I can only guess that a one star review has two sides to the story. I am disappointed with myself for reading them and half believing them! The staff were absolutely incredible, worked so hard with every request and everything was done professionally, efficiently and with smiles and jokes. Highly recommend Collinton at reception. He went above and beyond for us. The food quality and presentation is outstanding with again, the most accommodating service. Did not have a bad meal in seven days at the resort. Highly recommend Kashana at the palm as your server and Christopher is the most outstanding team leader and pure gentleman. The rooms are stunning and the room service was flawless. Bed were extremely comfortable. Thank you Shamine. The groundsmen keep the gardens and the beach spotless every morning and always with a smile and a joke. The staff running the water sports and boat tours were so much fun and also very knowledgeable, I highly recommend the catamaran and the glass bottom boat, so enjoyable. (Highly recommend Damion). I had a body scrub, seaweed wrap and facial at the spa by Nadeen and I have never had a spa experience quite like it. Again, she is absolutely incredible and was one of many highlights of my trip. Beach bar service (bamboo bar) was amazing and in particular Mario. Professional, polite but also fun. Remembered our orders and came around with fruit kabobs. We have travelled around the world, and this resort is truly outstanding and deserves a five star rating.

We spent 2 weeks here at the end of February, into March, and generally had a great time. Check in process was quick, after a 3 hour journey from the airport(!) and our room was a bit of a walk but very nice, clean and a stocked bar which was welcome. Staff - 95% were lovely and friendly, a couple of them weren't as chatty/smiley but can't win them all! Particular shoutout to Al-Jay at the pool bar, Martin for the beach games and Alexander one of the waiters. Food - Lemongrass was excellent, and then we actually found that the buffet (The Palms) offered the best food in terms of quality compared to the other two restaurants. Evening entertainment was enjoyable too (be sure to check out the steel pan guys on Wednesdays!) It was also great to have fresh fruit available near the pool bar, and the fish tacos at Seagrape Cafe are definitely worth checking out. Activities - we only did paddle boarding and kayaking, but these were enjoyable and fun to do early in the day. The sea would get a bit choppier as the day continues, so its better to go out earlier if you can. The beach was lovely, however if you want a good spot or some shade then you've got to get out early to reserve your lounger. This was a big problem at this hotel, people reserving loungers/shady spots very early and then disappearing for hours. We spent most of our time on the loungers by the swim up bar, and there was always space, but I think the hotel should be doing more to stop this stupid reserving thing that goes on. The only last point was that this hotel is supposed to have a no tipping policy, however there were so many people obviously tipping or putting money into staff hands. I saw people waving dollars at the bar to try and get served, and heard stories of people who weren't tipping having to wait longer to get a drink. Appreciate the staff are probably not getting the best of wages and the tips help, but why have a no tipping policy when it's so obviously happening?! Other than that, great hotel - not sure I'd return any time soon and I think 2 weeks was probably a bit too long, 10 days would've been better for us.

So much to do in such a beautiful location. We needed to do our homework to be prepared before arrival to be able to experience everything that we wanted to…and that’s why we need to return. This was the beginning of a trend for this couple.

From the moment we touched down at the airport, we knew we were in for something special. The greeting at the Couples arrival lounge, the seamless transportation to the resort, the warm welcome at check-in, and every moment after was perfect. Our Ocean Verandah room was stunning (and freshly remodeled) with a nice view that greeted us every morning. The beach? Absolute paradise with crystal-clear waters and soft white sand. Every day brought new activities – from beach volleyball, pickleball, tennis, wood carving, snorkeling, etc. to simply relaxing with a cocktail in hand. The food was consistently delicious, with something to satisfy every craving, and the drinks from the martini bar were so much fun to try (with 25 to choose from!) – shoutout to the talented bartenders who kept us refreshed and smiling! A massive thank you to the dive team – you all were phenomenal! If it weren’t for your patience and encouragement, I wouldn't have even attempted to complete a dive certification. Your confidence in me helped me gain confidence in myself. Special thanks to **Anthony and Shaggy** – you guys are rockstars! **King Julian and Omario** on the snorkel squad were very entertaining and definitely made sure everyone had a great experience, from getting everyone's attention when a sea turtle was spotted to giving us food to feed the hungry fish. **Cheers to Shania**, one of the entertainment coordinators – your energy was absolutely contagious! And **Tracey**, our lovely maid, kept our room spotless and inviting – thank you for your attention to detail and hard work. We also want to recognize **Anthony the gardener**, who greeted us with a smile and song. Every staff member made us feel so welcome. To the entire Couples Swept Away crew – **thank you for an incredibly relaxing holiday.** We can’t wait to return!
