fountains and common areas look amazing at sunset. The Problems Check-in Mess: They moved us between resorts due to “overbooking.” This shouldn’t happen with confirmed reservations. Restaurant Waits: This was the biggest issue. Long lines everywhere. We waited an hour for Jamaican food. Many restaurants share kitchens, so if one is open, another is closed. The resort app looks nice but you can’t actually make dinner reservations. Food Quality: Room service food wasn’t fresh. You could tell it wasn’t made when you ordered it. What They Should Fix Keep the main buffets open for breakfast and dinner. This would solve the restaurant wait problem. People need backup options when specialty restaurants have long lines. Tips for Your Trip Explore Safely: Use Viator for local tours or ask the front desk for safe options. Supporting local businesses makes your trip better and helps the community. Bring Snacks: The finger foods at each building are good, but having backup snacks helps during restaurant waits. Manage Expectations: This isn’t luxury, but it’s decent value for the price. Bottom Line Beautiful location with calm July waters and great housekeeping. Restaurant management needs major improvement, but the setting makes up for a lot. The connected resorts give you variety and the beach is truly special. Would I go back? Maybe, but I’d pack snacks and have backup dinner plans. Quick tip: The small bars in each building are your friend when restaurants are packed.
