Grand Velas Riviera Maya

We recently went on a family trip and stayed at Grand Velas in Riveria Maya, Mexico. Our trip was amazing! Jeronimo and Nicholas were our personal concierge team. They made our experience unforgettable as they provided us with extraordinary care and service. They were attentive to our small children and were extremely warm and friendly. They placed our reservations, room service meals, arrange luggage pick up and were always their to support our every need. Our daughter lost her tooth and they made her feel so special by bringing her a special gift. Our son is a huge fan of toy story and when we returned to the room after lunch, there was an awesome bubble bath filled with toy story characters in his bath waiting or him. They exceed our expectations. The resort itself was exceptionally clean. The grounds of the resort reminds me for pure paradise. If you are an animal lover, there was a bunch of wildlife to see. The food was delicious and the rooms were spacious. This resort thought of every detail from the robes, slippers, beach bags, etc. The only downside was the beach was filled with seaweed, so we didn't get a clear water experience, which didn't dampen the trip at all. We had a blast and are dying to revisit. We shall return soon.

Wow where do I start?? This place left us speechless! Throughout our entire stay we felt like royalty! It all started when we arrived and greeted by our phenomenal concierge Nicolas, who took us to our upgraded room in grand class (original reservation was in zen grand), oceanfront with our very own plunge pool. Every single thought had been put into the room from our own beach bag to use during the stay, to bath bombs to enjoy the in room jacuzzi, and much more. Unfortunately when we arrived we quickly noticed that the breast pump I had brought with me was not working. I would have gotten very sick if Nicolas and Jeronimo had not gone out of their way to arrange someone to go and purchase a breast pump for us off the resort. They send us pictures so we could choose and then brought the pump of our choosing straight to our room, shortly after we had requested it. Then the rest was pure bliss. I have to say that the beach was not swimmable because of the amount of seaweed, however that’s all due to how we as humans are destroying this world. Nevertheless the resort had employees work around the clock to try and clean as much seaweed off the shore as possible. The resort was impeccably clean, the service was out of this world, kids activities and the catering to kids and families was unmatched. They have freaking menu items for all ages beginning from newborn, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months; I’ve never seen that anywhere!! Now let’s get to the most important part, the food, holy cow the food, no words… The food and service was out of this world!!!! That’s one of the main reasons we chose this resort and it blew our expectations out of the water!! For lunch and breakfast the Bistro was by far our favorite. By the time we left the staff had become like family. Ray (Raymundo) was the kindest soul, incredibly generous, incredibly professional, super attentive and overall incredible! Not to mention the rest of the staff at the Bistro, the chef came out personally to greet us, Jazmin the manager was so courteous and kind, and Daniela greeted us always with the outmost respect and kindness. Like I said, these people became like family by the end of our trip. They even prepared a little “bon voyage” cake for us on our last day. Their kindness brought tears to my eyes. We cannot wait to come back here one day, even though the first trip we were barely able to afford. But you do get your money’s worth and then some. We loved this place and its people more than we could have ever imagined. Thank you Grand Velas and aloha!

Celebrated Independence Day at Grand Velos. Our personal concierge were Carolina Collada and Daniel Nava. They were fantastic responded to every requests quickly and professionally. Our favorite food was found in the Bistro daily. From the best pool side service with Jorge and Reyes to excellent dining with Samuel in the Bistro. Excellence in service at Grand Velos.

Our extended family of 10 (ages 78-7) just left Grand Velas after a memorable vacation celebrating my brother’s wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as the resort is top notch. Alfonso & Braulio took care of everything we needed during our stay. From stocking our room, getting sun protection, arranging activities and even getting a wheelchair one night! PSA to stay hydrated! Thank you to Humberto and Orlando for keeping our drinks cold by the pool. And to each server we had nightly. Highly recommend Cocina De Autor for an adults only meal. It was beyond fabulous! And the servers in the karaoke bar, Christian and Erica, were patient with our song choices and our bad voices! We will be back!

It is a beautiful resort and well kept. The staffs were very friendly. Definitely recommend the spa, one of the best we ever tried. Special big thank to our amazing concierge team Alfonso and Braulio. They went above and beyond to make our vacation extra special. My son loved the surprises they left in room for him!
