We gave Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel five stars because it delivered exactly what we were looking for: something completely different from the typical mega-resort experience. This is a tucked-away property where you genuinely feel part of the surrounding jungle and mangroves. If you’re expecting large crowds, constant activity, or a highly manicured resort, this isn’t it, and that’s precisely the point. The setting is lush, dense, and full of vegetation, with plenty of walking paths (both paved and natural) that make it easy to feel immersed in nature. We stayed in a lagoon-view room, which was a highlight. The room itself was a good size, clean, and comfortable, and the view over the water was calm and relaxing. There is some visible deferred maintenance—nothing major, but enough to notice. That said, it never detracted from our stay. The beach is a nice size, though during our visit the sargassum was particularly heavy. That’s not the resort’s fault, but it’s worth noting for timing if you’re planning a trip to this region. The pool area is on the smaller side, but it fits the tone of the resort perfectly. It’s quiet, uncrowded, and easy to enjoy. We never had an issue finding chairs, and it was always peaceful. Food was excellent across the board. Everything is plated, no buffets, which elevates the experience. The standout was Ambar, which felt more upscale and delivered some of the best meals of the trip. The only minor note is that we (I) occasionally missed having a breakfast buffet, even a small one, just for convenience. Service was consistently strong. Staff were friendly, attentive, and easy to interact with throughout the stay. We didn’t participate in any excursions or spa services, but we also never felt bored or like anything was missing. From a value standpoint, it felt fair for what we paid, especially given the uniqueness of the setting. Two things worth mentioning: * There is significant new construction immediately next door for what appears to be a large resort. Hopefully it won’t take away from the secluded, nature-focused feel once completed. * While daily upkeep is handled well, it doesn’t appear that long-term maintenance or capital improvements are a major focus at the moment. Bottom line: we would absolutely return when we’re looking to slow things down. It would also be a great option to pair with a more lively resort stay at another point in the same trip.

This is a wonderful resort for peace, tranquillity, rest, ecological life, and food. The rooms are spacious and comfortable- the bathrooms and shower wonderful. The beach has sargassum (if you expect it, you won’t be disappointed). You can walk far on the beach in both directions. The staff is exceptionally friendly.

I had an incredible stay at Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the property felt peaceful, private, and beautifully immersed in nature. We stayed in a cenote lagoon suite, and the room itself was absolutely stunning, spacious, unique, and seamlessly integrated into the natural surroundings. The grounds throughout the resort are exceptional, with lush jungle pathways, tranquil water features, and unique spaces like the cenote and patios that make exploring the property an experience in itself. What truly sets this resort apart is the people. The staff were absolutely outstanding—consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our stay special. Every interaction felt personal and thoughtful, and their level of care and service truly elevated the entire experience. The meals were also spectacular, with consistently high quality, creativity, and presentation. That said, the air conditioning situation needs to be addressed. In the cenote lagoon suites (400–500 series), the rooms did not cool effectively. Our room remained around 28.5°C for the first four nights, which made restful sleep very difficult. We were relocated, and while the temperature improved to around 24°C, it still wasn’t ideal. It was also noticeable that other areas of the resort (such as the 600s, Diamond suites, and Casitas) appeared to have proper air conditioning, which made the inconsistency stand out even more. In our case, this wasn’t just about comfort it impacted recovery, as I was travelling with a casted arm and the prolonged heat made rest challenging, and it took several days to fully recover after returning home. There is currently construction adjacent to the resort; however, we did not find it disruptive to our stay. We also attended the Mayan Heritage dinner, which was a standout experience—immersive, beautifully done, and truly memorable. Overall, this is an exceptional resort with a unique blend of luxury, nature, and curated experiences. With consistent and effective climate control across all room categories, it would easily be a flawless experience. I would still highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful and memorable getaway.

Spend two fabulous weeks at Blue Diamond! Loved our room and back yard! The atmosphere and jungle like surroundings were magical and serene! The food was like no other resort, absolutely fabulous! MOST of ALL the staff! From the gardeners, leaf blowers, front desk! April, Ivonne Natalie! superb! Edwin who stocked our room with drinks, so sweet to us. I had a medical emergency the first week I was there (great now) Yasir took full control of the situation with such love and kindness, called an ambulance and I was cared for in my room. Being in another country could have been a bit frightening! I only felt loving kindness! The restaurant family❤️ To start, Roberto Avila, made sure I got food to my room, until I felt better! He check on us both everyday to see if we needed anything! Talk about above and beyond! The entire restaurant staff treated us like family both my husband and myself, each one asked if I was ok. If I forgot a name please forgive me, here goes…Luis Pat, Francisco, Rodolfo, Antonio, , Ximena, Ana, Jenny, Dago, Madai! And Julio♥️. The ENTIRE staff made this the best vacation ever! Can’t wait to return! Thank you ALL
