We LOVE Couples Swept Away. Located on the gorgeous Seven Mile Beach in Negril this amazing all-inclusive, adults only resort will steal your heart. The beach is rated one of the best beaches in the world for good reason. The super soft sand, the crystal clear water and the absence of seaweed make this beach absolutely perfect. The grounds at the resort are lush and tropical with beautiful flowers and palms everywhere. The staff, food and drinks are all amazing too. We had a garden view room but could still partially see the ocean from our balcony. We attended their Lobster Night for dinner one night and went to the Repeater Gourmet Dinner for returning guests another evening. We also took advantage of their complimentary Catamaran Sunset Cruise to the Negril Cliffs and enjoyed the sights such as Rick's Café and of course the stunning Negril sunset. I can honestly say this is my all time favorite beach and can't wait to get back to it again someday.

Our week at Couples Swept Away was amazing! Even though we went during the off season, the staff, amenities and food were top shelf. Our dinner at Feathers was made extra special by Joshshia, our fantastic server. We both had the beef tenderloin, and it was delicious. We had great service at the swim up bar by both Shanna and Timroy. The sports facilities were tge best we've ever seen at an all-inclusive resort, and Donovan and Stephen made sure we were updated on all the classes and activities!

This was our third vacation at Couples Swept Away in as many years, so I’ll be brief with the boring details. The room was outstanding as always. Room 4322. The food was fine. A slight drop from previous stays, but still among the best all inclusive food we’ve ever had. I’ll admit, we did miss the snapper sandwich a lot. Put it back on the Scotch Bonnet lunch menu please. Do the pools need some work? Sure. Is everything perfect? No. Is it still pretty dang great? Absolutely. There are many reasons we return each year, and that beach is a big player in the decision. But the main reason is the people. The Swept Away staff, who often go unacknowledged, are always so incredibly awesome. The increase from a four-star rating to a five is because of (and I know I’m going to misspell some of these names) Shaunna Kaye, Jodianne, Shevon, Tyrice, Mervelyn, Ocea, Harle, and that young man working an internship, Juvon. There are others, like the other lady who worked the martini bar who was so great. I tried to remember all the names. Each year we go to Couples Swept Away for the beach and the resort. That much is true. We love the place. We love the staff far more. We love seeing our staff who have become friends over past visits, miss the ones who are off due to it being the low season, and always enjoy getting acquainted with staff we are meeting for the first time. See you all again in approximately 50 weeks!

Overall, our experience at Couples Swept Away was just okay. This was our fourth all-inclusive (we’ve stayed at Secrets, Dreams, and Breathless), and it definitely didn’t compare. Pros: • The reservation-only restaurants were both very good. Lemon Grass had great ambience, service, and solid dishes like Pad Thai and sweet & sour pork ribs. Feathers was equally enjoyable, with good beef tenderloin and salmon cakes. • The beach is gorgeous — warm, crystal clear water on 7-mile beach. • The snorkeling excursion (included) was a highlight. We saw a sea turtle, lots of fish, and even fed them — very cool. • The Wednesday night steel drum group was unique and fun. • Quiet and peaceful atmosphere overall. • Felt relatively safe, even with vendors frequently offering marijuana or massages. • Cocktails were good, and top-shelf liquor is included (though you do have to ask for it). Cons: • Food variety: Outside the two reservation restaurants, options were limited. The Palms was the only sit-down option without a reservation, and the buffet was minimal. Some food was decent (the pork loin and desserts stood out), but much of it was mediocre. Seeing meatloaf reused from lunch on a cold platter at dinner was off-putting. Compared to other resorts, the buffet and variety really fell short. • Pools: Run-down and in need of maintenance. Chipped tiles, worn edges, and the swim-up bar had dead bees scattered around — not appealing. • Rooms: The room was fine overall — good A/C, nice balcony, comfortable bed — but dated. Covers were rough, and several times we noticed a sewage smell from the bathroom. That was a big negative. • Service: Mixed. Some staff were friendly and helpful, others seemed bored, disinterested, or standoffish. Service speed varied from good to slow. • Transportation: The transfer took us 2 hours and 20 minutes from the airport. A party bus with drinks and snacks would’ve made it more bearable. • Price: For the cost (more than the Secrets nearby), we expected better food variety, updated pools, and more consistent service. Overall: For the first half of our stay we were disappointed — mostly due to food and room issues. The last two dinners helped redeem things, but overall the resort didn’t live up to the price point or the reputation. If you want a quiet beach, simple vibe, and don’t mind limited dining, you might enjoy it. But if you’re looking for a polished all-inclusive with variety and consistent service, I’d recommend looking at other options in Negril.

We stayed at couples swept away for three weeks from 21st of July to the 11th of August. We flew with virgin and arrived at Montego Bay airport at 7 30pm. This is our tenth time to Jamaica and the first time we had such a late arrival but it was perfect. Before we knew it we were in the couples lounge waiting for our bus to take us to the hotel. We were the only ones on the bus. We arrived at the resort at 9 30 pm and check-in was fast and efficient. We booked an atrium suite we were in room 2227. It was perfect. Close to the beach with views of the beach through the trees. The beach is absolutely beautiful one of the main reasons we came back. The hotel was low capacity so was never a problem finding your perfect spot. As stated in previous reviews the vendors can become a pain. Compared to previous stays here we will say we felt they were more persistent with hassling you. We felt they were able to come closer to your beds this year which can be quite annoying when you are on your holiday just wanting to chill. We understand they need to make a living but it did become quite annoying by the end of the three weeks. Food was lovely. Feathers was our favourite where the service was excellent. We ordered breakfast to our room four times during our stay and only received it twice Our mini bar was not filled 5 times during our stay. They run out of juices a few times and hot chocolate at the coffee shop. On our last day we went to the reception and asked if we could have a late checkout of our room as we were not leaving the resort till 4pm. The lady at the desk said we could get it at a discounted price of 50 dollars if we paid cash. We agreed as we didn’t want to be sitting around for five hours before a 9 hour flight. When we left our room at three our maid and another male was waiting for us to leave our room so it could be cleaned. When we got halfway to reception we realised we had left our cigarettes in the room so went back to the room and they were gone. When we asked the staff in our room they said they hadn’t seen them. We were quite disappointed with this as we showed our appreciation to our maid every day even though this is a no tipping resort. Once on our bus journey back to the airport we picked up another couple from couples negril We got chatting and they said they got late checkout for no fee. We paid 50 dollars cash so work that one out for yourself. Another disappointment. Bearing in mind we didn’t arrive to our room till 930 pm when we arrived surely ours should have been no charge surely all couples resorts have the same policies. Overall we had a lovely stay and the few gripes will not deter us from returning we will just be more mindful I guess.
