Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel

A luxury experience during my stay at the Blue Diamond Hotel was undoubtedly a truly luxurious one. The amenities are top-notch, everything is very comfortable and surrounded by nature. The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious, and the spa is extremely relaxing.

As someone who travels extensively throughout Cancun and the Riviera Maya, I feel compelled to share an honest review for travelers considering this resort, especially since the overall reviews are mixed. Despite marketing itself as a luxury experience, this property is, at best, a three-star resort that is visibly run-down and poorly maintained. The disconnect between the branding, pricing, and the actual condition of the resort is significant. The main road/path through the property is in serious disrepair, with numerous holes and broken sections. It feels like a major liability issue and is not something you would ever encounter at a resort claiming luxury status. Pool and beach loungers are in extremely poor condition — sagging, worn, and frankly embarrassing for a resort in this price category. Railings throughout the property, particularly near the main pool and restaurant areas, are broken, splintered, and heavily worn, giving the entire resort a neglected feel. To echo what many previous reviewers have said, this property simply does not meet the standards it advertises. What’s most disappointing is the pricing parity with actual five-star resorts in the region. For the same cost, you can stay at properties that are meticulously maintained, thoughtfully designed, and deliver true luxury service and amenities. If you are accustomed to high-end resorts in this area, this will be a letdown on nearly every level. Save your money and choose elsewhere — there are far better options at the same price point.

Amazing staff!! What we enjoyed the most was the peaceful atmosphere: so much quiet and relaxation, perfect for switching off and truly unwinding. The food was great, beautifully prepared and full of flavour.

The service is definitely the highlight of this hotel! warm, attentive, and truly efficient. From the very first moment, you feel genuinely cared for. The setting is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush nature that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout the stay.

The food is à la carte. There isn’t a lot of variety, but everything we tried was good and fresh, which we really appreciated. Customer service is definitely one of the hotel’s strongest points. The staff is very kind and friendly, and we would especially like to mention Jenny, Erick, Dayana, and Rubén for their warm attention. This is a small property, so it doesn’t feel like a massive, noisy resort. It only has two small restaurants and a snack bar in the afternoon, but we never had any trouble finding a place to sit. The spa is excellent and a great option if you’re just looking to relax. The only downside is that they only offer water, no other beverages. Even though the hotel is small, the property itself is quite large, so you do end up walking a lot. You can use bicycles (although sometimes none are available) or request a golf cart, but it usually takes several minutes to arrive. Room cleanliness wasn’t bad, but it could definitely be improved. It would also be fantastic if the outdoor bathtub could be filled with hot water, as that would really enhance the experience.
