My family and I had a wonderful time. The hotel rooms are so clean and spacious. The property is absolutely beautiful and maintained in a natural environment along with all the animals. There is plenty of food options for everyone. The pool is wonderful although we spent more time at the beautiful beach. Erik G near the beach entrance was so helpful in booking us an all day excursion of zip lining and more - was an amazing all day adventure that we’d do again for sure. Overall we absolutely enjoyed our vacation and fell in love with Costa Rica.

Went in July for a family vacation. The hotel was clean, and food was good. Plenty of food options. The hotel also had fun daily activities for guests. Pool and beach were refreshing. We used Erik G (blue Google shirt) for a waterfall excursion that was enjoyed by everyone in our group. He was a good coordinator and communicator. Overall, I would recommend the Westin Reserva Conchal.

We (my husband + 18 year old son) had an incredible stay at the Westin Playa Conchal. We booked a club level suite so we were in the adults only area. It was spectacular! This area affords you an entirely separate living area - two guest buildings surrounding a gorgeous pool w/swim-up bar and beautifully landscaped lounging areas with plenty of shade and cabanas, plus an exclusive clubhouse with seating areas and stocked with food & beverage of all kinds In the adults-only area you are assigned a concierge who is available to answer questions, solve any issues, and drive you anywhere you want to go in the resort. Our concierge, Pablo, was SO kind, attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable, and he made our stay so comfortable. The resort is large and can feel overwhelming at first and so having Pablo there was really helpful. The all-inclusive aspect of the resort is great, and the food is very good. My son is an omnivore and my husband and I typically eat a vegan diet, and there were always at least a few vegetarian options (not necessarily vegan) at all of the dining options. The restaurants are all fun and different. There is no reservation system which was fine for us because we were flexible - if there was a wait we went to a bar to wait. We had no little kids to try to entertain. But I can imagine that for a family trying to be on a schedule that might be rough sometimes. In addition to the restaurants, there are all sorts of other food options available all day long. They have wood-fired pizzas and BBQ at the family pool during the day. In the adults only area they also have barbecue during the day with grilled meats, lobster and fresh fish, veggies and rice. There are also waiters offering food and drink at your lounge chair all day long, and room service is FREE. In the adults-only clubhouse they put appetizers out around Happy Hour. Plus the clubhouse has a self-serve bar all day long with beer, wine, and liquor. You will never go hungry (or thirsty) at this resort! The resort is large and can seem overwhelming when you first arrive but you quickly learn the lay of the land. It is totally walkable but there are golf carts zooming all over the place if you don't feel like walking. The resort itself is beautiful - lots of wide paved pathways through trees filled with monkeys, large iguanas, and cute unfamiliar brown squirrels. Families of coatis running around, too. Our room was very well maintained and the whole resort felt spotless. There were always people tending to the landscaping and the buildings to keep it beautiful, but they are deferential to you when you walk by, always making sure that their work does not impact the guest. There were plenty of hotel activities during the day although we didn’t take advantage of any of them. We were either at the beach, the pool, playing ping pong, or on an excursion (ATVs, wave runners, ziplining, wildlife hiking with hanging bridges and rafting). Plenty of towels and chairs at the adults-only pool, so it never felt like we had to rush out to reserve anything. We just came and went as we pleased and it all worked out. The beach is beautiful and the water is usually pretty calm. There were young kids playing in the water independently so it’s definitely swimmable. There are no private beaches in Costa Rica so the entrance to the beach is a bit of a gauntlet filled with vendors selling souvenirs, massages, and excursion opportunities. There are also wave runner rentals which are nice when you want to do them but can get annoying if you are trying to find a quiet spot near the beach entrance. But once you get past all of the chaos at the entrance you can find a quiet spot - and there is shade from trees if you want. We were a little worried about visiting in August during the rainy season but we were there for 8 nights and it only rained the evening we arrived and for a couple hours on the evening before we left. The weather was sunny, hot and humid the rest of the time. I cannot stress enough how great the service was. Every single employee we encountered was focused on making sure we were happy and had what we wanted. The staff in the adults only area remained the same during our stay so we got to know them. All of our interactions were pleasant and fun. We booked through Costco so it felt very easy - airfare and hotel included, even a private (!) airport transfer (resort is about 1.5 hour drive from the airport). We also booked all of our excursions through the on-site Costco-affiliated representative once we arrived. It was all SO EASY and SO FABULOUS. Would do it the exact same way again in a heartbeat.

The food and drinks were great. We had room service and loved Mitra buffet which had a wide array of choices. I’d avoid pool bar food - just average. Awesome massages at green tent on beach- Sarah and Kelly.
