Hacienda Tres Rios

My wife and I take an annual trip to celebrate our birthdays together. We were previously members of Sunset in Cancún, this year we decided to book at Kimpton Tres Rios. We loved this experience so much that we transferred our membership to Tres Ríos. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional hotel staff and activities team elevated our stay to something truly special. Our first draw to choosing this resort was the activities, we loved the idea of not having to leave the resort. It was so relaxing that we would sign up to the tour daily. A daily kayaking journey through tranquil waters alongside my wife, brother, sister-in-law. We also took part in the biking cenotes tour. Leading us were our incredible guides Fatima, Miriam, Mimi, Alexander, and Alexis whose expertise, warmth, and love for the natural surroundings brought the adventure to life. Their attentiveness to safety, knowledge of the ecosystem, and spirited energy made every trip feel like a new discovery. From the river to the ocean was especially a memory we’ll cherish forever. This amazing crew weren't just our kayaking guides—they also led the poolside activities and brought an atmosphere of joy and inclusion. I was walking up from the beach to the pool and they remembered it was my birthday, and they surprised me with a birthday shot and had the DJ play “Las Mañanitas”, this was incredibly thoughtful and heartwarming. They made our trip feel truly personal and unforgettable. Also want mention to the fantastic housekeeping staff who kept our room spotless, fresh, and fully stocked each day. We absolutely admired the bartenders and their craft—Cesar, Limber, Victor, and Abel every drink we received was expertly crafted and delicious. Their recommendations were amazing and added another layer of enjoyment to our stay. The spa was the perfect touch and end to our trip— newly renovated it was a serene escape with one of the most relaxing massages I’ve ever had. Kudos to the ladies! If you’re looking for the perfect blend of hospitality, adventure, and relaxation, Kimpton Tres Ríos—is the place to be. ️

Had a fantastic time at Tres Rios with the wife! The services and food was great! I was there in March 2025 and going back in Sept 2025 and interested to see progress on remaining construction and upgrades. The upgrades that have been done since 2024 are very nice, especially the rooms. Sad Tres Rios does not have Coconut Scuba and Snorkeling tours directly on site any longer.

We had a fabulous time. The waiters at the pool did an outstanding job. Victor and mario especially. Catered to us like we were royalty. They made the trip even more fantastic. Our butlers also accommodated our every wish. Would highly recommend this resort- and im sure it will only get better after construction is finished.

This sense adventure was offered as an experience with our hotel. I went by myself with my husband and kids and actually ended up being the only person that day. It was a really unique and cool experience. I would describe it as an interactive meditation. I loved how different it was and how it allowed me to connect to present experience. I would definitely recommend it. I wouldn't recommend it for small kids as you do need to sit and keep your eyes closed and be calm and present and I think it would be tricky for them to do that. Experience is about 40 mins and I felt comfortable and safe.

We had an awesome family vacation at Tres Ríos June 14-21. The staff provided great service throughout our trip. The activities team did a great job and the schedule has something for the entire family all day and evening ever day. Special shout out to Alexis on the activity team for guiding our Cenotes kayak tour and leading a yoga session. Also, Hector in the breakfast restaurant does a fantastic job and is great with families. Daniel in concierge took care of all our needs and provided exceptional guest services. My daughter dropped a kids club craft over a railing to a non guest area and Daniel didn’t hesitate to go get it himself. We appreciate you Daniel!
