Currently at the end of our week long stay at this resort. Overall it’s been a great experience. The grounds are incredible and you get to see wildlife daily. The staff does a great job keeping everything clean and are always polite. The buffet is great, but the restaurants can be very hit or miss. One thing that was frustrating was the lack of food available near the pools. There are very few servers walking around taking orders, and the only option to grab a quick meal is a poolside grill that consistently only had 1 worker. This meant extremely long waits for a simple burger. He was doing the best he could, but needed more staff. The only other options for lunch are the buffet or restaurants which means having to pack up and leave the pool area. The beach here is great and there are local vendors selling items, offering massages, and booking excursions. We used Erik G in the blue google shirt for multiple excursions and he set us up with some amazing tours, I highly recommend him. The catamaran tour was the highlight of our trip. Overall the resort is great and has lots to offer, but the restaurant food could be improved.

The grounds of this hotel is amazing. It felt huge and everywhere you looked was lush vegetation. Loved how many animals we saw including monkeys, iguanas, and more. The room service was great! We are almost all of our meals as room service, and always loved it. The beach was great with hotel provided long chairs and umbrellas. There are also people selling things on the beach (not associated with the hotel) which I highly recommend you try! We did a wave runner ($90 for 30 mins) and had a massage ($20 for 30 mins). You can’t beat those massage prices! We had Sarah at the green table do ours. The rooms were always cleaned spotless every day! The employees were always very friendly and helpful! Such a wonderful resort and can’t wait to return!

We spent the 2nd half of our Costa Rican vacation at the Westin Conchal. It was amazingly nice! The lobby was welcoming and a shuttle took us and our luggage to our bungalow. The resort is quaint and primarily made up of 8 rooms to a building. Pathways to walk around/to the pool are surrounded by trees and landscape. We saw several Pizotes, Monkeys and Iguanas everyday! The pool was great and there were multiple activities during the day for families and kids- bingo, water aerobics, water polo, occasionally popcorn & cotton candy, a ping pong tournament, etc. The pool bar was well stocked with great bartenders! The restaurants often had long waits in the evening, so we would try somewhere else or just do the buffet. The app was often misleading on times/locations for the restaurants hours and activities. It rained every night and would have been great if there was an indoor facility for the activities/shows or just to sit and hang out. The beach was ok, very hard and full of crushed shells towards the right but soft and pretty on a short walk to the left. The resort sits in a nice cove, so while public, was very private. We wanted to take advantage of the kayaks but they said they aren’t allowed for kids under 17 (even if we had one adult with a kid). Rooms were nice, we had a pull out sofa bed and 2 double beds. There was quite a bit of storage in the closet but also a lot of unused space in the bathroom. The light switches are outside the bathroom which made using it at night a challenge to keep everyone from being blinded by unexpected light. As an American, I was prepared to tip and did not see many others tipping. Very different experience than my other trips to different countries where most people would tip. Overall, 5 stars though and we would love to return!

Arriving at westin conchal felt like stepping into a hidden oasis. The resort is beautifully designed to blend with nature, offering breathtaking views of the bay and lush tropical surroundings. The staff was incredible always attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The nearby beaches are quiet and crystal-clear, perfect for swimming, kayaking, or just unwinding with a drink in hand. We loved exploring the different coves and watching the sunsets every evening felt magical. We used Issys Tours Costa Rica for our transfer, and they made everything so easy. The airport transfer was flawless our driver was already waiting for us with a friendly smile and helpful local recommendations. The ride to the resort was comfortable, clean, and relaxing, giving us time to take in the beauty of Guanacaste without any stress.
