Assume vacation

Everything was perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much. Food was delicious and service was great. But sometimes we did not have enough beach towels in our room and had to call the room service. After all it was assume vacation!

First visit and can't wait to go back....AMAZING STAY!!

My husband and I recently stayed at Couples Swept Away, and it exceeded all of our expectations, and more. We’re already looking forward to going back. It’s easy to see why they have so many repeat guests. Check-in was quick and seamless, and we were escorted to our room right away. The beach completely took our breath away, the water was a stunning turquoise blue, and the sand was incredibly soft with no rocks at all. We loved taking long walks along the shore and spent most of our time there because it was just that beautiful. The resort has two pool areas, both very nice, but the beach was the highlight for us. We also really appreciated how easy it was to find lounge chairs, even later in the morning, whether in the sun or shade and close to the water...something that’s often a challenge at other resorts. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We stayed on the third floor above Patois Patio and had a lovely view of the ocean, beach, and sunsets. I could not hear any noise from the other rooms around. The food across the resort was fantastic, everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. There wasn’t a single meal we didn’t enjoy. We also took advantage of the included activities and especially loved the snorkeling and sunset catamaran cruise...both were so much fun and definitely worth doing. A special thank you to Kimberly, who kept our room spotless and surprised us daily with beautiful towel arrangements. I also want to mention Anthony, the gardener, who greeted me each morning on my way to or from the gym. He was so friendly and welcoming, and you can see how much care he puts into keeping the grounds looking lush and beautiful, he truly brightened my mornings. All of the staff, from the restaurants to the bars, were warm, upbeat, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. This was exactly the relaxing getaway we were hoping for, and we can’t wait to return.

Amazing trip!

We came for our wedding/honeymoon! It was such an amazing trip! Everyone was so friendly and the food was amazing especially the chicken! Loved the beef and chicken patties at the scotch bonnet (grill by the swim up bar)! The piano bar karaoke is so much fun as well! Kadie at the coffee bar is the best! Definitely recommend doing the catamaran and glass bottom boat rides very fun and entertaining! Best beach I’ve been to and the water is just amazing and so relaxing! I am sad to be leaving but leaving with so many great memories! We will definitely be back! Already have a trip planned for next year! I’ve been to quite a few all inclusive resorts and this has been my favorite!

Peace be the journey

Thanks to Marvin at the Piano/Aura Bar, Llavorn at the swim up pool bar, Kadie at the coffe bar and Neisha for taking care of our room. Stayed in 4223 beach front. Spectacular views. Our first time, got a massage at the spa, highly recommend. Great sunsets every night. All staff everywhere were so friendly and welcoming. Just say thank you and be patient, be on island time. Say “no thanks” to the beach vendors, remember the sunscreen. I lost my voice by the second night at the piano bar lol.

This resort could be so much better

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

My wife and I came here for our 30th wedding anniversary and this was our takeaway. Location -- Come on now, you can't beat Negril's beaches. Atmosphere -- One of the reasons we booked this resort is because they come across as a place that's quitter (not a party place). I'm all for having a good time but this resort seemed a bit more party friendly than we thought. Wasn't a deal breaker though. We did not like that people smoked anywhere on the beach and the staff did not enforce the designated smoking areas. Room -- We decided that because this was a special trip we would splurge and get a Premium Beachfront Suite (room 2235). The first disappointment was we were under the impression that all of these rooms were on the first floor and opened right to the beach. We were suppressed when we were taken to a 2nd floor room. The room is dated and needs updating for the price you pay. There are no windows, just screens and wood louvers to close. The room never really cooled down and hear all the outside noise. If you are a light sleeper, then this room is not for you. The large veranda was by far the best part of the room. Also, seems silly that you have to fill out a card for your mini bar to be restocked. Cleanliness -- We were vert disappointed that every morning when we would go to the beach that it was still dirty from the night before. The sand wasn't raked, chairs all over the place and food plates still around. We didn't mind the saving of chairs because we are morning people so would go down and save spots but also stay there all day. We did see though that good spots were saved and people didn't come back till 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I also went to the bathroom at the buffet breakfast one morning for there to be someone's vomit in the sink from the night before. Food -- I enjoyed the food but my wife didn't so we're split on this one. Feather and Lemongrass were amazing but the reservation policy they have is stupid. We could not make another reservation while one was on the books. We went to Patois Patio one morning for breakfast and waited an hour for our food (order still was wrong after the hour). The fruit was terrible. Drinks & bars -- Unimpressed. The drinks were on the weak side and service was mediocre at best No lemons, limes or mint all week. Cups look they're original ones from when the resort opened. Beach service is nonexistent. How do they run out of Ting when it's their own soft drink in Jamaica? To wrap it up -- This resort could be much better with some updating, policy changes and enforcement of the policies that already exist. Our trip didn't feel all that special for the price paid to a higher end resort. We both agree that we would no go back or recommend to anyone.
