We just got back from our honeymoon where we spent a week at impressions. We can’t say enough great things about the resort. The resort itself is stunning, there are so many pools with different vibes, depending on how you’re feeling for the day. I love how an impression you get two extra pools to use, which were great if we felt like we wanted a slower vibe. The food everywhere we went was amazing, there’s also food everywhere. Every lobby, every walk-through, through all parts of the day there’s food being made the common areas, and the fact that there’s a 24 hour coffee shop dessert place is amazing. We’re not big drinkers, but every drink that I had was great and the little specialty bars that they have popped up at bamboo. and the lagoon because of the World Cup were especially delicious. We had a suite on the first floor of impressions with our own pool, however, due to the location, it didn’t get much sun and it was a little too cold to use. We asked if we could be moved to a higher floor to a regular suite with a Jacuzzi the patio and they have one available that we moved to halfway through our trip. To be honest, this room was even better, larger, and better suited our needs. I think the suites with the personal pools are great if you’re on the side of the building that gets full sun all day. The seaweed was pretty terrible, and there was absolutely no one in the water the whole time we were there, which wasn’t surprising, and was also something wewere well prepared for. Even though I’m someone who loves the ocean, I don’t feel like there was anything missing from the this trip by not being able to go in. There are so many great locations within the resort to relax and spend your days that it really wasn’t missed. There is a crew working tirelessly all day every day to try and remove as much as they can, I’m assuming at this point it’s just because of the smell not so that anyone can use the water. We did use this spa but only for a complementary 25 minute massages. The spa is expensive, no more expensive than any other resort I’ve been to, but not something we wanted to spend the money on. We did, however, upgrade to be able to do the water journey after our massages which was well worth it. Our two butlers Mariela and Maria were the absolute sweetest. I don’t feel too demanding as a guest that anything we did need they were always there to accommodate. They answered any question we had and as soon as we got to the resort, they recommended that we book dinners for every night there. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do this and wanted to see how I felt each day with what I wanted to eat, but we took their advice and booked as soon as we arrived. I’m glad we did as the resort got busier throughout the trip and it looked like it was harder to get reservations. I recommend to tell them to book every night for you and what time you wanna do dinner. We did dinner at 8 o’clock most evenings, which was because the restaurants were a little quieter and it was right before the show started in the evening so we could go straight from dinner to show. We went on two trips while we were there, went into town shopping and wanted to Xplor Fuego. On both trips, Maria and Mariela made sure that we had anything extra we needed to take with us, checked in with us pre-and post trip and answered any questions that we had. Besides Maria and Mariela, Jessica, who we first met at the beach club restaurant was always super attentive and joy to see each day. All in all, I don’t think there was a staff member that we met, who wasn’t helpful, happy and joy to be around. If you’re looking to have a little bit more privacy like we were and enjoy being a romantic couple than I would definitely recommend paying the extra for the impression side. Having those two extra pools and a couple of restaurants that just impressions guests could use, felt really special. We highly recommend this resort and will definitely be back again. All throughout the trip, they were little things here and there that the resort did to make our honeymoon even more special and that will be something we always remember. Thank you! Mr & Mrs Diaz

My husband and I went to Impressions by Secrets and had a phenomenal experience. As a travel advisor, I visit many properties and this one definitely stood out to me. I was so happy to spend 5 days at this beautiful property. The pools were amazing and there was always a variety of options. We really enjoyed staying on the Impressions side. I would definitely return to this resort and highly recommend it to anyone considering an adults-only vacation. The service was top notch, and our butlers were fantastic (Mateo and Alberto). The beach was not swimmable due to the seaweed, but this is a common issue right now all over right now. We still had a great time and really were impressed.

My wife and I had a wonderful 26th anniversary celebration at this beautiful property. Service was excellent. Food was spectacular.

Truly incredible property. We enjoyed everything about it. Unfortunately my husband got food poisoning (diagnosed my dr on resort property) there and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital for medication and fluids. The resort staff was well aware and no one inquired about where we had eaten or seemed concerned in the least to try to figure out where it was sourced. Truly brushed under the rug. Beware that If you ever need medical care that requires an ambulance the resort requires you to use their private service and hospital that is *extremely* expensive compared to other medical care in the area. Ambulance ride was 1k usd and had to pay $1500 as a deposit in order to get care once at the hospital. They quoted us 6k usd for 5 hours/IV medicine and fluids. That did not include the ambulance ride or other medicine from the pharmacy.

Attention to detail is immaculate. The hotel grounds, pool and rooms are stunning. The food is impeccable. Nothing negative to say, expect for that we stayed too short! Additional shout outs to the entertainment staff, Jose and Jasmine, for their great activities; as well as our butlers, Rafael & Gilbert, for making our stay extra special during our anniversary celebration.
