Reviews for Paradisus La Perla

The front desk management behaviour is unacceptable.

There is a constant Internet and power disruption on site. I couldn’t accept the work calls even though I specifically checked the availability of the internet on site before coming here. The reception staff is forcing you to pay for the upgrades - at first they put us into reserve building, because the regular building is currently under construction and then you have to walk miles to the beach and other amenities all the time. The front desk manager Alberto specifically told us that we have to pay to use the amenities, otherwise we would have to walk 15 minutes every day to get food and to get to the beach ( we could not even get coffee and water available on our building). When we asked us to put in the regular building instead, the guy told us that we would have to be near the construction site and experience the noise. The question to the staff: Why are you putting people into the reserve building and force them to either pay extras or walk a long distance in +35 C to use the amenities? It was not our ask to be put into a reserve building, we booked a regular building, but the fact that we had to walk every time in the sun in +35 C to simply get water is so annoying. The food and everything else is amazing. The reception managers and staff - questionable. I would recommend double checking which room you have and what would be available to you beforehand if you don’t want to pay extras on site. They put you in a position when you have to pay extras for everything. I have been at many Melia properties ( including Paradisus in Punta Cana) and this kind of treatment is unacceptable. If you are not at reserve, you are just a piece of garbage and they will do everything to make you pay extras.

Amazing relaxing vacation!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

The resort and people were amazing. Reyna, at the Fahrenheit pool, was so attentive and friendly. Cynthia and Eduardo were absolutely wonderful and helped us plan our daily activities, made all our reservations, checked in on us frequently and sent us reminder text so we would not miss out on anything. They really made the vacation stress free and relaxing. We will be asking for them again when we return.

This hotel is an excellent choice if you are looking for a resort that ensures you have everything you need at your finger tips. There something to do for both kids and adults.

Surreal, amazing experience at Paradisus La Perla

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Food, service, atmosphere, activities and entertainment was amazing. We especially want to give a shout out to Ismael, Sandy, and Julio from Hadar. As well as Leonardo from the habachi experience and the instructor who teaches yoga, pilates, and water arobics. The cleaning crew was top tier. We had fresh bed sheets and towels every day and our rooms always smelled amazing whenever we walked in. 10/10 recommend.
