Sandals Ochi

overall our vacation was very relaxing.some of the service in the restaurants was lacking a bit. sometimes it was difficult to get a ride up the hill to the villa. Most people were very friendly and nice. We have been coming to this Sandals since 2001 and will keep coming back.

We just returned from 9 days at this resort. Overall we had a nice time but I would not repeat again. This is a very large and difficult resort to navigate. We stayed in a butler room with semi private pool. It was the best part of the vacation. Upon arrival we met our butlers. One of the first things we were told was “you take care of us and we will take care of you” referring to the tip they expected at the end of our stay. Regarding the front desk staff, daytime staff had fabulous people skills and genuinely cared for guests, we were staying on the Hillside. Evening front desk staff was totally the opposite, rude and uncaring. We encountered this 3 times. Unbelievable for a Sandals resort. Food was very hit or miss. The good was fabulous but evening dinner at Vista Sky was subpar. Room service was fabulous the first three days and then all but disappeared. Room service food was lovely and on time. However, getting someone to come and take the dishes even using the tool they give to alert them failed many times. Sometimes the dishes from lunch remained there overnight. The good parts were really good and the bad just marred the good times. The Hop drivers and all transport driver were great. Try a Pink Panther drink while visiting.

Honestly the most amazing time. People always say, why go to a resort halfway across the world if you can just stay in one 2 hours away? And normally i agree. But Sandals Ochi Rios has changed my mind. The staff make this holiday. You don’t walk past a single person without them saying hello, or good morning, or without them commenting on your shuffleboard technique. Kayan is the most wonderful singer I’ve ever heard live, and I’ve had the privilege of listening to the lovely billy Joel so that’s saying something. She is absolutely lovely and has the voice of an angel to match. Jamar made the entire experience of Kimonos worth while, still remembering our names a week later. Such a lovely man. And Romario, although lying about his snooker skills to make us seem better than we are, was so welcoming and friendly and allowed us to win pool for the sake of our egos. 10/10. Best time ever. And as the Jamaicans say, there’s never any problems. Only situations. Yeah man. Bumbaclart.

10/10 food and very welcoming. Service is good & the drinks are nice. Patrice from the entertainment made us feel welcome and is rapid with the drinks.

Incredible trip for our honeymoon. We have been to quite a few sandal resorts over the last 5 years but this was for our honeymoon. Sandals ochi was fantastic value for money m, we got an excellent deal through the British sandals team. On arrival we were greeted with smooth service as usual. Our room was superbly with a fantastic view. Waking up to the Caribbean Sea and sun every morning was magical. We had our breakfast on the balcony that was excellent. Highlights were aqua aerobics, the events teams (the best singers at any sandals resort!), pool volleyball, the hillside pool was fun and lively, the beach was calm and relaxed! Evenings were fab, good hotspots as usual were Soy, jerk shack, I particularly loved the Caribbean food at the manor restaurant. Sandals Ochi is an older resort but the staff make the atmosphere so friendly and welcoming. We had a fantastic massage with G-Pat and team - would recommend! Jamaica has had a very challenging 12 months but the people here are incredible, this is our home away from home! One love, one people!
