We visited the Dreams Aventuras resort on 12/2/25-12/7/25. We had high hopes for this resort after visiting Dreams Jade in July. We were pleased with the Staff overall, however it was a let down for most of the other areas. The food was the biggest let down. There were inconsistencies throughout the stay. The food was cool when receiving it at most of the restaurants. We went to the buffet for breakfast shortly after it opened on one of the days and it was already cold. We went to El Patio 2 of the nights and on one night the food was good, but on the next, we walked out hungry due to the quality. As for the Preferred area, the view from our 6th floor Ocean Front room was great. The other amenities however were a bit of a let down. The preferred part of the beach was no different than the non-preferred. Same chairs both on the beach and at the pools. There was only 2 days the bar opened at the beach in the preferred section. When looking at the preferred pool, I was comparing it to Dreams Jade where at Jade they had cushioned loungers, which felt like value for the extra you pay. At Aventuras you do not get that. There were a couple items on the poolside menus that you could get in comparison to the non-preferred area. The Spa service was great that we had, but we found out later that you can talk them down in pricing if you wait for the staff to come to you. We knew we wanted the service so we made the mistake of scheduling at the spa and not trying to talk them down. Overall value of preferred was not as good as Jade was. I would recommend Jade for restaurant and overall facilities. If you are a foodie, this is not your resort.

It was a great experience, Uriel was a great entertainer. He made the volleyball games fun and axcited to play. However, I couldn't find much of a veriety of seafood dishes. I wish they could add more dishes that would include shrimp and fish.

We had a blast at the Dreams Aventura. Uriel was very entertaining. Only thing is food at restaurants took a little to long and wish they had more seafood options.

Vacation started off at the Tulum airport which is an hour away via car or sprinter van; buses take 2+hours to get there! This is a gated community of a couple resorts and private condos (which are owned by American, Europeans and Canadians - as the locals tell us)! Very safe to travel around the area at any time! All non working locals must leave area a certain times! For the resort I expected so much more as this was rated very close to 5 stars! It is NOT! It is more or less a 3 star resort and very similar to Cuba resorts in my opinion! Lack of expertise on finishes, broken furniture and the beach chairs are ridiculous! You would expect a resort to have enough chairs to accommodate each guest but they have at most 100 beach chairs and that’s being on the high side! The room smelled so bad of septic mixed with seaweed! It was embedded in our clothes! Only 1 plug worked in our room and I had to call for a blow dryer! The beach was terrible! Hard compacted dirt with a very thin layer of rocky sand! The water is murky and you can’t see anything snorkeling! The public beach(which is 400m away) was so much nicer and cleaner! The food was lacking in everything unless you can tolerate Mexican spice! I asked at every meal what spice was used and they all said “no spice!” My stomach begs to differ! You either had half cooked eggs all slimy or burned eggs! The sausages were always cold! The other restaurants were ok! At best! Don’t go here if you enjoy eating or swimming in the ocean waves! Because of this trip, I will never return to Mexico for vacation! Not worth the money we spent!
