Guadalupe in the spa has magic hands. The relaxation message was much needed and she delivered. She is very professional and sweet. So great that I ended up having another message with her before I returned home.

this may be lengthy as we stayed for 28 days but there is a lot to review. 1st - checkin - we arrived 9:00 pm and had booked a preferred stay, were immediately taken to the checkin area and within 5 minutes had a drink in hand and on the way to our room, bags delivered 5 minutes later. Service - could not have been better, we have been to many resorts throughout mexico and the carribean and we both agree that the people and the service were by far the best we have ever experienced. From Natalie and Karen who I believe are managers, to beach and pool concierges ( Franceso, Erick and Roberto) who are among the hardest working people I have ever met, to the fantastic bar and wait staff throughout the resort and of course housekeeping who never failed to clean our room at the same time everyday, down to even security who knew our room number everytime we left the resort and returned, amazing. Restaurants - 28 days and we never had a bad meal. Oceania was probably our favourite, but Seaside Grill for steak or fish, Portafino for Italian, were also very good. Even the preferred lounge puts out a small buffet for quick breakfasts, lunches or dinners which is great for those days when you may not be very hungry and want to eat and run. The hotel - grounds are spotless and the hotel is very clean, you see people constantly going around cleaning public washrooms, cleaning pools, raking beaches or picking up food trays and other trash left behind by guests. Of course with all the good there are bound to be some short comings. 1) There is no place to sit and enjoy a quite evening drink. My wife thought it would be easy to place 3 or 4 tables outside Oceania in the evening as there is a bar right there and it is a quiet spot. 2) The preferred pool could be adults only. There is a small section of the pool near the swim up bar that is posted as adults only, however with 1 small sign on a bridge and kids constantly follow their parents into this area and it is up to the concierges to notify them but some parents are either clueless or just don't care and refuse to tell the kids to leave the area. Perhaps more signage could help but that was among my biggest peeves. If these are the biggest issues you can see that this resort is a very good place to vacation. Would we return again ? definitely, from the people to the quality of the food and resort in general to the safe and accessible Aventuras area it has earned a place on our must return list.

I want to be very clear: the frontline staff at Dreams Puerto Aventuras are amazing. The servers, bartenders, waiters, housekeeping, and general staff genuinely try hard, go above and beyond, and do their best to make guests feel welcome. Unfortunately, they are being completely failed by management. This is one of the worst-managed resorts I have experienced across Dreams, Secrets, and other Hyatt properties we stayed at several dozen of times. The hotel markets itself as a five-star resort, but the management, maintenance, amenities, and basic service infrastructure feel nowhere near that level. It feels like a 3 star resort in Cuba. For multiple days, the bars had no juice available. Not one bar — multiple bars. Guests and even staff were running around from bar to bar trying to find basic mixers. The tequila selection was almost entirely rail-level liquor, with no reasonable mid-tier options available. For a resort claiming to be five-star, this is unacceptable. The issues continue throughout the property. Beach lounge chairs are broken. The room phone does not work. The scale in the room does not work. We called multiple times for basic service and nothing was resolved. Requests to speak with a manager went nowhere. No manager appeared, no one followed up, and no one seemed accountable. The most frustrating part is that the staff clearly care. They are trying their best, but they have no support from management. The people actually serving guests are left to apologize, scramble, and cover for problems that are clearly caused by poor leadership and lack of attention to detail. This could be a great hotel. The location is nice, and the staff are wonderful. But the management team is completely failing both the guests and their own employees. This is not a five-star experience. At best, it feels like a poorly managed three-star resort with hardworking staff trying to hold it together. Hyatt/Dreams leadership should take a serious look at this property, because the current management team is damaging the brand. Save yourselves the trouble and go to Barcelo next door which has none of these issues.

The Good: - Super clean resort... even the general use bathrooms were spotless - Food is very good (Gohan, The Porto Fino, World Cafe- all very good) - We stayed in room 355- beautiful view, super clean - Staff were FANTASTIC- helpful, friendly and fun! - The Spa was SPECTACULAR!!! Beautiful, relaxing, clean. - The Preferred Club pool area and swim up bar is gorgeous The Okay: - The pool area needs more umbrellas - The pool could be cleaner- we even tried the Preferred Club pool and the pool filters didn't feel like they were getting the bird poop, leaf debris cleared - There is no ocean access, the ocean lagoon is meh - The bus ride there can take up to 2+ hours - Only giving a Good rating as pools and beaches are a big selling feature for me Make sure you walk into the small town, it's super pretty with live music and lots of great little stores. You feel very safe at this Dreams Resorts and the surrounding area.

My aunt and I wanted to experience a spa day at a resort for the first time together and it was amazing! We started with the sauna and steam room which was great. Then we were led into a nice relaxing room where they put cucumbers on our eyes with a cold cloth and just let us lay and relax for about 10-15 mins. Then we went into the hydrotherapy area where we stepped into the cold plunge which was wild and then we went into the warm pool with all these different kinds of water therapy options. It was lovely. After all of that we had our full body relaxation massage which was 50 mins. The lady I had was named Guadalupe and she was excellent. So soft spoken and gentle yet firm while massaging. I felt comfortable and safe and most importantly relaxed! My aunt had a lady called Yesenia which she said was excellent too. We got a special offer from the resort to save some money on it so we paid about $150 USD each which included the aloe treatment we got, the rest of the bottle and my aunt got a free gift which was a bottle of tequila. The atmosphere was clean, relaxing spa vibes. At the end of it all we were brought to a separate room to relax and unwind with tea and cookies. The overall experience was amazing and I would definitely recommend it!
