Entertainment staff at luxury resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 hours ago

The best entertainment staff at the best resort. Everyone was so attentive and so much fun. We took advantage of all the things and can truly say we enjoyed them all. Just having conversations with the staff was enjoyable too Ilse led a spinning class in the main pool. I had never done that before and he made it so fun. Jose took us on a kayak tour and told us about Mexico and another day him and ilse taught us to make dream catchers. Jasmin taught us how to salsa. We were the only ones in the class. She could have easily told us no but she did a little private lesson for us. Axel led an aqua aerobics class and made it fun! Later that day he showed us some magic tricks! Aranza chatted with us while making myself and sons some bracelets to take home. Great vacation!! With amazing food too!!!

Good for couples and friends,

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 17 hours ago

A great place with a great ambience for couples and friends. Not sure why its made Adults only. As its similar to any other beach resort which we see in Maldives or Bali etc, except for plenty of drinks all across the resort. Good supportive staff, nice location. Food is okay, no Indian options, good beverages and some of the signature drinks are good. Rooms are pretty spacious and well prepared.

5 star resort, 5 star people

The resort itself is stunning, and really well laid out. Easy to get around, yet lots of places to go and relax where you feel like you’re in your own little oasis. the pools at the secrets resort are all great, and there’s something for everyone. Lots of energy, games and live music at the main beach side pool. More of a social buzz at the sugar reef pool (also with a swim up bar), and a calmer more relaxed vibe at the lagoon and central pools. Sun beds at these pools can be tricky to find past a certain time in the morning. However I did notice that the pool staff do ask, and ensure, people are actually making good use of them rather than just throwing a towel on and disappearing for half the day. Good to see. The pools at impressions however are spectacular. Modern luxury with service to match. The bars are close by and friendly servers check in frequently to see if they can freshen up your drink of choice (and the choice is almost endless). I was never left for too long without a refreshing drink. The roof top pool is a little cooler than the others, and as it’s on the 9th floor of the building, it can get a bit breezy up there too. But on a hot day (which is most of them) it’s nice and refreshing, and doesn’t take too long to get used to the temperature. The impression main and beach club pools are a bit warmer which is nice to just slide in. The room was clean, well appointed, large and very comfortable. The mini bar is customised with your choice of beer and soft drinks, and there’s a small wine fridge with a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival too. There’s also a Nespresso coffee machine (the original kind, not the Vertuo) with pods, as well as premium bottled water and snacks too. All refreshed as you need them. Bathrooms are spacious, with a double vanity set up and plenty of space to put toiletries. The lights are a touch dim and my partner had a little trouble doing make up. Plus the doors to the W/C and shower are quite heavily sprung which could be an issue for those with disabilities (there may well be more suitable rooms in that case, but I didn’t check). There’s a very large hard tiled tub in the bathroom as well as on the balcony too. The restaurants are all really good, and again well staffed by friendly and conscientious servers. It’s clear they pay particular attention to food presentation as well as flavours, it’s almost a shame to eat the culinary works of art. As impression’s guests staying more than 5 nights I got the opportunity to have a meal at Teodoro, their fine dining restaurant. And it didn’t disappoint. The service was outstanding and the food was exceptional. If you’re an adventurous eater, it’s a must try, and you’re going to love it. Some of the food can be a little challenging if you’re not so adventurous, but I’d still urge you to give it a go, as they can cater for special diets, allergies and preferences. The shows and entertainment were also great, my favourites include Elements (the visuals are really impressive), the Quirky show. There’s a special seating area reserved just for impression’s guests but there really isn’t a bad seat. Also the quality of all the musicians and singers at Cielo during lunch and bamboo in the evening was incredible. You can hear the music from bamboo if you sit outside at the restaurants, and I loved to lay on a sun bed around the lagoon with a drink just listening too. By far and away what makes this resort stand head and shoulders above the others is the incredible staff. It’s hard to know where to start as everyone I met greeted me with a smile, and couldn’t do enough for me. But I’m compelled to mention a few people that really stuck out; firstly a few of the delightful serves and bar staff at Impressions: Alfredo, Orlando & Sandra always making meals and bar visits a pleasure. Alfredo even made me a special goodbye drink which was delicious. Jorge and Viktor, the pool concierges, could not do enough for me. Cleaning my sunglasses, setting up the sun longer, even hunting down some lost property for me. Incredible service at every meeting. Daniel made the checkout experience a total breeze, and even ensured we hadn’t forgotten anything by running through a quick check list of common spots people tent to forget. Jesus at the entrance lobby ensured we got on our way smoothly and efficiently. The real heros are the Activities and Experiences team at Impression though. Axel, Ilse, Jose, Jazmin and Uziel are a dream team who not only run the activities, but unlike the entertainment team at secrets (who also do an amazing job, shout out Monica and Jessica who spent time with my partner and I, chatting and making us custom bracelets), take the time to engage with guests on a personal level, looking for opportunities to tailor and customise the experience, making it a truly unforgettable stay. Axel took me out on a kayak tour, as well as organised a catamaran trip with himself and Freddie, the resident sailor at secrets. He (Axel) told me about the local area, wildlife and the nearby reef at Cozumel. And let’s not forget the close up card magic tricks (which were genuinely astonishing), and the very competitive and fun games of Corn Hole. I also did aqua aerobics and spin with Jose, Ilse and Axel who all managed to make working out really fun. It’s a good idea to keep moving on those types of vacation, even if it’s just for a short time, and the sessions were really well thought out and accessible for all abilities. Ilse, Axel and Jazmin all did a great job with bingo, providing lots of entertainment, facilitating interactions with other guests, and handing out prizes (I finally won the coveted T-shirt on my last day!) After I spoke with them about tequila one afternoon, they went ahead and organised a surprise private tasting with the head bar tender, Viktor, up in Cielo His knowledge on the subject is vast, and I got to not only taste several tequilas but also learn about the history, culture and pairings to go with them. A real personalised experience which I’m truly grateful for. I cannot imagine this happening at any other resort. My partner was given some special gifts from Ilse for her birthday too. It’s hard to share enough words to explain how much their care and attention made the stay go from a great relaxing 5 star vacation to an experience we’ll remember forever, and one I would highly recommend. Everyone makes mistakes, but what separates a good resort from a great one is how they deal with any issues. To that end our butlers, Neftali and Emilio, more than deserve to be mentioned. They helped us with anything we needed, and after a disappointing experience at one of the restaurants (a rare event as all the other meals I had were fantastic) moved mountains to ensure the rest of the stay was as smooth as possible. Even got the resort management involved to understand the issue and make things right. Which they did. So I’m happy to report that if you were to have any problems or concerns, this is the sort of place who’ll take care of it and ensure you’re having the best possible time. I highly recommend this resort, and have no doubt at all that I’ll be back at the earliest possibly opportunity.

Best Vacation Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We stayed at Impression Moxche for my dad’s 60th birthday and had a wonderful time. Definitely the most fancy resort we have stayed at. The facilities were beautiful, staff were attentive, and the food was great. Lots of variety of food to choose from. The service was top notch. I would highly recommend this resort and would certainly stay here again!
